This lovely spacious year round home called "Reed's Retreat" is located in the heart of NY Wine country and is 3 miles from the NY Wine & Culinary Center. This property is about 1 mile from the CMAC performing arts center, so there is no lack of good entertainment in the summer.
The house is very spacious with 4 bedrooms (3 upstairs, one on the first floor). The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and one of the upstairs bedrooms has a queen bed. One of the other upstairs rooms has two twin beds, and the other one has bunk beds.
The downstairs living quarters consist of a great room with large picture window overlooking beautiful Canandaigua Lake. There is a gas fireplace in the great room and a fully furnished Kitchen off the great room. A den with pull out sofa is also off the great room.
There is a large back patio for grilling and eating out, along with a covered porch that overlooks the lake. The dock is very long and includes a wide platform at the end for swimming, fishing, hanging out, boating, etc.
This vacation home is perfect for one or two families to share for a week or two. There is plenty of space (2100 S.F.) and lots to do in the area, such as visit Sonnenburg Gardens, the Wineries, CMAC Amphitheater, Roseland Water Park, Bristol Mountain Ski Center, Fingerlakes Racetrack/casino, and there are several good golf courses in the area.
If you just want to relax on the dock or on the water there are boat rentals available by the day or week at a few of the local marinas. There is a fire pit so if relaxing by a campfire after watching the sunset is what you want, we have that as well.
Easy access to the house (no stairs) from the back patio/parking area is ideal for people who may have mobility issues. The first floor bedroom is across the hall from the bathroom for easy access for the elderly.
The house is located on the East side of the lake two miles south of Canandaigua. When contacting the rental agency, please ask for "Reed's Retreat".
