Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2001
We are a family of five (3 young boys) who love the outdoors and sports. We also like to camp and spend time on the ocean, whenever we can sneak away. We are both teachers. Rick teaches woodshop at a middle school and I am a former science teacher but am now home schooling my three boys and I love it!
Why the Owner Chose Colorado Springs
This is our primary residence and we rent it out for the summer to allow us to travel to other areas. Our property is located in the beautiful Black Forest area of Colorado Springs. We chose this area because it feels like we are in the mountains, yet we are 10 miles from town. So, it gives us the sense that we live in a Bed and Breakfast year round. We are surrounded by pine trees and nature.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Some of the unique benefits you'll enjoy while staying at Home in the Pines is a quiet, retreat area. It's perfect for getting away from the busyness of live. Took grandchildren on a vacation to Colorado Springs and had the privilege of staying in this beautiful home. It became home to us after a busy day of sightseeing. The house has everything listed and more. We enjoyed the back patio and outdoor cooking. The owners are very accommodating and went over and above what we expected. The house is spacious, clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this property. We found it convenient to all the sights we wanted to see. The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with over an acre for children to play. We cooked a lot of our meals at the house but there are plenty of restaurants and stores in the area.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
