We are located on a hillside just South of Abilene, Texas. Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene Christian University, McMurry and the Taylor County Coliseum are all within moments of our property. Buffalo Gap, a local artist community, which also contains Shade of Hope is our 5 minute away neighbor.
Our construction is new, built with respect to the area flora and fauna which we feel certain will absolutely meet with your delighted approval.

Bedroom: beautiful colors and tasteful furnishings will greet you as you enter the bedrooms. Our linens are luxury, and the beds offer you to drop the cares of the world and rest!
Bath: This was the first non-negotiable when construction was underway. There is a deep cast iron (new) pedestal tub just perfect for soaking away the worries of the world... or for relaxing after a hike around the true Texas hillsides of our property.
Porch: sit outside in the Fall, Spring, or even into early November. We provide wooden rockers, cozy quilts, and unsurpassed views... we'll even supply our famous personally chosen coffee or tea should the season be right for sipping.
(you've heard of the "stars at night" in Texas... believe me... you will see stars!... most nights even the Milky Way!)

$195/night (2 night minimum)
Rates based on four person occupancy.
There is an additional fee of $25/night per person up to a max of six.
A 1 night non-refundable deposit required within 1 week of booking.
All local hotel taxes apply.
Extras such as Massages will be managed by service personnel
When you stay 4 nights the 5 night is free.

My husband and I built these cottages 3 years ago and have LOVED getting to have them available for friends, family, and yet to be friends or family!
WE KNOW you will not be disappointed in your visit here to our Texas hillside.
Our family, kids, and grandkids as well as much of our extended family live here in this little Jim Ned community. So FAMILY is what we are all about!

My soul felt restored in many ways during my stay here. Rarely have I had such rest, yet such a rich experience away from home. My one bedroom cottage was beautifully and comfortably furnished. Again and again, the artwork led me to pause to consider it's meaning to me. I enjoyed turning off the lights at night to take in the distant lights of Abilene, framed by the Gap. I felt so welcomed by the hosts, who have a love of this land. The same peace I sensed in my surroundings, I experienced in them.

Each time we have stayed in these cottages (we have stayed in both), we have been blessed by the peaceful environment that has been so painstakingly created by Troy and Carla. Even our 2 1/2 year old son appreciates the simple elegance and attention to detail that makes these cottages so comfortable (they are his favorite place to stay when away from home--he likes finding our names in the "big hand" on the table!). We absolutely loved the one bedroom cottage we stayed in. It was very comfortable and was equipped with everything one would need. We loved sitting on the porch in the rockers and just enjoying the view. The Limbaugh's are such gracious hosts and made us feel so welcome. What a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful visit to such a beautiful place!

We were so blessed to stay in the two bedroom cottage! The land is gorgeous and the families are so welcoming! Being out in the country was so peaceful and the cottage was homey and luxurious! We would go back in a heartbeat!!! It felt like a REAL vacation!

My wife and I chose this wonderful place for our honeymoon. The view out of the back of the one bedroom cottage is breathtaking. There is nothing but peace that abounds there. The Limbaughs are some of the friendliest people we've met, and went out of their way to make sure our stay was extra special.

This is an amazing place! When you enter the gates you feel true Peace, like a home away from home. It's veiws are incredible, and God's creation envelops you the moment you arrive. It is a refreshing "getaway", and allows for a truly relaxing experience.

We visited GateWay GetaWay in December 07 on our second wedding anniversery. With our busy lives, something relaxing was in order. We were blown away by the peaceful atmosphere, welcoming hosts, and beautiful cotteges. With every one of our five senses, we were met with relaxation. We often think about our time at GateWay and what an amazing time we had. We highly recommend GateWay GetaWay! We can't wait to go back!

We stayed in the two bedroom cottage. All six of us stayed VERY comfortably. We are ready to go back!! The cottage is beautiful inside and out. The views are spectacular. The peace and quiet will still your soul. Also, the opportunities for fun and food in the area are plentiful. Don't miss out!!!

You will receive a tremendous blessing if you choose this gentle place. So beautiful with all the comforts of home. The cottage wraps its arms around you with a gracious welcome the minute you open the door. The thing is, you feel the power of the welcoming embrace long after you have physically left.
