Nice Unit

My husbanda and I spent three nights in this unit. The condo and complex had many good features. The pool and beach was excellent. We snokeled, boogy boarded and played on the beach right in front of the complex. The bathroom and closets were very large and the parking good. The unit was clean and neat. For me, the kitchen was small and did not have everything that I needed to cook the meals that I wanted to make. But this is my issue since I LOVE to cook meals made of local produce while I am on vacation. I liked the ocean view, but I did not like the ground floor location. I just felt like the unit lacked privacy so I was always closing the blinds, thus closing off the view. Again, the unit was nice, it was clean and comfortable, it just was not the right unit for me. I think this unit would be excellent for anyone with limited mobility since the shower is designed to walk into.

We lucked out with this pale big time! We orginally booked another condo that turned out to be greatly misrepresented and was in really bad condition. We lucked out because Debbie had the exact dates we needed and with one phone call we were in and honeymoon was saved. The unit was impecibly clean and so close to the beach. We loved Castaways...watching whales while eating breakfast or having drinks at sunset...*perfect*. The bathroom was huge and it was nice that a door separated the shower from the vanity so we could both get ready at the same time. The beach was beautiful and uncrowned, there were two pools, the staff was very helpful...I could go on and on. Debbie, you saved our honeymoon and we are eternally greatful! Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us :). Mahalo!

Our stay was fantastic. This was our second time at the Villa's and our first time renting through Debbie, Who was wonderful to work with. You can't beat the Value. We have also stayed across the parking lot at the Westin Kaanapali Villa's which was also beautiful, but 4 times the price. I personally like this hotel better as it wasn't as packed, and has a much better swimming beach. You can also walk to the Whalers Village from here. The unit was fine. It was clean, newer kitchen, bed was fine. :) We don't spend a lot of time in the room when we go to Maui as we are always on the go, but when we did want to relax, it was great.

My husband, son and I just spent a wonderful week here. This condo has the best location in the complex. Consider-this is one of the few condos that has a real view of the ocean straight out the lanai-not sideways like from the tower, and not at a huge premium like the ones in A & B buildings. There is a large empty lot straight across from the condo that we even saw whales one afternoon (check google maps)! There are only 3 or so units that can see across this lot, and this one is center. Most of the other condos' lanais in all 4 buildings face the center pools except the ocean front A & B (which had a lot of foot traffic going to the beach and from the lounge chairs in front of them), and this row of condos in C & D. This row has the most privacy of all of the ground floor condos- great coming back from the beach & leaving sand outside. We saw almost nobody except a few joggers along the road which is lower than the building and separated by a thick hedge (makes it good for kids-you get some "yard" for them to play in with a good boundary). The road was barely traveled-only when people checked in/out and those staying in one of the front buildings. Also great is the proximity to either Kahekili Park (has toilet and shower facilities) for snorkling & swimming, or through the oceantfront entrance of the resort for fantastic swimming. The condo was almost spotless-if you're a clean freak, this is the one for you! (Seriously, the bathroom has mirrors on 3 walls and there wasn't a finger print on them) Plenty of drawer space in the double dresser, media center drawers and night stands, in addition to the bathroom large closet. The bathroom is huge-bigger than mine at home! The shower has room for a parent and several little kids. The bathroom and kitchen has beautiful stone floors, granite counters and stone backsplash in the kitchen. Overall, the condo is perfect for a family of 4 or 5 (all of us slept in the king bed the first night-would work fine with a couple bigger kids in the hideabed). This unit does have internet wifi btw. The pool is great-nice and warm. Cool having the restaurant onsite-you can also order takeout if you don't feel like cooking or sitting there with people. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. One thing I especially liked about the complex is we didn't feel like we were treated differently because we rented from an owner vs the resort (like I've heard at Honua Kai up the street). The man who checked us in was very nice. Very nice!

We stayed there in June 2010. The room was nice- I can't recall any problems like we found in other vrbo spots and the price is right. The property is well-kept, and is more relaxing than the busy area past Black Rock. A free shuttle takes you up there when you like though. It is not overrun by non-guests like some places are. We enjoyed the Beach Cabanas and hobie cat for rent and the beach rental people are nice and professional. The construction did not affect this unit. Snorkelling can be walked to at the adjacent beach park by the Westin (?). Recommended.
