Our beautiful, Mt. Crested Butte condo (our second home) is very close to the ski area - a short walk, or only 100 feet to a shuttle bus stop to the ski area (5 minute ride.) In the summer there is every imaginable recreational opportunity: hiking, fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, etc. Fall offers incredible views of spectacular aspen colors. Outrun condos.
Corner unit, 2nd floor, lots of light, you see mountains out all the living area windows. There is a wonderful view of Mount Crested Butte from the deck and out the front window. You don't need a car. The town of Crested Butte, with lots of wonderful restaurants, shopping, etc. is 10 minutes down the hill by shuttle bus. Jet service from Denver & non stop flights from several other large cities is 31 miles away and a shuttle service runs to Mt. Crested Butte. Sleeps 6 adults, 2 children/teens (upper bunks). The Crested Butte area is unique. The road from Gunnison is a 30 mile ride down a spectacular valley that ends at Crested Butte, a former mining town that is designated as a historical site. You are surrounded by majestic mountains on all sides with views that rival anywhere in the world. The area has a reputation of being friendlier and less commercial than most other ski area/mountain towns. The ski slopes are seldom very crowded and lift lines are usually short. There are plenty of expert, intermediate and beginners runs to keep you busy for days, and of course, there is a great ski school with ski and snowboard lessons for all ages.

Owner Description
I am an emeritus professor at the University of Florida and my wife is a retired medical administrator from UF also. We live in Gainesville, Florida and spend the summers at the condo, which is our second home. We are both from Colorado originally, so we love getting back to the mountains. We have enjoyed furnishing and decorating the place, and one of our favorite pastimes is sitting out on the deck in the early evening enjoying the view of Mt. Crested Butte.
