Your future SF home base is located steps away from one of the great retail corridors known as Polk Street. Within 4 blocks of the front door you'll find many unique boutiques, 20 (or more) restaurants, French cafes, exciting bars, furniture stores, a candy shop, a Laundromat, dry cleaners, organic grocery store (The Real Food Co), Starbucks & other local coffee shops, and a great playground. Trader Joe's and Safeway are also within walking distance. (Check link below for map of location). We are 15 miles from SFO ($45 limo ride) and 22 miles from OAK.

    • Our family of 5 stayed for four days in late August. The location of this property was perfect! We used public transportation exclusively (muni and cable cars). The flat is beautifully decorated and CLEAN. We grilled out one evening in the courtyard...nice added space. We also appreciated the immediate accessibility (less than 2 blocks) to a grocery, drug store and restaurants. This is a great space...we would definitely return here.

    • This is a sweetheart of an apartment, and I recommend it whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or for a family visit to San Francisco. My husband and I and our sons (13 and 18) felt at home as soon as we walked into the lovely, bright suite. It was better than home, actually, as our home isn't nearly as tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with everything that we needed, and the owners were warm and hospitable. Within a block of our door, we found a natural foods store that carried everything we needed for meals, a variety of cafes, restaurants and a bookstore. We walked to Lombard Street, Coit Tower, Chinatown, Nob Hill, North Beach and the waterfront. The suite is extremely well situated in terms of transit, as we never waited more than a couple of minutes for a bus, even at night. We had considered staying at a hotel but are so glad that we chose to stay here instead, not only because the apartment is much nicer than a hotel room, but also because we felt we were in a real neighbourhood, not a tourist attraction. By the time we left, we already knew some of the neighbours and people who worked in the shops. We would go back in a heartbeat.

    • Myself and 3 friends stayed at this wonderful place mid December and it could not have been better. The owners were wonderful, easy to work with, as well as neighbor Mike and cousin Vanessa all were helpful for 4 middleage women out to have a great time. The location was perfect and the neighboring stores and restuarants were perfect. Easy to access the bus system as well as taxi service so accessable. The apartment itself was so beautifully decorated and current with decor, wish we could have stayed longer. The local stores were fantastic. Highly recommed the Segway tour as well as LOVED Teatro Zizzanni for anyone looking for reccomendations on what to do. Defintely looking forward to coming back. Owners very nice, wish we had more time to ecjoy the back patio and BBQ area.

    • This apartment is in a great location, lots of restaurants and shops literally around the corner. You could walk to many attractions, but since we were traveling with young children we found the 2 block walk to the Cable Car Line very convenient. This Cable Car Line takes you Downtown or to Fisherman's Wharf depending on which way you go.

    • We really enjoyed staying at this house. It is beautifully furnished, comfortable (the beds were super!), and has all the basic necessities. It is also in an awesome location; right off Polk street and easy walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown and Market St. The owner's were friendly and welcoming and we would definitely stay here again.

    • I stayed here for a long weekend and was completely satisfied. The flat is new condition and has nearly everything you would need for your stay. The interior is roomy and the courtyard offers a nice private escape to the outdoors. It is just a few steps from what I found to be a great little "downtown" area with great restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. It is only a ten minute walk to Fort Mason on the water and only a twety five minute walk or seven dollar cab ride to downtown. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family.

    • We spent a long weekend in this lovely apartment. It is a roomy, attractive, well appointed place. The beds are super comfortable and we had a small cocktail party in the living room. This listing is in an incredible neighborhood, just steps away from Polk street, where there are hip shops, restaurants and even a local food co-op. The proprietors are wonderful, live upstairs and were very helpful.
