APARTMENT WAS EVERYTHING WE HAD EXPECTED AND MORE - SERVICE WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING

Date of Stay: 05/11/12 Review Submitted: 05/23/12

Hello Louis, We arrived home late last night and are feeling the effects of the time change. As far as a review on the services, excellent. You helped out on late notice for Barb's cousin for transportation, that was much appreciated. Paris is not a place to see in 10 days, we hardly had time to sleep and wished we had more time to have enjoyed your recommendations. The restaurant we went to on our last night was wonderful and the people were so kind to us, thank you. Our driver was on time when leaving and we appreciated the comfortable ride to the airport, with no stress or worries. The apartment was also excellent, being so close to rue cler made our stay so nice, everything we could have wanted and outdoor cafes for wine and people watching. We had plenty of space for relaxing, it was very clean and the kitchen was fantastic - I highly recommend to stay and if I am ever lucky enough to go back I would not stay anywhere else. We were in every district of Paris and feel that we were very lucky to have stayed in the apartment and the district that we did. Once again, thank you for all your assistance, the apartment was everything we had expected and more and your service was very accommodating with prompt responses. Best regards to you,

Un Nid Parfait (A Perfect Nest)

Guest: Amy (Washington, DC)
Date of Stay: 12/25/11 Review Submitted: 01/02/12

Our stay (which was to celebrate the holidays as well as a special birthday for my husband) was excellent, and Louis took very good care of us. We were delighted to be able to do our food shopping on the rue Cler and to cook in such a modern, well-equipped kitchen. We can't wait for our next stay in this perfect little nest.

DELIGHTFUL MODERN APARTMENT HAS EVERYTHING FOR A COMFORTABLE STAY

Guest: Susan (MARYLAND - USA)
Date of Stay: 09/21/11 Review Submitted: 10/17/11

This delightful modern apartment has everything for a comfortable stay. It’s especially appropriate for older couples, since the building has elevators (two elevators, in fact, each of which can hold 4 persons – or two persons and luggage). The kitchen is very well equipped, with an oven that offers convection, induction, and microwave functions. The bathroom is new, with a snazzy glass sink and a spacious shower. There’s plenty of closet and shelf space, and the wifi works well. THE DOUBLE BED HAS A COMFORTABLE MATTRESS. THE LIGHT AND VIEW ARE EXTRAORDINARY: the large windows open onto the building’s garden, and the apartment is eye level with some magnificent flowering trees and bushes, which are home to many birds. THE APARTMENT ITSELF IS VERY QUIET; no footsteps above or below, no banging doors, no other voices. There is, somewhere in the building, a budding saxophone player, but his/her after-supper practicing was brief and charming, not offensive. THE LOCATION ONE BLOCK FROM THE RUE CLER MARKET AND TWO BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE METRO, IS IDEAL. BEST IF ALL IS LOUIS: he was reassuringly in touch, hugely helpful, and he provided all the information we needed to enjoy the apartment and the city. We recommend this apartment highly and look forward to returning.

Awesome flat and location

Simply put, I cannot say enough about this apartment. It is beautifully designed and has an amazingly convenient location. We were greeted by the host and she gave us a quick overview of the apartment and was extremely friendly. The apartment is extremely chic, clean, modern, and has a quaint view of the backyard downstairs. We found the apartment so charming, we actually picked up groceries and ate in. We really wish we could have stayed longer!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - QUIET - GOOD LOCATION

Guest: Swank L. (CALIFORNIA - USA)
Date of Stay: 08/03/11 Review Submitted: 10/02/11

We had a wonderful time staying in this apartment and it is perfect for enjoying a visit to Paris. It was quite spacious and fully stocked with everything you might need for a pleasant stay (it even had several extra umbrellas which we needed on several days). It is very close to grocery markets, different types of eateries, and boulangeries so you can have fresh croissants every morning. Our favorite shop was the macaron store down the street at the corner. The apartment is also located about 15 minutes walking distance to the Eiffel Tower with easy access to the subway/RER system. The apartment and the courtyard it overlooked were also very quiet. Louis - MANAGER - WAS VERY HELPFUL DURING OUR STAY and we'd highly recommend staying in this accommodation or one of their others based on this experience.

APARTMENT WAS VERY MUCH AS ADVERTISED

Guest: Richard and Susan (New York - USA)
Date of Stay: 04/04/11 Review Submitted: 04/14/11

We enjoyed our visit to Paris very much, due in no small part to the comfort of the apartment. So much better than a hotel. Jardin Amelie was very much as advertised. Clean, quiet, comfortable and well-equipped, although this was also a vacation for Susan so we didn't make use of the cooking and laundry facilities. Boiling water for coffee was the extent of our cooking. It was nice to be able to have breakfast at "home" before going out for the day. Also, the open patio/garden space outside the apartment was so much more pleasant than looking out at another building across the street or next door. Although we had one-way tickets to the airport, we look forward to another visit one day in the not-too-distant future and will definitely be in touch with you again if and when that comes to pass. We appreciate your attention and good humor, helping to make our visit so pleasant. Best regards, Susan and Richard.

WOULD DEFINITELY CONSIDER RENTING THIS PROPERTY AGAIN

Guest: Miguel (Florida - USA)
Date of Stay: 03/18/11 Review Submitted: 04/03/11

My wife and I enjoyed staying at your apartment for 10 days and wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment is extremely well maintained and equipped with all the high-end amenities that you could imagine along with all the gadgets. It has a # 1 kitchen. We never needed something that was not provided. There is a beautiful inner garden view from the apartment. It has everything a person would need. It’s so centrally located. There are many places, attractions and restaurants to go not very far from there. Would definitely consider renting this property again on our next trip to Paris.

THANKS FOR MAKING EVERYTHING SO EASY FOR US

Guest: Yaphet (USA)
Date of Stay: 03/10/11 Review Submitted: 03/30/11

My wife, daughter, and I had a fantastic stay in Paris . Louis, thanks for making everything so easy for us, and thanks for making sure we had a computer and Internet access. (Though we didn’t use it for work! Only for maps, researching attractions, and fun.). The apartment looked inviting in the pictures, but seemed even larger once we got there, and the natural light made it extremely cheery. The location turned out to be perfect -- close to Metro and tourist attractions, but tucked away on a quiet street. We especially liked shopping at the market on Rue Cler. The kitchen and the rest of the apartment were well-stocked, so we had everything we needed. You were very responsive to all our questions, and both you and the building manager were extremely welcoming. We’d definitely stay there again.

A WARM AND LOVELY APARTMENT

Guest: Andy and Karen (Columbia, SC)
Date of Stay: 10/28/10 Review Submitted: 11/24/10

We rented this property for a week at the end of October. The location was perfect, near Rue Cler for shopping and central for accessing all of the wonderful neighborhoods. Beautiful court yard views from 2 sets of French windows in this light filled, wood floor apartment. The kitchen is state of the art, and cooking was a pleasure. Louis was very helpful on tips for our week, and made our transition to and from the apartment so easy and fun. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone.

Ideal Location, Great Apartment, Gracious Owner

Guest: Antonio (Mundelein, Illinois)
Date of Stay: 08/31/10 Review Submitted: 09/15/10

My husband and I recently visited Paris and feel very fortunate that we chose to stay at the .7th Palais Bourbon/Eiffel Tower holiday apartment (12 Rue Amelie). This apartment was contemporary in décor, spacious, comfortable and clean. It had a fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. We especially liked the shower with a rain showerhead. We also had the use of a phone. It is located on the second floor of a modern, quiet, building and overlooks a lovely garden. Within two blocks is Rue Cler, a market street, offering a variety of food stores, restaurants, etc We especially enjoyed stocking up on fresh fruit, sampling cheeses, and bringing in croissants for breakfast. Other restaurants within walking distance were exceptionally good. This location is in close proximity to most of what we wanted to see in Paris. It is an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, several major museums and many other attractions. To get around it was very easy to access the Metro, RER, bus 69. We were very pleased with Louis Blanchard the property manager. Louis is fluent in English, efficient, and responds promptly to any inquiry. When a strike occurred that would interfere with transportation Louis called and kept us informed. We followed his advice and had no problem catching our flight home. We would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Paris.

Very comfortable, great location, you won't be disappointed!

Guest: Ret (Colorado)
Date of Stay: 04/08/10 Review Submitted: 05/10/10

We are back in Colorado after a lovely trip to France. The apartment on Rue Amelie was wonderful and made our stay in Paris comfortable and enjoyable. Please feel free to use us as a reference on VRBO or any other venue. As I said the apartment was very comfortable. Rue Amelie was quiet at night and the neighborhood was excellent. Rue Cler, nearby, with its shops and market stalls was a great place to find an excellent bottle of wine, fresh bread or interesting cheeses. There was also a post office on Rue Cler which was helpful. The kitchen in the apartment was well equipped, though we did not use it for cooking any meals. Paris has too many fine restaurants! Perhaps next time if we stay longer we may do that. The wireless connection was easy to use and very reliable. The nearest subway station was easy to find only a few blocks away, though many things are within easy walking distance, including the Eiffel Tower, the Orsay, the Louvre, and the Palace of the Invalides. We loved the location and would recommend it to anyone wanting a friendly, pleasant stay in Paris! Thanks again, Louis! Our stay was too short but perhaps we will see you once again in Paris...

A Temporary Home in the 7th Arrondissement

Guest: Berkeley Singer (Richmond, California, USA)
Date of Stay: 12/18/09 Review Submitted: 04/12/10

When December 19, 2009 to January 4, 2010 Location We stayed in this very large studio apartment during the Christmas - New Year holiday while Paris was experiencing weather much colder than usual: most days featured minus degrees Celsius! We saw a lot of snow. It’s on the second floor (third floor American) of a small apartment building on rue Amelie in the 7th Arrondissement, only about two blocks from the La Tour Mauberg Metro station. It’s only a few blocks farther to the École Militaire Metro station. Part of that walk takes you the length of the pedestrian portion of the Rue Cler pedestrian market. Nearby Amenities The apartment is just a half block from the rue St. Domenique commercial district, which features an SFC cell phone shop and a SCNF (French railroad) office, as well as grocery stores, bakeries, cafés, and more. There’s a wonderful toy store at the other end of the block! There’s a post office on Rue Cler, near the École Militaire Metro station. And a Lenôtre very upscale deli for the ultimate in fast food! Only about four blocks to Pont des Invalides, you can walk about double that in the other direction and find yourself in Parc du Champ du Mars gazing at Tour Eiffel. The 69 bus line passes through the area on rue St. Domenique; it can take you through neighborhoods containing many of the museums and churches you’d likely visit in central Paris. The House/Apartment First of all, the photos on the website don’t do this apartment justice. This large studio apartment would be better described as a one bedroom apartment, but the small bedroom and shower/sink/washing machine areas are separated from the living area by only sliding doors. It felt like a one bedroom apartment to us, especially when one of us needed a nap or an early bedtime. The living area contains a very good couch (which can sleep one), a large coffee table we used for organizing our activities and using the laptop we brought with us. Or you could use the furnished notebook computer. High speed wireless Internet access and free phone service are included. There is also a firmly cushioned, tall, love seat sized couch, which was great for my back. There are two small elevators and a wide stairway from the ground floor on up. Garden Windows from the bedroom-living room area look out on an attractive, partially landscaped, mid-block garden area. Although other apartment windows are visible, it felt mostly private to me, even with opened curtains. We
