7 of us rented Top Shelf for a birthday/New Year's celebration. The location on the island is great, very central and you can walk to the settlement quite easily. We did rent golf carts and would recommend that for getting around. Walk down the steps to the Atlantic beach for swimming and snorkeling. We walked about 100 yds south and found a great spot, not far from Nipper's, and very good for swimming. We loved sitting in the 'Crow's Nest' for afternoon cocktails. The 360 view is unmatched (bring binoculars for boat watching). We loved the personal privacy of the 2 ensuites and the lower level rooms were great for the family of 3, with it's bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked and the wrap around deck is perfect. The house is well cared for and Terri was very friendly and helpful. Donna (the owner) is a pleasure to deal with and made great suggestions. Get the contact info for Forrest Pinder. He is an excellent chef who came to the house and made one of the best meals we have ever had, worthy of fine dining restaurants but prepared right in our own kitchen. Highly recommend!!!! Grabbers and Nipper's are great beach bars and Baker's Bay was very good for a meal and fairly reasonable. All in all-just what we were looking for!

I had been planning this trip for quite a while and it turned out to be all I wanted it to. The house will comfortably house 10 and entertain many more during gatherings all the while providing the creature comforts of home down to tempurpedic mattresses on the beds. The views are exquisite with the breezes and surf harmonizing in the backround 24/7. It will make you feel like kings and or queens of an island. It is a two minute walk to one of the most majestic beaches I have ever seen (and I am of Bahamian origin) with the water still warm and lovely well into October. This recent trip was for the adults but I certainly plan to be back with the kids next year and watch them also grin from ear to ear when they get there. I highly reccomend.

What an amazing house and such a magical island! The house is elegantly simple, and its crown jewel is the 360 degree view from the crow's nest. The view is made even more spectacular by constant, cooling breezes. The power from BEC is spotty (which is true throughout Abaco), so the elevation of this house made even a night without power a special treat because the breeze cooled us all night. It was such a pleasure to hear the ocean and drink in the Milky Way while lounging on the porch and in the crow's nest. Great home caretaker took great care of us, as did all the wonderful island residents. What can I say? EVERY nook and cranny of this of this island is comfortable, fun, easy and inviting. Rent a golf cart, explore and enjoy! Dive, snorkel or fish. On Guana, it's all good. Life doesn't get any better than this.

What an awesome stay at Topshelf. My first time in Guana Cay was filled with fun memories and new friends. Everyone on the island was very friendly and gracious. Topshelf was Topshelf! A fabulously decorated home away from home. There was nothing to want for. It offered all the ammenities of home. A great time was spent in the crow's nest with the girls. Can't wait to hopefully return again in the near future! Thank you Donna.

Just wanted to thank you for an awesome vacation. Your cottage was so comfortable and we loved the bottom floor for the kids to enjoy and the top floor for the adults to enjoy. We had many happy hours in your crows nest. Look forward to renting next year, same time same place.

I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful week at your house. I have never witnessed such beautiful views in my life. Your house sits on top of the world with views as far as the eye can see. Loved your comfy living space and your great beach chairs and beach toys. We caught lots of fish with your fishing poles and cooked them up for dinner. We can't wait to get back to your little slice of paradise. The people on the island are so nice, I felt like I've known them forever.

What a beautiful house. It was our first time visiting Great Guana, and we fell in love with both Island and house. The house is comfortable and inviting. Everything is brand new, and it doesn't appear any expenses were spared. We especially enjoyed the crow's nest, which had amazing views of the near private beach where we had spent the day. Would highly recommend this house to anyone wishing to visit Great Guana and stay in a modern, comfortable house.
