Our family of 7 stayed at the apartment for a special occasion, and it certainly turned out to be a little "gem". It lived up ago all the reviews we had read and although we were dubious about there being but one bathroom, we need not had worried as there was continuous hot water for us all. The localities was perfect and everywhere was within easy reach. We were also lucky to be there for Rome's birthday celebrations which we certainly enjoyed. Giovanni and Teresa made us very welcome and our stay memorable. Highly recommended all round.

My family of 6 (spouse, 4 children) - stayed in this apartment from Holy Thursday through Easter Monday. Signor Neri was very prompt in replying to all queries. He met us at the apartment the morning we arrived in Rome, and showed us how all of the appliances worked and how to access the internet. The apartment was spacious, and slept all 6 of us very comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and serving utensils, and all the appliances worked well. The apartment is on a small side street near the Piazza Venezia and on the back-side of the Forum. There are a number of bus lines in easy walking distance, and the apartment is very close to the Theater of Marcellus and several excavations nearby. Two Despar grocery stores are about a 10 to 15 minute walk. There is a reasonably well stocked small market next door to the apartment. One of the employees speaks excellent English and was quite helpful in describing the different types of meat and bread. The Testavere district is about a 10 minute walk. Signor Neri recommended the restaurant Carlos Menta, which was very good and very reasonably priced. The Forum and the Coliseum are within easy walking distance - about 10 to 15 minutes, and the museums on Capitoline hill are perhaps a 5 minute walk. I would recommend this apartment, and would happily stay here again.
Owner response:Dear John, I greatly appreciated your wonderful reviews and I want manifest my gratitude for a detailed description of every aspect that surely will be of great help for the next customer. With my best wishes of good luck for you and your wonderful family. Giovanni

We were picked at the airport by Giovanni which I highly recommend. He kindly gave us information regarding the apartment and walking routes and buses to take to various locations, places to eat, grocery stores. We found the location excellent (close to Colesseum, Forum, Travestere, Jewish Getto) and the apartment was clean and as the photos depicted. Plenty of room for the 5 of us.
Owner response:Thank you Luciama, I appreciated very much your review. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Rovigo. With my best regards, Giovanni

Fouropf us stayed at the apartment and thought it was wonderful. Great location and the young man who works in the store downstairs speaks good Englisn and is very helpful. The only recommendation is a new toaster but otherwise everything was great. A bit of a hike up to the apartment which could be difficult if someone was disabled but it is a very old building.

This is a very quaint apartment and was great for our big family. The location was even closer than expected to the Colosseum and Forum, and we were also able to walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. Convenient bus access to the Vatican and other locations in town which we visited. We have children ranging from age 5 to age 19 and found the 3 bedroom accommodations to be very comfortable for all. In addition, the owner was very kind and helpful at check-in. We had gotten lost on the way from the airport, but he and his wife were patiently waiting. Only shortcomings were the hike to the 3rd floor and the single bathroom, but neither were insurmountable problems. We would recommend this to a friend and would certainly stay there again. Thanks!

We knew from the map that this apt is quite close to some of the greatest historical sites in Rome, but unitl we got there, we had no idea how close. A short walk across the street and up a small hill and you are looking out over the ruins of the Roman Forum with the Colosseum in the background. A very short walk further and you are at the Capitolene Museum and Campidoglio square. We walked from this location to virtually every site we visited in Rome. We did take a cab to the Vatican but walked back through sites we had yet to see. The apartment is not huge but easilly accomadated the four of us quite comfortably. Although it is very centrally located, it is in a nice, quiet area with almost no traffic. We thoroughly enjoyed are time here! Giovanni is an exceptionally helpful owner who went out of his way to assist us with whatever we needed. This included driving us to a cell phone store on the day of our departure to get our Italian cell phones programmed! Thank you, Giovanni! If we make it back to Rome, I would not hesitate to stay again in this apartment.

Our family of four (including two teenagers) stayed at the apartment during our vacation in June. We got picked up from the airport and taken right to the apartment - no worries about the taxi finding it - and Giovanni and Teresa met us there to walk us through everything, give us a map, recommendations for dinner, etc. They were SO helpful! Great location, air conditioning, and plenty of room for everyone. Thank you for your hospitality!!! We loved it.

Thank you so much for helping us upon arrival to Italy. The apartment was great for us! We really were able to do and see so much in our short stay here. Hopefully, we can make it back to Italy some day soon. We would stay here again in a minute, so close to so many sights. Until then, arrivederci.

This apartment was wonderful! The apartment is clean and full of every conceivable necessity. Giovanni was a great host and we recommend arranging a ride from the airport if you have lots of luggage because it is just easier. The building is 400 years old which makes you feel like a part of history. The apartment is inviting and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. They also provided a wonderful baby bed for our 6 month old child. The apartment is located in the heart of everything. We walked everywhere from the apartment. The Coliseum and the Roman Forum are within 5 to 10 minutes walk as are the Spanish Steps and Trastevere. We highly recommend Trastevere for restaurants that have good food and reasonable prices. We ate at Carlo Menta which was yummy and only €4 per dish.

I just showed this listing to a friend and realized that I never submitted a review after our stay last fall. The best feature about the apartment is the location. I lived in Rome for almost a year and this neighborhood is perhaps the best location in Rome for walking access to the maximum number of sights. It is within reasonable walking distance of almost everything except the Vatican and the Borghese Gardens. And there are bus stops within 200 meters to both of those destinations. If you want to take the Metro, there is a Linea B stop at Circo Massimo which is a 5-10 minute walk. Despite the excellent location, the apartment is in a small residential neighborhood tucked in behind the Forum and away from the tourist hotels. The apartment is well supplied with everything you need. Nothing fancy or romantic, just a typical Roman apartment with a small kitchen and a small bath. The bedrooms are fairly large by Roman standards. The owners are very kind and helpful. The only possible downside is that the apartment is on the (American) third floor with three flights of worn granite steps. For my family that was not a problem, but you should consider this before booking. As long as the stairs are not a problem, I highly recommend this apartment - absolutely a 5 star location.

This apartment is a jewel. It's very large, very clean, has everything that you might need or want and the owners, Teresa and Giovanni are as nice, helpful and accommodating as you find anywhere. The location is beyond great. It is literary THE CENTER OF Rome, as it is just downstairs from Campidoglio, the most beautiful place in Roma, according to my artist wife and the seat of Roma's government. To top it off, it is located just on the right side of Campidoglio, away from Piazza Venezia with all the traffic and the tourists 24x7. I've been staying in this place more times than I can remember, literary, over the years, and would recommend it to anybody. Suffice it to say that on more than one occasion we have shared this place with our friends and it was more than comfortable to share it. Now, that's the value you can not beat. In a word - THE BEST DEAL IN TOWN.

Apartment was very clean and in a great location. Central to all the major sights. Would stay here again and would reccommend it to family & friends. Ideal for a large group. Only one bathroom so showering took a long time for 5. Plenty of hot water. Giovanni arranged our transport to and from airport. This was great as we were taken rgiht to the door.

We spent a week in mid July 2010. We loved the apartment! The location is just unbeatable. It really is within walking distance of all the major sites, and it is just wonderful for to walk back home, after a day of sightseeing, pass the forum and the Campidoglio, and to invariably run into a wedding party and their photographer! It is a very easy walk to Trastevere across the oldest bridge in Rome. Many buses stop just a block or two away. There is a very well stocked mini-market in the next building and restaurants and a good coffee shop just across the narrow street. The coffee shop is very useful to get your makiato and croissants in the morning, or to have a pizza in the evening. The apartment is in a building with lots of character, the stairs are made of stone and the families that live in the building are very friendly. The apartment furnishings are simple and tasteful, and the kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is small, which you would expect in an old building, but the water pressure is very good. The air conditioning was a life saver during the hot summer days. Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 boys, ages 11, 11 and 12) were very comfortable. And Giovanni was extremely helpful with suggestions and directions. I highly recommend this apartment.

I want to thank the owners for the wonderful apartment!! We found the apartment to be perfect for us. We are a family with young children and teenagers and found the location and ammenities to be just what we needed. Having the air conditioning to come back to during the very hot days of July was defintely welcome. Any questions or concerns were handled immediately by the owner. We found the owner to be friendly and helpful at all times. Anyone renting the apartment should be aware that you need to climb the inside steps to the apartment, but as long as stairs are not an issue - it wasn't for us, then this isn't a big deal. Having a grocery market in the same building was incredibly helpful.

My family of seven stayed at Terry House for a week in July. We frequently rent apartments when we travel and this was our favorite. Best features: excellent location, and Giovanni, the host. Giovanni met us at 10 pm to accomodate our schedule, helped us find parking and provided a telephone for our use. You couldn't ask him for anything without him falling over to help. The apartment is on the small side, but accomodated the seven of us just fine. There is a small store below the apartment that allowed us to pick up cold drinks and small things needed for our meals. There is a restaurant steps away for that early morning coffee. And the apartment is really quiet. The whole feeling of the place is just perfect. Can't recommend enough. One thing to know, however, is that the apartment is up several flights of stairs. It may not be suitable for people with physical limitations.

Charming, clean, bright apartment in old building in center of Rome. We found the location ideal, the owner very helpful, and the apartment ideal for our needs. Price was great, and we had plenty of room for our family. Rented in January 2010. You do have to a few flights of uneven stairs to get to it - not a problem for us but could be for some.

Dear Giovanni, Our stay at your apartment in July was wonderful! The location is perfect, allowing us to walk everywhere easily and the atmosphere around the apartment was charming and very quiet. Thank you Giovanni for such a wonderful place to stay. You were so helpful showing us the markets, bus stops and helping us on the first day. My husband and I stayed at Terry's House for 5 nights here with our four children (ages 9-15). We all loved the apartment. GREAT location, bus stop nearby, SO quiet at night, lots of hot water, washing machine- we would definitely stay here again. The air conditioning was wonderful since the temps were unusually warm when we were in Rome. A great place to stay and so much better than having two hotel rooms! Grazie Giovanni!

So if you're looking for a designer apartment, this is not it! Apart from that it is perfect - great location, literally right next to the Roman Forum, shops and restaurants on your doorstep, close to buses etc, etc. Very clean and although really central was very quiet. Enzo, who picked us up at the airport (as arranged by owner for a really excellent price)was such a helpful gentleman. Great base for a stay in Rome!

We rented (myself, and 3 ladies - aged 80, 79, 72) Terry House for Christmas 2006. The location is incredible and the apartment is very clean and comfortable and well stocked with linens and dishes. I felt like I was doing a house exchange! The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to any concerns or questions. There is everything you need right on the street and the only problem was that it was up 2 floor and we had older people. I can't wait to return! Highly recommended!
