  We stayed in B-103 for a week in August and could not have been happier. The photos on the website were good but the condo is even more beautiful than we expected. It is very tastefully decorated, well maintained and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and we had many meals on the lanai where we had a great ocean view. It is right on the ocean and just a few steps away from the beach where we had a great time swimming and snorkeling. We also took advantage of the pool which is conveniently close. It is well maintained and cared for. Makena Surf Resort is private and secluded and we loved the location. There are two beaches that adjoin it and the grounds are gorgeous. It's close to shopping, golf, restaurants and some of Maui's best beaches. The woman who manages B-103 was lovely and very helpful. I definitely recommend this condo. We wish we could have stayed longer!

  We were thrilled when we opened the front door and looked right out at the ocean. The decor for this unit was perfect for us - it was casual, Hawaiian/Asian, roomy, and very clean. Beds were comfortable and the appliances were top notch. And what a location. The view and proximity to the beach are just like the pictures promised. Our 10-year old twin girls were out digging in the sand before 6:30 most mornings. We could see them clearly from our patio. Snorkeling at this beach was terrific. The sea turtles were not too far from shore. When we were boogie boarding, sea turtles were right next to us. Wow. We brought our tennis rackets and played on the property's very nice tennis courts - surrounded by palm trees. The pool was clean and refreshing and right outside our front door (no noise from the pool....the sound of the ocean drowns everything else out). The unit comes with a great sound system (we had Hawaiian music running through the television the entire week). A connection must be loose because one of the speakers crackles quite a bit. We also enjoyed surfing lessons for the kids in nearby Kihei and dinner on the patio at Tommy Bahamas in Wailiea. And the spa at the Grand Wailea is truly amazing. We enjoyed our trip and would most definitely rent this unit again! And thank you to the property manager for our nice gift basket.

  We wanted to let you know we were very pleased with the unit we stayed at in Makena Surf. The condo, view, patio, beach, pool ....were all fabulous. I have to say - we loved it so much we hardly left!

The doors open into the wall leaving you with a feeling of being outdoors even when inside. It is fully equipped with everything you need for making it a home away from home. The spacious lanai is a wonderful place to relax with your favorite tropical drink, listen to the relaxing waves and watch the many beautiful sunsets. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is also only steps away from the front door of the condo. If you play tennis or golf this is the perfect setting. The complex is only two miles to the Shops of Wailea and several great restaurants.

  We've been travelling to Maui one or two times a year for a dozen years and this was our first visit to Makena Surf. The property is outstanding, beautifully maintained and is located on a gorgeous quiet stretch of beach. In testament to the beauty and quiet of the location, we saw a half dozen beach sunset wedding ceremonies over our few weeks stay. The property is a short drive to the Wailea strip of hotels...close enough to be very convenient (about a mile) but far enough to be away from the busy. I think this is why Makena deserves its premium. This ground floor unit is in the best located building of the complex...very nice and quiet swimming pool/hot tub out the front door of the unit, beach out back. Whether for morning coffee or sunset cocktails, there is nothing like sitting back on the lanai with the sights and sounds of sand and surf. We were there during whale season and the daily shows were spectacular. The unit itself provides all this great view with wall to wall, floor to ceiling glass doors...having the unit wide open with the screen doors closed is especially a treat, making the breeze and breaking waves part of indoor living. All the creature comforts are here...kitchen well equipped, bathrooms and bedrooms very comfortable, and the living room spread perfect for our family evening in front of the tv. Not only would return, we've booked for Christmas again!

  Owner response: It is great to hear from our guest. This guest just about says it all. The location and beauty of Makena Surf is just about as perfect as it gets. The beach, pool and tennis courts are only steps away from this beautiful condo. The beaches are located next to a reef that is a great place to snorkel, dive, see the green sea turtles and various tropical fish. The lanai is a great place to relax and hear the sounds of the surf and watch many beautiful sunsets. We have a gas grill for your convenience. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and spacious. It has everything you would have in your home. A great place to relax and enjoy a wonderful vacation on Maui. There are golf courses, shopping and restaurants within a mile of Makena Surf but you would never know as this complex is secluded and quiet and surrounded with the many tropical plants known in Hawaii.
