This two bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of four for a week. The unit was extremely well equipped including a washer. The location in the hills above Marbella was great. The view was fabulous as depicted in the photos and the apartment always had a nice breeze if you sat out on the large deck. In fact we ate on the deck most nights. The location provided easy access to Granada, Gibraltar, Ronda and the other hill towns and was a 2 1/2 hour drive from Seville. The apartment complex contains several small swimming pools, a 9 hole golf course, a gym and pub with good food so if you want you can simply hang out. You are 15 minutes by car from the beach The owner was very helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend this suite to anyone wanting to explore the area from a quiet restful location

El Soto de Merbella

Great Vacation

Our first visit to Spain and it was wonderful. The apartment has everything you need and is very modern and clean. The weather was perfect and the views unforgettable. Elviria is a great location for exploring Andalucia. Recommend visiting Granada (Alhambra - buy tickets in advance) and Ronda and Mijas -Pueblo exit. Lots of great beaches in the area and for your shopping therapy go to La Canada Mall in Marbella or to the local outdoor markets.

Hello Carole, Just wanted to say thank you for letting us stay at El Soto, it was a beautiful location with fantastic views. The apartment was really nicely furnished and very comfortable and we were amazed on how well equipped the kitchen was. The children enjoyed the pools and golf and we managed to get some relaxation too. We were sad to come home but at least we have a tan to show for it!

Carol the apartment was gorgeous and very well appointed , I enjoyed being able to open [electric] blinds from the bed.The guest directory was very helpful in our daily dining choices. Absolutely gorgeous!

We were luckly enough to rent for the week of Sept 18 to 25, 2010. This apartment is in a beautiful complex in the hills above Marbella. Amazing view from the spacious balcony. .The apartment is quite spacious, was immaculately clean, modern, and had all the necessities for comfortable living. The kitchen had every appliance and cooking utensil you need, although we ate dinners out. (Plenty of good restaurants down in the city.) You do need a car, but it is only a 15 minute drive to the beautiful beaches. We went to 3 of them. We spent a day in the city of Ronda, which is a must to see. We played 3 rounds of golf on the 9-hole golf course in the complex which is free, just a small fee to rent clubs. The 3 pools were still open with fairly comfortable water temperature. The weather was perfect that week, sunny and in the mid 70's. Most people in the area spoke fluent English, which was great. Jennie, the real estate agent, was exceptionally pleasant and charming. This complex is very .quiet and tranquil, wonderful. We've rented many places in the past using the VRBO site, and this was one of the nicest and most reasonable in price. And very easy communication with Carole, the owner. We are from the United States, and Southern Spain is a beautiful area and I would highly recommend seeing it. Margie

An enjoyable and very comfortable 2 weeks spent in your Marbella apartment. A very well equipped apartment set in lovely surroundings with stunning sea and mountain views. The apartment had every conceivable convenience, internally and externally. The complex also had many things to offer our kids, they never got bored. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to family and friends.

I find this place so quiet, with all installations more than you need necessary. good decorating and clean a good welcome and friendly meeting.

Can't Wait to Return

This apartment was beautiful. I don't have the words to describe it. The serenity was amazing. The pictures do not serve the home any justice. It's spacious, beautifully decorated and well accommodating (linens, kitchen wares, appliances, etc.). There were even brochures and guides to show me around. It is a little ways away from the beach (about a 15 minute drive down the hill), but well worth the drive up the hill. Plus, there is a little bar/restaurant about five minutes away in a neighboring community. A rental car is recommended, but if you have to take a taxi, make sure you tell them phase 2! Trust me :) And I cannot say enough about the property owner and the property manager. Both were incredibly understanding, patient and accommodating for my "special" situation. I appreciate you both. The property manager even checked up on me after my medical procedure. While you're there, take a ferry to Morocco or simply walk around the "older" part of Elviria down the hill. It is gorgeous and the people are very nice. There are plenty of restaurants around. I needed more time to eat at them all! For the more daring, "la zona nudismo" (nudist beach) is about 5 minutes up the highway although all beaches are top optional (as long as you don't create a stir). El Centro Marbella is like downtown San Francisco; lots of shops and little things to see and do. And it's very safe. I'm a female who was traveling alone and never felt like I was in any danger. I plan on making this area my permanent vacation area and retirement home (when the time comes). I was very sad when I had to leave, but my gentleman partner said we can come back whenever I wanted! YAY!

We stayed at the apartment for 3 weeks in September 09. We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is beautiful and fully equiped. The scenery is spectacular, and the complex has a lot to offer. We enjoyed dining at the Golf Club! We were sad to leave and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Jane and Jennie were helpful. We also felt very secure and enjoyed the underground parking. It is quiet and peaceful, but not far from the action. There are a lot of wonderful places to visit. Thanks!!

The apartment is not only beautiful on the inside, but there are breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea. It's certainly worth the trek up the mountain for a memorable and peaceful stay. The kitchen is beautiful as well as the bathrooms. I'd definitely go back!

We fully enjoyed our time in El Soto, so much so that we didn't want to leave and but for the problems of changing flight and car rental we would seriously have asked for an extension of our rental. I did intend to send you an e-mail to thank you for letting us your fantastic apartment. With the help of Jane and Shuj we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and anticipate requesting another stay at some time. I think that in Jane you have an ideal agent who was mindful of our every need and problem and dealt with these as fast as anyone could have. Once again, thank you. Trish & Alan
