December through March, watch the whales play amazingly close to the beach, and year 'round you're sure to see the graceful sea turtles. There's action, too. Watch (or try yourself) surfing, kiteboarding, outrigger paddling, paddleboarding and kayaking from the private lanai of this idyllic condo.
This property is extremely comfortable, with charming Hawaiian style decor and all the necessary electronics including 2 Flat Screen TVs a DVD player, Stereo. There is free wireless internet in the condo, and for a small fee there are computers with printers available in the Mahana's lobby.
The kitchen is beautiful and fun to cook in. It is equipped with every utensil and appliance you'll need for drinking, dining and cooking. It has granite counter tops, new is 2012 stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and flat top range for easy clean-up. Includes coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, electric grill. Spices are available for your use. The Mahana has the best gas barbecue area by the pool for everyone's use - it is a great place to meet your fellow travelers.
The two full baths feature over-sized rain-style shower heads, delightful after a day at the beach. One bath is accessible from the living/dining area, and one is privately located in the master bedroom. There are binoculars for seeing everything, and books describing all the activities, the history, Hawaiian drink making, the fish you'll see while snorkeling, and more. The in-unit washer dryer means traveling light, making 705 the perfect home away from home. Beach chairs and coolers are provided for trips away from the Mahana.
The Mahana consists of two fabulously maintained and updated twelve-story buildings, with a beautiful stretch of sand and lawn in front. The buildings are connected by an upscale Hawaiian style entrance and lobby. One can walk along the beach for miles in either direction, then return to the Mahana for a swim in the ocean view pool, or warm up in the large ocean view hot tub
The activities desk in the lobby will organize any activity you wish, from a snorkel trip to a dinner cruise, a zip-line to a kayak tour. There are shops and restaurants, even a farmer's market nearby. The new Dukes oceanfront restaurant, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy hour is a few hundred yards from the Mahana. Whaler's Village is a short distance (approximately 3 miles - you can walk to it along the new beachwalk which starts at the Mahana). Lahaina and Kapalua are a few miles further - an easy drive for sightseeing and golf. The Mahana attracts a relaxed group of vacationers, seeking a quality island experience in a beautiful Hawaiian setting.

The condo was perfect for our trip to Maui! It had everything we needed with lots of attention to detail and extras. And the view of the ocean from the condo was truly to die-for! We also found the location of the condo made for easy access to all the activities we had planned. The parking is convenient, making it easy to get in and out as we went on our daily adventures. One of our favorite things to do was taking an evening walk over to Duke's for dinner or even just a cocktail, something we did multiple times. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone, it exceeded our expectations and we plan to return next summer.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: The views are indeed almost indescribable, and it's the best location for whale watching, sunsets, and beach walks!

THIS WAS OUR 3rd, STAY AT THE BREMERS CONDO. WE LOVE IT SO MUCH THAT WE'VE ALREADY BOOKED 3 WEEKS FOR NEXT YEAR! PERFECT LOCATION, VIEW AND ACCOMODATIONS! WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THIS CONDO? ! BEAUTIFUL FURNITURE, COMPFORTABLE BED (EVEN THE FOLD OUT COUCH-HE SNORES), FULLY STOCKED KITCHEN WITH BRAND NEW APPLIANCES. LOTS OF CLOSET SPACE WITH A HUGE WALK IN SHOWER. LOVE IT!!! CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities.

Dear Karen, What a wonderful time we had at your condo in Maui. We loved every minute of our stay. Everything at the condo was lovely, so well organized and so clean! We loved going to sleep at night listening to the waves. What fund to have Duke's restaurant just a short walk away. Bernd and Karen – We have been reflecting back after our most recent visit to your beautifully appointed Mahana 705 unit. On our first visit to #705 in 2006 we were swept away by the luxurious accommodations, the spectacular views and the unique sights and sounds of being right on the beach. In prior Hawaiian vacations we discovered that the West coast of Maui was “our place” and became familiar with the area but began to want more than the big resort hotel and distant ocean settings. This unit filled the bill beyond all expectations and, as you know, it has become our island home away from home every winter since; we are already looking forward to our return in 2010!Our daily routine moments always seem to include whale watching and newspaper reading on the unit 705 lanai and evening cocktails in that same location. The excitement and bustle of central Kaanapali and Lahaina are a few minutes away by car (or a delightful beach walk in the case of Kaanapali) and the big struggle each day is to choose between those venues and other island delights or just plain relaxing in the lap of luxury around the Mahana. About the owner: Let the spirit of aloha captivate you as it did us. We count our blessings each day we're lucky enough to be on Maui, one of the world's most beautiful places. We first came to Kaanapali in 1979, and it was love at first sight. And returning to Maui on our once a year sojourn is always a joy with something new to discover. So, abandon the schedule, shed the necktie or the pantyhose, and be rejuvenated! Maui does that!
Why the Owner Chose Mahana:
The view! The condo was just about perfect. The beautiful beach walks, stunning sunsets, romantic rainbows and potent pina coladas. We found it all here. The weather here is about as perfect all year 'round as one could ask for. It's the best place to watch the whales in winter. Maui never feels crowded, but due to its visitors, has great recreation and many fantastic restaurants and activities.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
On those days you want to do nothing, Mahana 705 is idyllic. Listen to the ocean as you relax on the lanai, at the pool, in the hot tub, on the beach. The ambience is always fun, but mellow. We walk to the farmer's market for tropical fruit and flowers, and fresh fish for dinner. On the days when you desire a little more activity, it's a short walk to the best snorkeling park on the island, or a short drive over to Whaler's Village or Lahaina for some gifts for the folks at home or to go to a luau. It's a convenient spot from which to take a longer excursion out to Hana and the Seven Pools, or up to the top of the volcano for the sunrise and a little hike. The concierge at the Mahana will find you anthing from a dinner cruise to a kayak trip. There's always something new to discover, even after 30 years!
