"Driftwood" has superb views over one of the three lakes in the tranquil gated community of Beachwalk Isles. With restaurants and a quality supermarket within walking distance, Fort Myers Beach five minutes away, and the tropical island paradise of Sanibel an easy ten-minute drive, "Driftwood" is ideally located.
The spacious, stylishly furnished, air-conditioned home has all the facilities you would expect of an exclusive location, including a screened, heated, and flood-lit pool, cable TV, stereo, DVD, and VCR. If you ever tire of the pool or beaches, there are 50 golf courses in the area, shopping to suit all tastes and pockets, and several world-class nature preserves.
Among "Driftwood's" many features is a 28-foot by 14-foot, solar-heated, south-facing pool, fully-equipped sun deck overlooking the pool and lake, master bedroom with spacious en suite bathroom, large walk-in closet, and TV/VCR, marble tops in bathrooms, good-sized second and third bedrooms (one queen, one twin) with shared bathroom, breakfast nook with seating for four, formal dining area with seating for six, ceiling fans in all rooms, light, airy, and stylishly furnished throughout, and with infant's cot available if booked in advance.
For larger parties, we have an arrangement with a nearby homeowner and the two homes can sometimes be booked simultaneously.
The Fort Myers area really does have something for everyone. The sugar-sand beaches are among the best in the world, ranging from lively to romantic, with an abundance of shells, wildlife, and dolphin watching. With 50 golf courses in the area, boat, kayak, or cycle hire, a vast array of fine and casual dining, shopping ranging from outlet malls to flea markets to exclusive one-of-a-kind boutique stores, stunning nature preserves, and a choice of sporting and performance venues, Fort Myers is sure to provide a memorable vacation for the whole family.
The city's wide boulevards make driving a pleasure and with the I-75 close to hand, nowhere in southwest Florida is out of reach. Fort Myers Airport (RSW) is 15 minutes away and the international airports at Tampa and Miami are only a little over two hours away. North Naples is 30 minutes from "Driftwood" and there are daily boat trips from Fort Myers to several destinations including Key West.

We love Driftwood! We must, we go back every year! The villa is clean, spacious & very well maintained. The owner & management company are always available to answer questions & help you make the most of your vacation. We really enjoy relaxing by the pool & watching the osprey over the lake. If feeling energetic we head down to Billy's Rentals on Sanibel and hire bikes for the morning. Cycling around the island is a wonderful way to chill out. A sunset stroll along the beach at Lighthouse Point is the place to go dolphin spotting, and we have been luck enough to see manatees in the island's waterways whilst cycling. There are so many lovely, quiet beaches to chose from, aswell as Sanibel & Captiva we like to go along to Lover's Key State Park. A pleasant afternoon can also be spent following the Wildlife trail on Sanibel/Captiva. Shopping in the area is fantastic! We head for the Mirimar, Bell Towers & Tangers outlet centres for bargains. The art & craft shops on the islands are lovely to wander around too. For everyday needs there are Target & Publix supermarkets (with a Pizza Hut & Starbucks take away!) only minutes from the villa, or there's a huge Walmart about 6 miles away. The selection of restaurants seems never ending, if like us you are looking for family friendly we recomment Outback & Olive Garden, both opposite Bell Towers Outlet Shopping centre about 10-15 minutes drive away. There is also a cinema complex here for those occassional rainy evenings. Biscotti's ice cream bar is within walking distance & do fabulous frappaccinos. They also have free wi-fi so you can keep in touch with those at home. We often have a game of miniature golf at either Pirate's Cove or Jungle golf which are again close by. We so look forward to our time at Driftwood every year. It's tranquil and all together the perfect antidote to the hectic theme parks of Orlando & the stress of everyday life. Can't wait to back again in september!

wonderful home ----everything you need to relax....close to beaches, restaurants, ocean shopping whatever you want to do. this is our 3rd year and will come again. The layout of the home is just perfect for two or a small family....you will love it!!!!
