We rented the cabin when we were visiting Sewanee for my 20th class reunion. The cabin is really nice and is very clean. You can't beat the location for a feeling of seclusion while being only a short drive from Monteagle and Sewanee.
Owner response:We always look forward to welcoming Sewanee Alumni back to the mtn! We appreciate the opportunity to make the reunion events - memorable and special! Thanks again for your patronage!

We have taken two trips to Napa Nook and plan to go back again. This is an awesome getaway for a couple or a small family. We went without the kids and enjoyed the peaceful quiet and each other's company. We stopped for dinner at Crust pizza and went to the Monteagle Winery. House is fully equipped with everything you will need. TV is a little small, but we made do. We will be visiting again in the future!!!!

Our trip started by us looking for a place to stay just outside of Nashville. So we found such a place...Mount Eagle, cabin, fireplace, jacuzzi and a lake with in walking distance. What else is needed?! This home is located in a private community that is only accessible through a gated entry. For nearby dining options, we ate at High Point, an old stone house that used to be Al Capone's hideout (so delicious...split the 18oz New York). For breakfast we tried the Smokehouse (average southern cooking /huge portions/random gift shop) Thanks John for a taste of Mount Eagle!
Owner response:Guests are pleasantly surprised at athe peace and serenity Monteagle Mtn has to offer. Quiet, private, peaceful, historic, romantic, and relaxing are just a few of the adjectives used to describe this mtn oasis. Come visit and see for yourself!

We had a wonderful time while staying in your cabin. Someone thought of everything! It was great and we will keep your place in mind for a return visit. As well as recommend to friends and family! The cabin was nicely decorated and very cozy. Loved the Hot Tub! We loved touring around the University of the South campus.....lots of history and beautiful buildings. Great Bookstore as well! We drove to Greens View and the Cross. Both are very gorgeous and a must see! We loved the small shops in Sewanee, such as The Lemon Fair, Taylor's Merchantile, Locals and Woody's Bike Shop. Very neat little places. For dining we enjoyed Popa Ron's... so much so that we dined there twice! High Point is great, but pricey....but well worth it for special occasions! Again, thank you for everything. It was a fabulous place for a get away!!!

We took our two and half year old little girl on her first vacation. We stayed in Sept. of '03, for our third anniversary, and loved it. Our little girl, Molly, absolutely had a wonderful time (so ofcourse, so did my husband and I). The first day we took her to the Aquarium, which wasn't a very long drive at all. Molly was crazy about the resort's pool, she wanted to go every day, and there was spectacular view off behind it. She really enjoyed eating dinner outside, on the patio furniture, we saw several deer and we enjoyed listening and watching for the birds. We took her to walk around the flea market and she had a ball, she also racked up on the toys! The cabin was very clean, well stocked with cooking supplies, and the hot tub was awesome. The beds were smaller and harder than what we were used to, but it was totally worth it to stay in this wonderful cabin. We didn't try any restuarants, because I enjoyed trying new dishes in the well-equipped kitchen. It was very relaxing not to have to get ready and go somewhere to eat. I loved the surrounding road on my morning runs, the hills were a fun challenge. We enjoyed every minute of our three day stay, we will more than likely be going back next year, hopefully for a long time. Thanks, Sarah, Marty, and Molly Francis

Two immaculately clean, well furnished homes in the woods with nothing but the sounds of nature...and the jets of a hot tub! a wonderful retreat for us for the weekend. We honeymooned in Clifftops 12 years ago, returned for our 10th anniversary to Kelly's Cabin and again this year at Napa Nook because we couldn't wait until 15! Ate at Pearl's Cafe but didn't get to High Point this trip...too much gourmet, 5-star food the first night! Wish we had stayed a whole week. Will definitely return and have a hard time choosing between Kelly's Cabin or Napa Nook!

John, Amy and I had a great time at your cabin. We didn't realize how much stress we were living with near the city until we tried to relax at your cabin. By drinking a glass of wine by the fire and soaking in the hot tub, we were finally able to start to exhale by the end of our first night. Thank you for the great cabin, we'd love to come back.
