This beautiful historic house was originally built in 1902. Completed in 2008, it was transformed from a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1100 sq feet to 4 bedrooms, 4 and ½ bath 4000 sq foot masterpiece. You will still be able to find historic details from the original home- the original fir floor, wide boards from the frame converted to flooring, brick from the original fireplace on both fireplaces and in the wine cellar, the original 1902 sink restored in the butlers pantry.
The kitchen truly is a chefs dream. Granite counter tops, subway tile and glass tiles frame the kitchen perfectly. All the appliances are Thermadore, including the 6 burner, double oven with a griddle. Plenty of counter space as well as a prep sink complete with disposal will be the perfect place to gather after a hike or hard day on the slopes.
Every bedroom has a walk-in closet and its own private bath, each done with subway and glass tile. The large master suite features a reading area and gas fireplace. The master bath, done in Carrara marble, was a large jetted tub, double farm sinks and a steam shower with rain head. A true spa to rest in after a hard day of playing. All bedrooms have large top of the line flat screen TVs.
The house has plenty of storage, a wine room, butlers panty, ski prep room, wet bar in the living room and a private hot tub on the back deck. The living room has a huge flat screen TV and DVD player. Enjoy complementary wireless and long distance while staying in this exquisite home. This will be a house you will never want to leave.
Don't forget- you have a two car garage but don't really need it with this house! Main Street and the main bus terminal are out your front door and the town list is just down the street. You can't beat this location.

Map & Owner's Profile
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
My mom Lynn and I bought this house as a spec house in 2005. It was a 1100 sq foot run down minors house from around 1901. No one had lived in this house for over 40 years, it was being used as a place to store skis for the owners who lived in SLC. The only sign of life was a raccoon who came in from the cold through a fireplace. We gutted the home and added an addition. Somewhere during the remodel and addition we fell in love with the home and decided to keep it for our family. We started renting it in December 2008.
The Unique Benefits at this House
During our remodel and addition we found fabulous little touches in the home that we were able to save and put back in the new house. The bricks from the original fireplace were cleaned up and are now used in the living room fireplace, master bedroom fireplace and wine room. The original floor was found under two layers of laminate and still looked great. We sanded them down as much as we could, it can now be seen in the living room and dining room. We were able to save the gorgeous wide boards from the walls of the original home and used them as additional hardwood in the hallways and stairs. Lastly, the original sink was restored and now can be found in the pantry off the kitchen.
Besides all of the little details that were added, the location can't be beat. It is right across the street from Swede Alley (the road behind Main Street), you can walk to Main Street for your morning cup of coffee at Cows in about 1 minute, the transit center is down the stairs and a block to the right- that will take you where you need to go for free (if you don't use the 2 car garage) and the town lift is just on the other side of Main Street.
We have free local and long distance in the house, free wireless high speed, all the bedrooms and living room have flat screen TVs, a hot tub service to maintain your spa, a shoveling service to make sure the snow and ice don't harm your trip and beautiful Pottery Barn and restoration Hardware furniture through out.
Park City's main transit center, where all the free buses start and stop.
Chair lift to Park City Mountain Resort, you can buy lift tickets here and ski back across the ski bridge.
