Floor (top floor) of a listed Art Nouveau building from 1910, accessed by a magnificent staircase over 3 1/2 steps - because the then construction of larger ceiling heights given longer stairs so that you arrive at the top, have climbed from today's perspective, 4-5 floors. (In view of the stairwell as time document no elevator is installed). You're rewarded with an unforgettable view over historic roof landscapes of Lake Constance and the Swiss Alps.                           Lindau - a gem in the old town of Constance! The island is connected by a railway embankment and a road bridge with the mainland area. The former free imperial city, was spared by the war, largely preserve its medieval character and has a wealth of historical attractions: Old Town Hall in the heart of the island, 'new' town hall next door chimes daily at 11:45 clock, City Museum (15th cent.) in the 'House for Cavazzen' (1729) - the picturesque building, considered as the most beautiful Baroque town on Lake Constance; 40m next to our house, the good 1000 year old St. Peter's Church (the only surviving wall paintings Hans Holbein the Elder about 1490), besides, visible even from the home in the right perspective, the medieval Diebsturm from 1380. Next you will experience in 50m vicinity of the apartment - 'around the corner' - '. Maximilianstr' the old town pedestrian zone with a variety of cafes, restaurants, stalls and shops - the ancient trading city has retained its liveliness to our days. In the 300m-radius you find the landmark Lindau, the world-famous harbor and the lighthouse (you can climb) and the Bavarian Lion, both from the mid-19th Century. - Through both monuments to squeeze the boat that will take you to the most beautiful places of the Austrian, Swiss, Swabian and Bavarian bank.
