Villa 'Mar Vista' is located on a cliff with fantastic sea views of the Mediterranean and the Costa del Sol. A beautiful deck on the edge of the pool and property make you feel like you are on a ship at sea. The gated community of La Paloma is an exclusive estate and has 24 hour security.
The 4 bedroom villa benefits from its own 8x4m private pool with a shallow end for the children. The villa is elegantly furnished, air conditioning/heat throughout, wireless Internet (broadband/DSL) access and satellite TV. 800m to the beach and a 5 minute drive to the marinas of Sotogrande and Duquesa which have a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops.
La Paloma is located 20 minutes from Gibraltar, 50 min. from Malaga, 30 min. from Marbella and Puerta Banus, 1 hour from Jerez, 2 hours from Seville and 2 hrs. from Granada (excellent skiing in the winter at the Sierra Nevada). For the golfers you are spoiled with Valderrama, Sotogrande, San Roque (2 courses), La Reserva and Almenera within a 10 minute drive.

We had a wonderful time at Mar Vista, the home is spectacular and the view is worth $1.0M. We found some great restaurants in the area and truly enjoyed the golf. San Roque was lots of fun, especially the Old course, but we found Valderrama was a bit disappointing, especially given the cost. We also played Alcaidesa and Aloha. Aloha was fun but we really enjoyed Alcaidesa and it's views. We spent a day in Gibraltar which we also enjoyed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I recently enjoyed a one week stay in this fabulous home overlooking the coast. My friend and I were absolutely amazed not only by the beautiful home, but also by the breathtaking view!! I wish I could have stayed longer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Unbelievable property! We stayed here for one week with another couple and had more room than we needed. The view was out of this world! You could spend the majority of your time on the back pool/patio over looking the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea, Rock of Gibraltar, and Africa. A short drive to area beaches, restaurants, and entertainment. The house was extremely well kept, and had everything we needed. The listing description and photo's are as expected and much, much, more. The owner was incredibly helpful and we will certainly be back, and highly recommend this to anyone!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The feel of this villa, its outdoor patio/pool, the peace & quiet and the view are so seductive that we had difficulty leaving the place and go anywhere at all. It's a beautiful villa in an excellent setting and worth the money. We had one of the most relaxing times away ever. The caretakers are a wonderful family just down the road and very helpful. The owner is first rate to deal with and went out of his way from abroad to help us connect to the internet when we coudln't get connected at first. What more could one ask for? Maybe another week ...Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
