Hidden on a secluded street among tasteful homes, this house sits on a bluff facing due west. The ocean crashes below and no neighbors are seen except a few dolphins and migrating whales.
The house has a wall of windows, two stories high, with all rooms facing the ocean. A deck the width of the home, is 30 feet deep with sturdy glass panels. They define the edge of the continental United Sates. Below are the crashing waves of the Pacific. The setting is pretty dramatic.
A fireplace, comfortable patio furniture, and a table for 6 is set for outdoor entertainment. An outdoor kitchen is modestly set in the corner, but beautifully done in the finest materials, ready for entertaining needs.
As you enter the house through huge teak doors, a stone zen garden boundaries a large Jacuzzi and fireplace with an elegant seating area for 5. Here is a quiet place to enjoy drinks while relaxing in the Jacuzzi. Large walls make it a very private intimate space.
From your first glance through the teak doors the ocean is seen through a second set of front doors made of glass. The living room, two stories high, is filled with elegance and warmth including a third fire place. This fire place took 7 months to build and stands the height of the living room. A baby grand piano sits in the corner. The living room opens fully up to the ocean patio.
A large gourmet kitchen has space enough for several cooks. It is fully modern with granite counter tops and top of the line appliances. Both the kitchen and dining area have full ocean views and the doors open up to catch the breezes.
The master bedroom is upstairs with a comfortable queen bed and a private ocean balcony. Within the suite, is the bathroom with a stand alone tub. As well as a luxurious shower for two. Up on the third floor is a private exercise room fully equipped with GTS gravity training system, and le Meond fitness bicycle, with a complete set of weights. Below the master suite is the second bedroom with a king sized bed, a bathroom and a closet. A full glass wall opens up to the deck. On the other side of the house above the kitchen is an office/bedroom with a closet and bathroom. A comfortable queen sized futon folds out for extra sleeping accommodations. The office may be used by those who can not leave work behind.
