Our stay at Ellen and John's studio apartment was terrific. After a small apartment in New York, the larger space was so welcome. Cereal, coffee and tea in the cupboard were a big bonus. The place was spotless, and the hosts were very welcoming and quick to answer our questions. I'd recommend it anytime - and not just because it's in such a great part of the city.

We were lucky to find such a great place…close to my daughter’s apartment, in such a beautiful neighborhood. Last year, my husband and I stayed for a month and then, this year, for two weeks to help with our new-born granddaughter. The owners are warm, welcoming and full of insider tips - inexpensive ethnic restaurants (Abacus) and neighborhood favorites (Zazie), good view spots, free deals (museum days, gallery openings, neighborhood walking tours, etc). Hard to believe the studio is in the middle of a city! It looks out onto a garden, is quiet and attractively furnished and felt spacious and comfortable for both our stays. Ellen even gave us a ride when our taxi didn’t show up. We plan on making this an annual trip!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful in every way! The owner responded right away to my inquiry, and communication was very easy by phone and email. Our flights were delayed, but the owner was right there to meet us as we arrived, even though it was late at night. She was so friendly and helpful!! The studio itself was just as charming as charming could be. It was super comfortable and quiet and ideally located close to all sorts of delicious eateries, and to public transportation. Of special note, the sheets and towels were quite luxurious. Wonderful!

Hi Emily - sorry it has taken me a bit longer than it should have to write this review but I definitely want everyone to know that it such a lovely studio apartment - clean, the bed is sooooooo comfortable, quiet location, well located and the back garden is so private and perfect place to chill out after a busy day running around. Lots of cafes/eateries nearby (the little burger place just around the corner - the name has slipped my mind...oh my goodness, they serve the biggest burgers!), supermarkets handy and the tram stop is just around the corner. Many thanks Emily for being such a lovely and warm host, you were fantastic emailing back and forth, on hand if we had any questions and we will definitely be in contact for another stay on our next visit to SF.

We were super happy with this studio for our Valentine's Day weekend in SFO. Location is perfect -- nice neighborhood with good restaurants within walking distance. Public transportation options nearby made us grateful that we didn't rent a car. Gourmet grocery on the corner is great for a cup of coffee and breakfast as well as buying goodies for the studio fridge. Space is clean and quiet. Bed is very comfortable with nice linens. Back porch and garden is private and lovely. Only change I would make is for wireless internet. Internet is there but wired on desk. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful!

This was a great place to stay for us with our baby. The location was close to golden gate park and tons of good food. The unit is very comfortable, quiet, with nice furnishings, character, privacy, a good amount of space and a garden view. The owners are very nice.

Hey Emily, Thanks again for the letting us stay at this lovely studio. It was just like the pictures shown on your website, but the pics dont do it justice. It was better than the pics. We had a great 4th of July weekend and was in the perfect spot for it. The market down the street was a plus to get great wine & food at. Also your binder with all the information to San Fran was very helpful. Thanks! Will be looking forward to staying here again!!

This studio apartment was perfect for our five night stay. The room is comfortable, quiet and private. It is in a beautiful neighborhood and convenient to everything the city has to offer. Sitting in the tranquil garden is a perfect way to begin and end your day. The hosts were gracious and full of information and advice. We highly recommend this studio apartment for your short or long term stays!
