My friends and I stayed at the French Quarter House 3/2-3/4 for my bachelorette party. There were about 9 of us and we were all obsessed with the house. We enjoyed every room including the courtyard, master bedroom, guest house and especially the big comfy couch! The location is on a quiet street but literally one block from the action. We will definitely be back!

Seven women in my family had a "girls" reunion in New Orleans. The house works like a charm for a group of women (or a large family). Plenty of room to spread out. Well furnished with a very workable kitchen. The location is perfect for women - safe, convenient to everything in the French Quarter. Kathleen, the resident manager, is a delight to work with. She can handle all your needs, questions and more. My group hopes to return again next year. We had a perfect time.

As a long-time VRBO user and who has booked many properties through this site, this property did not live up to expectations. We stayed here in January with my family of 4 adults and 3 kids. This is not a luxury property. You should expect more for the price. It is out-dated and poorly maintained There are no pictures of the bathrooms posted on this site because the bathrooms are very old. The master bedroom on the top floor is an attic and you can't stand up straight because it slants. The master shower and bathtub were old and moldy. The living room carpets were stained. The additional apartment is quite unattractive - it's narrow and just 2 beds facing big empty fireplaces. The kitchen is out-dated with old sticky drawers and not recently cleaned - I opened one cabinet door to look for cooking oil and literally a bit plume of dust fell on me. Perhaps the worst is that the owner deducted damage deposit for "extra house-cleaning" and for "ruined" towels. The positives of this house is that - it is close to everything in the French Quarter and the beds were very comfortable.
Owner response:We respectfully disagree with most of the charges claimed by this guest, with three notable exceptions. The house is in a good location, the beds are comfortable, and we did not return part of her security deposit. We take a security deposit from each guest for one reason: in the unlikely and unfortunate event that the property is damaged and we must make replacements or repairs. The un-returned part of this guest's deposit was used to replace items damaged during her stay and to cover overtime for cleaning. We budget 8 hours for cleaning after each guest, and in this case additional time was required. This experience is highly unusual. Our guests typically have a wonderful stay in New Orleans, find the features of the house and its appointments luxurious, and the 9 foot ceilings in the master bedroom acceptable. Rarely have we had to withhold any part of a security deposit as our guests are nearly universal in their respect and care for the property.

We stayed at this AWESOME house to celebrate my 40th birthday and New Years Eve in New Orleans. Location: PERFECT!!! Walking distance to French Quarter, Saints Dome Stadium, Cable Cars, Waterfront, Jackson Square, restaurants and everything else. Accommodations: INCREDIBLE!!! The house is beautiful and very comfortable. There were only six of us in our group so we all had plenty of space. Kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals, the courtyard is a great place to relax outside and the beds were soooo comfortable. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The listing description and photos don't do it justice. Property Manager: GREAT!! Answered all our questions before hand and was kind enough to make arrangements for us to drop our bags early and leave them late. She resides on the property and is available if needed but didn't impose on us at all. Very, very nice young lady. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in New Orleans. Five Stars!!

This place is perfect for a group of friends or family. Everyone had plenty of room and plenty of bathrooms to share. The entertainment room really came in handy. Our whole gang of ten had plenty of room to sit comfortably and watch the LSA/Bama game. The location could not be beat, only two short blocks from Bourbon St and Pat O's. We love the piano bar. Kathleen was great, only saw her when we checked in but she was available cell phone/text/email and always responded promptly with any questions we had. I hope we have another opportunity again in the future to rent this great house.

We had an excellent time at the house! The grounds are beautiful and slept 10 more than comfortably. The location is amazing! Very close to all the action of Bourbon street but also far enough removed that it was quiet and relaxing. I can't recommend this house enough!!

Just spent a week at this fabulous FG house. It was pertect. House with courtyard and guest house. Kitchen had all the cooking and eating utentils needed plus many spices, etc. We utilized the outside grill and had a super meal. It was large enough for us to spread out. Very clean and maintained. So close to the FQ and the trolly. We alked almost every where or took a cab to in dinner places in the east Garden District. Cabs are pretty cheap for 7 people. We never moved our car for the entire week. I highly recommend the house.

I cannot say enough about this property. It is beautiful. The location is perfect - in the French Quarter but on a quiet street. Kathleen is wonderful. She answered all of my questions, via email, before we arrived, made fabulous suggestions and is the perfect host! We are a family of 10 and the house accomodated us perfectly. We celebrated our 35th anniversary there and held a small ceremony in the house. Kathleen's suggestions for flowers, etc. were spot on. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!

This house in the French Quarter was, obviously, in a great location. The house was amazing and had all the amenities we were looking for. Slept plenty of people and had a glorious courtyard.

My family rented the house as part of a Family Reunion. We have to say with all the rentals we have done over the years this one was by far the very best. Close to everything. Wonderful courtyard, plenty of room. Loved everyhing about the house. Would love more history on the home. Kathleen was great, she really made us feel welcome. Would rent again. Thank you for a great week.

Seven of us stayed here in early Feb for a reunion. The location is perfect - central to grocery stores, liquor stores, restaurants, the waterfront, the Wharehouse District (restaurants) & the Faubourg Marigny (music clubs). You do have to cross over Bourbon street often which may or may not be a good thing. The house is very close to Bourbon, but far enough not to hear any of the racket. The courtyard is great for hanging out & the BBQ works fine. I wish we had more than 2 keys, but other than that, everything was provided. The place was very clean, and abundant towels were provided. Kathleen is very knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn't stay there with 10 adults, but the common area accomodations are extremely roomy (huge dining room / living room / and a den with large flat screen tv). Children could easily double up in the 3 full size beds (cozy for adult couples). There is also one King, and a pull-out couch (I think Queen). I would definitely stay here again.

Rented the house for a ladies weekend getaway & birthday bash (we are 30-something and 40-something professionals working in finance and other fields). The house and courtyard are beautiful! There were 8 of us sleeping at the house and we had more than enough space. The beds were especially comfortable and the house is on a great residential block that is quiet and safe! The house was clean, all linens and towels were provided, the kitchen is stocked with pots/pans/cutlery/etc. In terms of logistics, the house manager was so helpful! She coordinated our check-in and check-out easily, picked up groceries for us, and made sure everything we needed was available. The location is PERFECT! So many conveniences...Bourbon street 2 blocks away, Jackson square 4 blocks away, a cute gourmet market 3 blocks away, tons of restaurants everywhere, lots of live music during the day on Royal Street and Jackson square, everything was so convenient! We spent a few days walking around, and 1 day we opened all the doors to the street and enjoyed the neighborhood, said hello to folks passing by, and experienced life "like a local" in the french quarter. What a New Orleans experience! I will definitely come back again (hopefully if this house isn't booked...once word gets out I'm sure it'll be tough to get on the calendar)! All the girls felt the same too! And to the owners and house manager....thank you!!!! We had a BLAST!

We had a fantastic time during our Halloween 2009 weekend. The location is absolutely perfect - right in the French Quarter but not on a noisy street. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. It combines lots of character with modern amenities. The courtyard is great for a party or just for a meal outside. And the owners were very responsive to our needs. We highly recommend it.

This house far exceeded my expectations. It has beautiful hard wood floors, high ceilings, a dining room and kitchen that open to a lovely patio area, and it sleeps nine or ten comfortably. The location cant be beat as it is literally two blocks off of bourbon street. I really cant say enough positive things---there is no better place to stay in New Orleans.
