Stayed in this condo for 2 weeks. Our parents joined us for one week. This 3 bdrm condo is very spacious and is loaded with amenities. It has a large balcony where the sunsets are amazing. Property is well maintained, owner is super helpful and friendly, building staff are helpful. We felt really secure here too, as there are security personnel on 24 hrs a day. Easy to get into town by bus or taxi, the zoo is just up the road. Were already planning our next trip to Playas Gemelas.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We spent Jan. 16 - 26 at this condo. We were immediately impressed when we walked in and commented how much the photos were very true. Of course after hearing all about the view and the water on this particular bay, I went straight to the balcony to see for myself. Having been to PV a number of times, I was very curious and I was not disappointed. It truly was beautfiul. We had all the cookware and things we needed in the condo. They had left a great fruit basked and 6 pack of Corona for us with a letter that was very welcoming. For our family of 5 (kids are 10, 7 and 1), it was perfect. The older two shared the 2 twin room and their was a playpen and highchair for the 1 year old and he used the other bedroom. We had the master bedroom and felt the beds were very comfortable (something I find somewhat a challenge in many hotels in Mexico in general). The washer and dryer were a godsend and allowed us to travel with only carry ons to avoid extra baggage charges. The condo was stocked with beach toys, big beach towels and a cooler we used every day. They also had chairs to bring down to the beach, but because we had toys, stroller, cooler, etc., we chose to rent for $2/day from the condo for the palapas and loungers on the beach. Just made life easier and we tipped that guy well because he was so nice and always had them ready for us. The store at the Girasol next door was very handy and we used it often. They exchanged money for a better rate than the check in dest at the Girasol. The La Palapa restaurant there was also very good and reasonably priced we thought. The bus picked up right outside and was 7 pesos per person and we used it often. Cheryl Lee was so helpful and answered all my questions prior and while I was there (I couldn't find something). We had no issues with anything and would not hesitate to go back. I would highly recommend Playas Gemales and Cheryl Lee's condo. She was a pleasure to deal with and I highly suspect we will be back:)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I just had the best vacation of our lives in this condo on Playas Gemeles. Nothing backs up this statement more than saying we have already booked it for 2 months next year. The condo itself comfortably accommodated the 2 of us plus up to 4 guests visiting us during our stay. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable - always with night breezes and the sound of the ocean. There is spacious dining area for many people or more intimate dining space on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Always there were exquisite sunsets, beautiful night skies, and perfect beach viewing from our balcony 4 levels up. The beach itself was perfectly suited to our tastes - clean, nice and sandy and just big enough - leading to the ocean with waves large enough to have fun in. We spent a portion of almost every day on the beach. There is a restaurant an easy walk up the beach -- ambiance, views, service and food all excellent. It was our tradition to bring our guests to this restaurant for a relaxing, beautiful dining experience on the evening of their arrival. A visit to Old Vallarta was an easy bus ride away and a tourist's delight. One could experience the bargaining tradition at the many sidewalk kiosks, as well as any kind of eating/dining experience, from the more primitive to the more elegant.. We visited Old Vallarta many times and never tired of the experience. Overall, we enjoyed the Mexican people, the culture, and the beauty of the land. At the condo itself, everyone who serviced the condo and grounds was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our list of special 'goodies' provided by the condo included: On hand drinking water, mini 'library', large towel supply (beach and bath), 2 tvs (many English channels), in-condo washer & dryer, lock drawer for valuables, overhead fans in all rooms, hairblowers (2), wonderful restaurant within easy walking distance, high level of cleanliness and maintenance, inside/outside surrounding beauty and easy to use bus & cab service. There was nothing not to like. I would say, we'll be back, but then I've already said that!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The pictures shown are absolutely accurate, except that they didn't show the whales that we got to view from the balcony! The owners have provided comfortable furnishings. Some of the tiling is old and chipped, especially on the kitchen counters, but everything was very clean. Easy checkin-check out. The bus to town comes just across the street. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes (maybe we were lucky) and it was 7 pesos. Cabs to and from town are 100 pesos and the front desk will call them for you. It was convenient to have both a mini-mart (with a few fresh groceries such as eggs, bread, limes, tomatoes, avocados) and a restaurant next door. My husband said that he had never been as happy as we were able to watch the football playoffs on a flat screen TV in the living room while listening to the ocean surf in the background. (There were many U.S. and Canadian stations available). Owners provided lots of towels, two beach chairs, and kitchen amenities including variety of pots and pans, coffee and filters, tea, dish soap, and a few condiments. More beach chairs and lounges were available to rent for about $1.50 a day. This beach was the best that I have been to in Puerto Vallarta ( we have been there many times) as it was uncrowded, very few vendors, the water was so clean that you could see the sand, and the sand itself was more powdery than other beaches in PV. It is a short beach for walking, but that is one reason there are so few vendors. Having a washer and dryer was great. Hair dryers were provided in baths. Beds were very comfortable. They even have a double Ipod dock and speakers, as well as a DVD player and lots of DVDs and paperback books. We will definitely stay here again. For outstanding seafood, try Marisco Polos downtown. Also we like El Repollo Rojo (The Red Cabbage) for upscale Mexican food and the River Cafe for a nice evening out with live music. If you like good wine, bring it with you ( you are allowed to bring 3 bottles each into the country) as it is very expensive in Mexico. The wine that we normally buy for 15 USD was the equivalent of 40 USD at the River Cafe. Stick with margaritas!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

This condo is exactly as advertised. We were nervous being newbies to vacation condo rental but Cheryl-Lee made us feel so comfortable with the whole process. Our family of 8 fit very comfortably. Everything about the condo and property was perfect. The staff was very helpful and the property is secure. This condo complex is situated on arguably the best beach in puerto vallarta. The pools are great and the grounds are immaculate. I can't say enough about the condo and facilities. Thank you Cheryl-Lee. We will definitely stay here again and again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

The reasons to rent this condo are many. Spacious living spaces, 3 bedrooms, very clean, a newly renovated kitchen that is well stocked with all dishes, cutlery, pots and pans; everything that you might need. Oh yes, a marguerita maker as well!! In the early evenings, witness beautiful sunsets as you sit on the balcony having our "home cooked meals" or sit at the open air, nearby, restaurant. Three heated pools and the ocean are in your front yard! Watch the sea life, ride the bus into PV for a fun day of bargain shopping and a great cultural experience. If non-water exercising is what you like, walk quickly along that beach outside your front door, it's a great workout. My one week was not enough to see all the sites in and around PV. I will definitely be going back in the near future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

When searching for the perfect vacation rental, the sheer volume of possibilities can be overwhelming. At some point, you have to take a chance. My husband and I and our 3 kids stayed here from March 10-19 (2009)and had such a lovely holiday. Playa Gemelas is the cleanest, most beautiful beach, I have ever seen in Puerto Vallarta. It was also quiet and allowed us to truly relax and take in the surrounding beauty without being distracted by throngs of noisy people. The apartment is huge, airy, and comfortable and even had a cupboard filled with drawing paper and felts for the kids - we also found water toys which was a huge hit. The pool is sparkling clean, the grounds around the apartment are lush with flowers and immaculate lawns. There is a restaurant right next-door which offered good food, excellent drinks, and warm service. If your children are old enough, you can even have a quick "date night" without the kids as you're literally in whistling distance. A short bus or cab ride takes you into town where you can spend the day shopping, eating, and enjoying a real cultural experience. And at the end of the day, it was so nice to return to our little spot in paradise, put the kids to bed, and sit on the deck with a cup of tea, looking up at the stars and hearing the waves crashing the beach right below. I am so looking forward to returning to this place. We took a chance renting this condo and are so glad we did - the owner, Cheryl-Lee, is an enthusiastic host and was always available to answer any questions or concerns. If you rent this condo and are not completely satisfied with your holiday, I would be truly shocked. This is perfect for families - I will never stay in a hotel again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

We loved this condo! It was clean, well-maintained and very comfortable for two s and 4 teenagers. We loved the location, being south of the busy downtown PV but only 15-20 minutes by taxi or bus. The beach is clean, not too crowded and perfect for body surfing. There is a really good restaurant on the beach next to the condo building with live music. The view from the balcony is spectacular. The day we arrived we saw a humpback whale breaching in the distance. The owners as well as the staff at the condo provided excellent customer service. This condo was everything we wanted and more.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Having just returned from this beautifully scenic property in PV I can still close my eyes and be right there again. I was particularly taken with the layout of the condo. Having been in quite a few, I was impressed with the view from every window, especially the deck overlooking the ocean. We saw whales and dolphins-definitely take binoculars!! It was a million dollar view while enjoying a meal prepared right in the condo for us by a local lady.(ask for her information - you won't be disappointed and the cost is more than reasonable) We were pleasantly surprised with how simple it was to travel the few minutes to and in the city. The bus and the cabs stop right outside the condo and everyone was very helpful. To walk downtown and see the sand sculptures, shops and attractions was a fun day. Taking the water taxi to Yelapa was exciting and memorable. Renting a jeep for a day was ideal, having the wind in your hair and seeing some of the small villages off the beaten path made for a funfilled day. Coming home to a Mexican meal and relaxing at the pool was the perfect end to the day. The Sea Life Adventure Park was a must for kids and adults. The swim with the dolphins there was the highlight for the kids. Zip-lining, the adventure zoo and para-sailing will have to be next time as I hear they are so much fun. The whole holiday was just awesome - from the wonderful ocean breezes coming through the spacious condo with the view of the kids at ocean beach and pools to the attractions and sites. I highly recommend this very relaxing property just minutes out of Puerto Vallarta.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 12/12

I just got back yesterday from this wonderful place and I'm already thinking about when I can return, this time with my whole family! The beach was pristine, not a speck of seaweed in the water or a rock on the beach. It wasn't ever crowded, (a well- kept secret, I think!) and if you didn't feel like salt water, there were 3 heated pool options to chose from. The condominium itself was beautiful, breezy and with a stunning view of not only the ocean, but the on-site small botanical garden full of hundreds of species of tropical plants and trees. The furniture and decor was tasteful traditional Mexican in theme and comfortable as well! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils as well as some food items that you were welcome to help yourself to in a sort of honor system. The staff was so helpful and friendly and anything you could need was, if not right on site, just down the road or a short bus/taxi ride into town both of which were easy to obtain. I liked the fact that it was slightly out of the centre of 'condo territory' so you didn't feel so much a part of the throng of tourists that make their way to PV daily. It was quiet, but also very welcoming of families of all ages. I really have nothing other than completely positive things to say about my week in PV. I only wish I could have stayed longer! I would recommend this condominium to anyone. Beautiful place to which I hope to return again and again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 11/11
