My husband and I, and our 6 yr old twins, stayed at this beautiful home for a week in April 2012. We loved the home and location so much; we are already talking about our next trip later this year. The home was sparkling clean, as was the pool and spa, and was located in a nice new community in Desert hot springs. It was appointed with everything you could think of, very spacious and beautifully decorated. We spent two mornings hiking at the nearby Joshua Tree national park (a must!) and also took advantage of the great park on the street. The owners were responsive to our needs, and helped make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Thank You!

We had a really nice time during our stay here. The house is clean and well kept and the space was perfect for our family. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and and my grandmother, and the house was perfect in accommodating everyone's needs. It is a quick drive into downtown Palm Springs or to Joshua Tree (which you must go see...it's so beautiful!). The owners are really nice, and so easy to work with. The pool area is great and they include 4 hours of pool heating per day at no extra cost. Many of the other homes we looked at charged for heating in addition to the rental cost. Overall, the house is a great bargain. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is really windy in Desert Hot Springs, which can make it pretty chilly outside in the mornings and evenings. But when you are sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine, you don't mind so much :)
Owner response:I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We try and make things as easy as possible for guests to make themselves at home, by leaving coffee and tea, and stocking the fridge with cold beverages, as well as keeping the bathrooms furnished with toiletries. Our home is very child friendly for families traveling with kids. I'm sorry the wind was a bit bothersome during your stay; this only happens occasionally. Mostly, Desert Hot Springs has gorgeous weather, and 350 sunny days a year. Please consider us again next time your visiting the desert, we love great guests like yourselves to return. Kerrie and Ren.

My family spent a week at this house in September and we love everything about it! The host was very flexible and accommodating. The house was very clean, refrigerator stocked with some beverages, and best of all we had a pool and spa to ourselves. We felt like this was our second home. We had breakfast in the patio while the kids played and splashed around in the pool. Evenings are stunning with the nice warm weather and backdrop of the sunset. We also enjoyed the open skies at night viewing the stars from the pool and spa. The neighborhood was very friendly and quiet. At the end of the street, there's a bike/skateboard park and basketball courts. The house was conveniently located to everything we wanted to visit - Joshua Tree, Outlet stores, golf courses, Discovery Museum, great restaurants in and around Palm Springs, movies, and a lot more. I would highly recommend this home.

The owner of this property will maximize your comfort at this home. She accommodated a late arrival (by a couple days!) due to a sick baby. She was flexible with check-in and check-out times. She stocked the refrigerator with all kinds of goodies for us, including bottled water, beer and wine. The neighborhood is working-class and quiet. It is an easy 20 minutes to the heart of Palm Springs. The property itself is kept immaculately clean. There is plenty of everything: bedding, towels, utensils, etc. There were games and toys that were enjoyed by our 1-year-old and our 4-year-old (but there was even more for older kids- if you've got 'em). The pool was delightful and very well-maintained. (Pool cleaners came twice during our week-long stay.) In sum, the price was quite reasonable, the property was great for families, it is so well-maintained, and the owner is as delightful as can be. I highly recommend this property.

How could I forget to mention the pool and spa?? It was amazing to walk out every morning to take a swim in our own private pool without anyone else in our space and then heat the spa up for an evening under the stars with peace and quiet. Soo many dreams came true on this holiday. Fantastic!

Kerrie and her home exceeded my expectations in every manner! I had originally planned to stay in a hotel for my visit to Desert Hot Springs, but was concerned about the noise level and privacy. We made an excellent choice to bypass the hotel and stay here. It was quiet, private, clean, comfortable and had everything needed and more. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, kitchen was great, DVD collection was extensive and the location was ideal. I took day trips to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree with ease. The house stayed a comfortable temperature regardless of it being 115 degrees outside one day. The showers were great and comfy couches to nap on in front of the TV. It felt like being in my own home. I recommend this home to anyone staying in the area. Here directions, info and help were an added bonus. Enjoy!

The house is very comfortable, extremely clean and upmarket. The swim pool and hot tub are beautiful, with lots of seating and space to hangout outdoors. The large kitchen is well stocked and outfitted and we were able to cook for 10 people quite easily, and the living and dining room is spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet with a great park on the street, which the whole family liked. You can view the stars from the patio, pool and hot tub which we enjoyed while using the outdoor fire pit. We had a great vacation! The house's location is quite close to the Cabazon Factory Outlet Stores which we actually visited twice during our weeks stay! By the way, the house is close to Joshua Tree Park and we loved hiking there. Kerri was friendly and accomodating from our first contact to the end of our stay. We highly recommend this home.

Two of us stayed at Kerrie's home in Desert Hot Springs Feb 17-19 and had a great time. The house was clean, spacious and well stocked with just about anything you could want - even down to shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste. Kerrie, the owner, was very easy to work with and VERY accommodating of our needs. Make sure you eat at Kaiser's in downtown Palm Springs! We would recommend this house and the area without hesitation.
Owner response:I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in our home. I try to be as accomadating as possible, and provide personalised service, so that each and every guest has a wonderful stay. Thanks for being such gracious guests and please consider us again next time you're traveling to the desert area.

This house is a perfect vacation retreat in the desert. It's truly a home away from home. We had everything we needed - board games, DVDs, cable, Xbox, and best of all a pool and spa! The house is very open and feels very spacious. Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indio, and Joshua Tree are within minutes to the house. There are great restaurants and plenty of things to do. If you like to shop, there's a Premium Outlet in Cabazon about 20 minutes from the house. There are 2 golf courses in DHS. We would definitely come back and rent this house again in the future.

We just returned from our family vacation in D.H.S. Thanks for a great stay! The home was more spacious than the pictures showed and is perfect for a family with young kids. We found the location central to all the attractions we wanted - between Joshua Tree National Park, shopping at the outlets, the Living Desert Zoo, Indian Canyons, and the other desert cities. Palm Springs is a 10 min drive away. D.H.S. is a small town feel and there are some great restaurants in town once you look - we fell in love with Thai Palms Restaurant. Our two boys (5/7) appreciated the superior BMX/skate park just down the road, the XBox 360, games table, and huge movie selection. We appreciated the extra games/puzzle and especially the "Insider's Guide to Palm Spring Area" Book. The pool and spa were clean and very well maintained and we enjoyed our quiet evenings watching the stars from the hot tub, watching a flick or playing games. We also appreciated the little extra pool toys - ball, goggles, water weenies. The owner was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. There were some extra amenities provided to make the home/kitchen feel more established during our stay.

Lovely, comfortable family home. Terriffic place for family vacation....game table, books, videos, video games, board games, heated pool and spa, very close to skate park. Located a little more than 10 miles from airport...there is plenty to do....or you could just kick back and relax. Close to Joshua Tree National Park, great restaurants, casinos, shopping, high-end outlet mall (Prada, Versace, Coldwater Creek, etc.) golf courses and more. I was able to make a great holiday dinner with no problem in their full kitchen. The owners were very helpful and supplied very understandable directions for heating the pool, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to rent again.

Kerrie thank you for sharing your home with us. I have rented previously with Vrbo but never had the complete package that you supplied. We did not have to run out and get salt pepper coffee or any of the other things that are a pain to buy for a short stay. There was even a few beer in the fridge which I replaced for the next guest. Thanks again Brian&Ouida. Nov. 13 to Nov. 20th 2010

We recently stayed here in Desert Hot Springs and found the house to be exactly as we hoped. It was clean and had all the amenities we required. The Xbox was excellent for keeping the kids entertained when they awoke at 7.00am! We chose DHS as the rental is cheaper than Palm Springs itself but within 10-15 mins you could be in Palm Springs. The I10 is also just a short drive. Easy drive to Disneyland and probably Laguna Beach which we'd had visited if the weather was better on the coast. The owner,Kerrie,is a pleasure to deal with answering emails and text messages promptly. Thanks for everything.
Owner response:Thanks for the great feedback, and for being such excellent guests. I know how important it is to keep the children entertained, so I'm glad the house worked out well for you and your family, I love to give return guests a discount, so please consider us for next time.

This property was extremely well kept and exactly as pictured- in fact it felt much more airy and spacious than the pictures indicate. There are a ton of activities for kids with the swimming pool, spa, basketball hoop, foosball table and the XBox not to mention the 30,000 movies (Okay that was an exaggeration). This is the perfect place to entertain kids and adults alike- there is plenty of outdoor seating as well as a dining table outside - It is very nice to eat dinner poolside in the evenings! The street is one of the very nicest in Desert Hot Springs too- all of the houses are very well kept and pretty new. There are lots of kids that live around there that play basketball or baseball or hockey right on the street so it lends a very homey atmosphere to the neighbourhood.I was very comfortable there and would recommend this vacation home to anyone. Kerrie was also extremely accommodating and helpful in every way and although I never saw her, she was an excellent host.

Our family stayed here for a week in spring. Kerrie was very accommodating with check-in/out time and helped make our stay very enjoyable. The home was great for our kids; they liked the pool/spa, as week as the xbox and airhockey game table. My wife and I enjoyed the movies and magazines, but especially liked relaxing on the patio. We'll be back next year. The O'Neill family.
Owner response:Thanks for the great review. We were happy to accommodate you and your family, and look forward to seeing you again.

We had an excellent time in Desert Hot Springs. The neighborhood was quiet. The house was well equipped and spacious. The pool surrounded by patio was what we were looking for...a place to lounge all day, and eat our meals outside. This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking to get away to a peaceful environment and just stay put. The market is near by. Other activities and restaurants are about 30 minutes away in Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs which was preferable to us as we did not want to be in the commotion of all the other spring break vactioners. Once we bought our groceries, there was never a need to leave the house if you just want to relax. I had a disabled child with me and the set up of the house made his stay very comfortable and allowed him to be easily mobile. The family you rent from is friendly and very accomodating, and the house is in great condition.
Owner response:We are so happy that you enjoyed our home, and your vacation in Desert Hot Springs. Our hope is to be as accommodating and helpful as we can be, with anything from flexible arrival/departure times to providing extra towels/bedding. Just ask us and we'll do our best, in order to help you have the best vacation possible......Kerrie, DHS Homeowner.

My family's stay was a wonderful experience as a getaway for the holidays. The owner provided many small details such as a step stool in the bathroom, toothpaste and other incidentals, and flexible check in and out times. The pictures on the website did not do justice to the rental property, and the quality of the furnishings and amenities was outstanding. It is especially challenging to travel with small children, but the owners made it seem easy. We especially enjoyed the literature on local attractions and the additional videos and DVDs in all bedrooms. The owners were prompt in all correspondence and payment. We have stayed in many VRBOs, and this was one of the best properties yet. Thanks again for saving me from cooking turkey! Gonzalez and McKinley Families

A very relaxing home in a friendly neighborhood, beautifully maintained. We stayed for two weeks and wished for more. As the weather was very hot for my (Canadian) blood we were grateful for the reliable AC, and the pool was clean and refreshing. I would highly recommend this home rental for a family stay. Shopping and restaurants are nearby, and the atmosphere is incredible!
