Accommodations:  Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)

Escape to a mountain paradise! Located in a spectacular, private valley surrounded by aspens, spruce & pines. Look out onto the shimmering pond from the covered stone porch & feel are your troubles melt away! This 40 acre property is a wonderful gathering place for family & friends. Bordering Pike National Forest, hiking & ATV riding on the national trail system is right out your door. ATV rentals available at Rockhound ATV in Crystola with delivery available. No need to trailer your vehicles!

Our large pond is stocked annually with rainbow & brook trout. Experienced fly fishermen & children casting their first line will enjoy reeling them in. No fishing license is necessary to fish on our private ponds. A paddleboat, canoe, small sand beach, firepit & picnic tables complete your lake experience.

Bring your own ice skates to skate on the smaller ponds right off the deck or curl up by the fireplace with a cup of cocoa. Enjoy the gorgeous scenery from the picture windows & watch all the wildlife that visits - deer, elk, even bear!

In order to help you "get away from it all", no satellite or internet is available. However, we have a large selections of DVD's & VCR tapes for you to enjoy as well as many board games & puzzles. Your group will have a blast exploring the woods, roasting hot dogs & making s'mores. Relax in the hammock next to the gurgling stream & enjoy the fresh mountain air.

The newly renovated cabin includes 2 bedrooms + a loft bedroom, 2 full baths, 2 living areas (with queen pullout sofa), fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, gas grill & decks on 3 sides. Sleeps 10 comfortably.

A pack & play crib & high chair are available for the little ones. Mountain decor enhances your experience. Tongue & groove walls & ceilings throughout the home & a gas fireplace is in the cozy den.

All wheel or 4 wheel drive is recommended in snowy weather; however, snowplowing is provided. We are proud to provide a clean, smoke-free environment sure to make for a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation!

RESERVATIONS
Reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

You must be 21 years or older to secure a reservation.

We accept VISA, MASTERCARD or checks.

A refundable damage/reservation deposit of $250 is required at the time of booking. This deposit is not applied toward rental payment, but is fully refundable providing there is no damage to unit upon departure. 50% of rental payment is due 60 days before arrival. Balance of rental payment is due 14 days before arrival.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT
Check in time is 4:00pm, check out is 11:00 am.

CANCELLATION FEE
30 day cancellation notice required.

REFUNDS
No refund of reservation deposit will be made unless cancellation request is made at least 30 days prior to the date on which the reservation begins. A $25 processing fee applies to any cancellation.

DAMAGE
Charges will be made for any broke or missing items and for any damages to furnishings and equipment in the amount necessary to replace and/or repair the items.

An additional cleaning charge will be made if any unusual or excessive cleaning is required when the tenant has checked out.

  • We had a wonderful time with our kids and grandkids at Willow Creek. We loved spending time around the large pond with the paddleboats and canoe. The fishing was great and all the children caught fish and learned how to "catch and release" them if you're not going to eat them. The hummingbirds entertained us too. We counted 12 at one time and filled the feeder with sugar-syrup every morning and sometimes in the evening also. They were hungry little rascals! The only other wild-life we saw was an inquistive little bunny peeking in the door early one morning. We did watch out for the bears who have been reported to come around to retrieve any dead fish that are left in the pond or on the bank. We used the fire pit by the pond or the one on the porch almost every night for "smores". The place far exceeded our expectations with all the comforts and conveniences of home but with marvelous views and activities that we all enjoyed. We hope to return soon. Great memories!! Thank you Karen and John for making your mountain home available for us to enjoy.

  • We just had the best vacation ever while staying in this cabin. I loved the hummingbirds- there were 9 feeding at one time! The wildflowers were unbelievable I had no idea there would be so many. The cabin is beautiful and the setting is amazing. We didn't miss Texas for one second. Bears and ATVs were unforgettable. My son (the Scrabble fanatic) loved the paddleboat. My teenage daughter the shopping queen couldn't wait to get back to the cabin the one time we left to go shopping! Can't wait 'til next year. Thank you for the great experience. -Terry Holloway

  • I have stayed at rental homes both in America and Canada, and this was by far the best! There was so much for the grandkids to do without the use of the "computer" or "t.v.". Wonderful base camp for day trips to the tourist places and for scenic drives. The beautiful, cabin was well stocked and the owners were only a call away. Thank you again for our memorable, family vacation.

  • We have used VBRO many times to find places to stay on vacation, Willow Creek is absolutly the BEST place!!! The setting for Willow Creek is so beautiful our 4 kids (12yrs-18 months) had so much fun playing in the beach, taking the paddle boat out on the lake, the fishing was great, we rode the ATV trails and they were a blast. John & Karen were very helpful and they have everything you need at Willow Creek. We would highly recommend this place to stay you can have quality family time in a beautiful place we are eargly waiting our next visit. THANK YOU!!!

  • For context, my wife and I had pretty much decided we wouldn't vacation the same area twice because there are so many places we have not been. That said, we are already wondering how long it will be before we come back to this house. As great as it looked from the website, it doesn't do the property (or the house) justice. One of our favorite places ever, and our girls loved it (ages 1 and 3). Beautiful, beautiful place.

  • We stayed Easter week 2009. This place rocks. Everywhere you place your eyes is a feast, from what seemed to be a professionally decorated interior to the ponds steps from the front door to the forest and mountains in the background. We rented the 4 wheelers from Rockhound and saw unbelievable sights that Disney could only envy. It snowed twice while we where there and we got lost out on the trails once. John was there each time we found challenges, and graciously saved the day. How many great memories we had, including homecooked meals, movies and family games nights. We made plans for the next trip while still on vacation. Thanks John and Karen!

  • I took my 3 kids here for their first ever visit to colorado. The cabin (nice house actually) seems a little removed, but it is actually not far from many family and kid friendly activities. We went on nature hikes, we went to all the touristy places, caught rainbow trout in the pond, stayed up late and watched the stars, and we even saw a herd of elk walk through the property! I now have three kids that want to live in colorado! I enjoyed it so much I went back and took my younger girlfriend and we never left the property! This place has it all...from family related activities to a romantic getaway for two!
