24 hour secure, gated & friendly community in exceptional Colonial Country Club. Newly furnished, first floor Heron Carriage Home (1438 square feet) with 2 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 with 2 twins) plus den with full sleeper, 2 full baths. Enclosed lanai with relaxing lake view. Cable TV (3 sets, one DVD/VHS player), telephone (local calls included). Rented only twice.
Each neighborhood has an inviting and well maintained pool, hot tub and gas grills which are only a very brief walk. There is also a larger community pool between the clubhouse & community center. In the clubhouse you will find a remarkable dining room, grill room and spa. The Community Center is approximately 10,000 square feet outfitted with the state of the art fitness center, a library, crafts room, massage rooms, tennis shop with a full time director. The 18 hole Troon championship golf course was designed by Gordon Lewis with an aquatic driving range and putting green. Eight lighted Har-Tru courts and two hard surface lighted courts.
Social membership includes access to the community's activity center & various member activities. Golf membership not included but not necessary to play. Walking trails through breathtaking nature preserve with wildlife.
The community center has an extremely organized activities director who plans many choices of various activities for those who are interested. Some of the activities include day trips, Broadway show evenings out, dinner events, MahJonng, Texas hold-em poker, Bridge, Pinochle, Needle Nuts, various member get-togethers and many more.
About fifteen minutes away are Southwest Florida International Airport, Red Sox Spring Training Camp, quite the selection of outdoor shopping malls and many styles of dining choices. About thirty minutes to Fort Myers Beach & forty-five minutes to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, where dolphins are a daily sight and some of the world's finest shells are found.

Why the Owner Chose Colonial Country Club
We love the Fort Myers area and the Gulf Coast of Florida. We enjoy travelling to Sanibel Island, the outdoor shopping malls, the close proximity to nearby sport arenas and the convenience to the local airport.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We truly enjoy the relaxing environment of our gated community. While it is not limited to retirees, the majority of residents are adults of various ages. We also like the versatility of amenities the community has on the property, from the golf course, to dining, and health club. The office staff is superb and ALWAYS helpful. We especially enjoy that each neighborhood has its own pool which is only a short walk to where we enjoy the sun, pool and hot tub overlooking the lake. We find it is also the information mecca of the neighborhood!

My husband and myself are in our early fifties and mid forties, respectively, have two boys of college age and live in New England. We have always love the warm weather of Florida, have several friends in Fort Myers and enjoy vacationing on the Gulf Coast. We hope to someday winter in our vacation home and currently enjoy our visits.
