In Puyallup, you will find, among other things, the Western Washington Fairgrounds, the Saturday market (seasonal), antique stores, and restaurants etc. If you feel energetic, you can choose to drive or walk into town, and enjoy all of what the year round fairgrounds have to offer. Take the nearby train into Seattle and visit Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, shopping, sporting events and more fantastic restaurants. Return in the evening and relax on the front porch swing or enjoy a game of croquet/badminton in our back yard, which is the perfect size for all your recreational activities. Spoil yourself with a glass of wine and visit with your family around the outdoor fire pit. The parameter of the back yard is surrounded with fruit trees, flowers and vegetation creating complete privacy and seclusion. All of this plus the added benefit of a private and safe neighborhood gives you the feeling of country living.
The entire home has 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 1 half bath, a living room, a fireplace/library room, a formal dining room, a great room (big screen TV and baby grand piano), 2 fully stocked kitchens, 2 separate staircases leading up to bedrooms, a mud room and a laundry room. The first things you will notice upon entry are the beautiful hardwood floors in the formal living room and Italian Limestone throughout the fireside room and kitchen. In the great room, relax in our rich leather sofa or chair while watching your favorite show on the 64-inch big screen or play a tune on the 1898 baby grand piano. We only use the highest-grade mattresses and down-filled pillows with 500-1000 ct linens provided. In most cases, we personally iron your sheets. Your absolute comfort and quality is our first priority. The master bedroom has a brand new Tempur-Pedic bed. All laundry products are provided as well as a fully stocked kitchen. All of the staples that you would find in your own kitchen such as sugar, flour, cooking oils, pots, pans, are all included. Why would anyone want to stay in a small one-room hotel when you could stay in a beautiful spacious home? We even have maid service available (ask about this extra service).
OPTION TWO: Originally, the home was approximately 3000 square feet. The original owners built a 1500 square foot addition to accommodate "the in-laws". Built in an L shape, the main house and in-law home are connected by a shared laundry room with a private entrance on each side affording each portion complete privacy. The only common wall runs along the upstairs hallway of the in-law home. When the adjoining doors are locked (similar to a hotel with adjoining rooms), the home becomes two units: the main house (The Rose House) and the in-law house (The Mary House), each sharing the common laundry room. This is the perfect home to rent for weddings guests or family reunions when a measure of separation and privacy are desired.

Why the Owner Chose Puyallup
Although we found this home in the heart of Puyallup and close to the fairgrounds it feels like we are livinng in the country. A river/creek runs thru the backyard of our neighbor. The neighbors house adds to the charm as it looks like it stepped out of Gone with the Wind. This home has character! This home has so much to offer and I guarentee that you will never stay at another hotel in our area.

Owner's Map of Puyallup
We have a large family with 5 children and this was the perfect house for them-especially as teenagers. Because this luxurious house had the advantage of a full family-in-law addition, our daughter and her husband where able to live with us for a year with total privacy. Our daughter was married in Puyallup and we found it very frustrating and expensive to find housing for out of town guests. We knew this house was the answer for others who find themselves in the same situation. After moving to Portland we had to keep this house and make it available to others. It is also perfect for those visiting the fairgrounds. I promise you will love it as much as we did.

We were there for our son's military commissioning. The home was lovely and well cared for. The gardens are exquiste though we were so busy each day, we were not able to spend a lot of time in them. The owner turned on lights and a fountain in the back yard in the evenings to welcome us home. We completely enjoyed coming home to a home each night and not a hotel. The percale sheets were great! AND there is an amazing view of Mt. Rainier at the end of the street which we did not even know was there until the 4th night of our stay because we came home most nights after dark! The kitchen is huge and a great space to gather for breakfast or late night snacks and those who wanted to watch TV could do so on the main floor without disturbing those who wanted to sleep! Our main concern was that we left messages with questions and never received calls back. The description said there were extra linens but we could not find any when needed for an extra guest whom we had advised was coming. Our guest had to sleep on the couch (though she was so tired, she slept just as well). The common door - the laundry room, is not secured, so that was a unnerving for those of us who are used to locking every door in the big city. And the double bed in one of the rooms is VERY high off the floor and a step stool would have been helpful.
Owner response:Thank you so much for your review! When only renting one side of the house you should have had a pad lock for your door. Since you have left it has been found and put back up! So I apologize if at anytime you felt unsafe. I attempted to call the number back and with no answer and the voicemail not set up we were unable to reach you. We did have the linens ready but since we were unable to reach you, they just sat in the laundry room waiting! We apologize for these issues and we will be working hard to fix each and every one of them to better assist our guests with a wonderful stay!

We were there for an adoption, and the owners made this home so accommodating for our newest bundle of joy! There were flowers picked daily for us, the house was just BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Amazing backyard, and easily accessible to the highways, as well as a great park nearby that has trails, picnic areas. The house is just GORGEOUS inside and VERY clean and the decor is just beautiful! There is a lot of love and hard work put into this house and the owners make it their purpose to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The pictures do not do it justice. Thank you, for making this visit a memorable one, we will be back. :)
Owner response:These are the kind of reviews we work hard for. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope to have you back again soon!

I just wanted to thank you for all the time and attention to every detail that you provided when my family and I rented the Puyallup House for my daughter’s wedding in June. Everything was beautifully appointed from the fresh flowers in many of the rooms to the gift baskets and a refrigerator stocked with some stables. The backyard was so lovely to relax and have a glass of wine in. I would love to come bac k next year and rent your house for a family reunion.

Our family used this house for a recent wedding. Out of town guests, extended family members, as well as a few in the wedding party. WOW! The pictures do not do this home justice. This home is spacious, elegant and beautifully decorated. The yard and gardens were gorgeous. The owners put alot of thought and care into the home and our every need was taken care of. We saved hundreds of dollars every day-compared to renting several hotel rooms. There are two separate (fully equipped) kitchens as well as three living/sitting rooms (plus formal dining rooms). All of the beds were high quality and everyone said they were comfortable. I usually don't write reviews but this place was so fantastic-definitely recommend it! A great place for a family, groups or wedding.
