This is a lovely, immaculate, newly renovated, four bedroom home, with a large, private backyard and acres of wild sloping fields that lead out to spectacular views. Outdoor seating and a picnic table with propane grill makes dining “al fresco” a snap. If the mosquitoes are pesky, retreat to the newly refinished screened–in porch and enjoy the same lovely views, protected.
There is a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed on the ground floor, three more bedrooms on the 2nd floor: one with two twin beds and another with a full-sized bed. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom with tub/shower combination. The third bedroom on the 2nd floor is quite charmingly set apart in its own "wing" for extra privacy. With a queen sized bed and separate sitting /reading lounge, it makes a terrific master bedroom or luxurious guest room. Another full bathroom is on the ground floor. The two "masters" share this bathroom.
The kitchen is newly renovated and well appointed with kitchen gadgets, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and plenty of pots and pans. The dining room seats 6 – 8 people. The living room is cozy, and has a wood burning fireplace. There is an office space that also has a stacked washer and dryer.
This home is in Glendale, a quiet, private, area of Stockbridge, and just a short walk to the Rockwell Museum and down the street from Viva, a terrific "tapas" restaurant. Ten minutes to Tanglewood and Shakespeare and Company, Just 5 minutes to Berkshire Theater Festival!
The Berkshires is known for its wonderful shopping, restaurants, galleries, live theater, hiking trails, swimming holes, and ski resorts. We pretty much have it all here and Glendale - a charming nook in Stockbridge - is central to all of these activities and more. Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow as well as many wonderful museums are all within a shirt drive through the most stunning roadways in the Northeast. This home provides a wide array of cultural recommends as well as a thorough home-information packet. Come on in and relax.... You're on vacation!
