We stayed at this Siesta Key home the week of April 21, 2012. With a 1 and 3 year old, this was a pretty ideal setup. We were able to go to the beach often, eat at home (which is important with a 1 and 3 year old!) and enjoy the pool and hot tub. My 3 year old son loved going back and forth from the pool to the hot tub all afternoon while my 1 year old took a nap in the adjacent bedroom. We would highly recommend staying here - it worked well for us.

Our vacation was wonderful! We had a great time with our adult children. So much to do; kayaking snorkeling, bike riding...and the beach! We loved the pool and the hot tub. . Your house is beautiful and was perfect for our family. It was just as we'd hoped. We'd love to come back!

My family (myself, husband, 2 daughters, and mother) stayed in such comfort during our vacation. We awoke to a brewed pot of coffee and splendid sunshine. We drank our coffee on the top deck. It wasn't too long after that my girls were jumping into the pool. We spent our days visiting multiple beaches in the area with the best beach just a short drive or walk away. There was no need to frequent the restaurants though because we had a lovely kitchen to cook in with everything we needed. At night we headed into the hot tub and the pool for a late day soak. The lizards kept us company and my daughter found it incredible that she was able to actually catch one! The wireless internet and more channels on the television that you could ever imagine helped to wind us down and put us to sleep. The master suite is to die for with the reading room, king bed, extremely large walk in closet, and large bathroom with a shower big enough to hold a small party in. Everything was perfect about this house from start to finish. We will definitely be staying here again!

Two words...as advertised. 9 consecutive years in lovely Siesta Key for annual Spring Break with the family. Elliott is the best owner we have worked with and his home is simply... "as advertised" - thanks for a wonderful stay. From the comfortable beds to the cozy decor, to the pool and hot tub. It is no coincidence prospective renters will have only positive comments regarding this home after a visit. Elliot treats you like he would want to be treated...no detail left out...even the lights and cieling fan wall switches are labeled for ease of use. Only other comment for good of the group is that while the distance from this terrific home to the Siesta Key Village is walkable, with small children it is a long walk home after dinner through some dark streets. However, it is a very quick drive to park on a village side street, as an alternative. Thanks for a great stay Elliot.

We meet the extended family in Florida every year for the holidays. This year we decided to stay at Siesta Key to be close to my older brother in Sarasota. The weather was spectacular and the house was awesome. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool every day & night too. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you need! The village and beach are close enough to walk, but far enough that the neighborhood is nice and quiet. This is the best house we have ever rented. We will definitely be going back again! Thanks Elliot

Our second visit to Siesta Key Cottage, and it has quickly become a favorite place for vacation. No worries about what awaits....it is always clean and tidy. The spacious rooms and convenient floor plan are a big part of what sets this property apart.Another big plus is the garage with plenty of space for two vehicles and bicycles.( There are lots of bike paths throughout the island.) The neighborhood is quiet yet close to great beaches. A beautiful backyard with large heated pool and separate hot -tub will delight anyone that doesn't swim in the sea. The modern kitchen and outdoor deck overlooking the pool makes eating-in a pleasant choice. There are simply no hassles at all, thanks to Elliot & Kristin's foresight in making this house so comfortable. We look forward to returning each year to this truly exceptional place. My husband and I just rented this house for our vacation. It is so spacious and has all the amenities! We didn't even use the upstairs, which has three bedrooms. The pool and hot tub are relaxing. The restaurants and beaches nearby are fantastic. We went to four different beaches that were all quick to get to by car. The white sand of Siesta Key Beach is amazing, and the amount of sharks' teeth we found in Venice beach was pretty wild. We enjoyed going to Javier's in Crescent beach and the Veg in Sarasota. Elliot is great to work with; you can tell they care about their home and Siesta Key, which was reassuring for us as we didn't know about the area and where to stay. We would recommend this house to others!

This house is perfect!!!! We went for 9 days to Siesta Key, 3 kids(6-9 yrs old) and my wife and I. The kids each had their own room upstairs and we got some adult time after the kids were in bed to enjoy the house. The house has a great lay out and there is an entrance from the pool area to the master bath for the kids to change and shower. Everything needed for cooking was in the kitchen and we BBQ'd a few days. The pool is a big enough for laps, splashing around and very private, so the kids loved it and so did we. It is about 6.5 feet deep and maybe 3 feet in the shallow end. The village is right up the road on Treasure Boat Rd, maybe a 3 minute drive, tops, to the #1 beach in the nation. Get there early and get a parking spot, the sand is the softest you will every expereince. The sunset is beautiful @ Siesta Key, I would compare it to a Key West sunset!!! Their is a publix's grocery store right off the island on Osprey, just south after you go over the bridge on Siesta Dr. Tampa Bay is about an hour twenty minutes away and we spent a day at Busch Gardens, not a bad drive. We also ventured down to Venice and did some shell and shark teeth hunting as well. Here is my information on restaurants: Daquiri's on the Deck: very poor; all fried and feels like a tourist trap. Old Salt Dog: medicore; Lots of fried food, good drink pours, but good fish sandwich, grilled. The Hub: Average: The food was good and more to choose from then fried food. The Garden Cafe: poor, terrible grits and not so good service. We didn't make to the Lobester Pot, but will next time. Big Olaf is great for ice cream. We ventured to the main land for some other restaurants. Strongly recommend Althea's in Venice for breakfast and Word of Mouth off Osprey in downtown Sarasota for breakfast. Bottom Line: Beautiful house, very clean, lots of towels etc, great location for piece and quiet, yet close enough to get to the beach and village, fantastic pool and a beach that is ranked #1 for a reason. Great sand, calm waves with 80 degree water and unsurpassed sunsets! Just repsect the property because other patrons leave things behind for other families to use, such as pool toys, baskets and shovels etc. Thsi is the place to stay.

The house was wonderful, moden kitchen, great pool. Elliot was very easy to work with. Loved the local restaurants - Salty Dog, Broken Egg are great. The beach is one of Florida's best, perfect white sand. We like that the house is close to the beach yet tucked away from the main busy area. The pool is very private. We enjoyed it, this was our second stay stay at this house.

This beach home is fabulous. The home is exactly as described. The pictures don't do it justice. The home is very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The master bedroom and bath is huge with a large walk-in closet. We spent a large part of our week enjoying the private backyard and pool. When we were not on the beach, we were in the pool. The neigborhood was nice and peacefull. It was really nice to have a garage. Siesta Key is wonderful. The beach is beautiful, providing breath taking sunsets. The Village is a short distance away, providing multiple choices for dining and nightlife. We really enjoy the Old Salty Dog. The owner was a pleasure. He made the process hassel free. If you ever plan on going to Siesta Key (and you should) this is the place to relax on your vacation. You won't be sorry.

This was our second time at Key West Cottage, and I think we enjoyed ourselves even more than the first (which I didn't think we can do). Great weather, beaches, and restaurants. We have rented other condos/houses and this one by far is the best maintained. The appearance of the house truly exceeds the descripiton and pictures. The owners had made several upgrades since our last trip, even though the house was in great condition then. The house was extremely clean when we arrived and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. The house is very close to all the local beaches, shopping, restaurants, etc. Woudl highly recommend to anyone. Don't miss Siesta Key Beach at Sunset and be sure to try Libby's for dinner.

We have a WONDERFUL vacation at your home in Siesta Key. The house was perfect for our family (6 adults and 2 babies) and was everything we needed! The pool was awesome and we spent a lot of time out there. It was convenient to put the babies down for naps when they needed it and we could relax by the pool. We spent a couple of days at the beach and went for a beautiful sunset. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. 85-90 and sunshine everyday and hardly a cloud in the sky! Several days we took walks around the neighborhood and dreamed about owning a home down there. The neighbors were very friendly and cordial when we would see them. Your pool man was very nice. We certainly would recommend your home to any of our friends that want to visit Siesta Key and we look forward to hopefully returning again someday. The beach is one of the nicest we have ever visited! We had fun visiting some of the shops along the beach and the kids and grandkids made sure we went to the Olaf’s Ice Cream Shop a couple of times. Elliott, you have made this whole process very easy and were certainly very quick to answer any questions I had and e-mails in a very timely manner. Thanks again for everything and I hope that we “can do business” again someday.

We could not have asked for a nicer or more beautiful place to stay. From the moment we walked in we were at home. The beach is aobut a mile away. Siesta Key It is amazingly beautiful. This is one home away from home that is even more beautiful than the photographs. There are three bedrooms and a full bath upstairs and a master suite on the first floor with a private door out to the deck, pool and hot tub which is very nice. The kitchen is fully equipped and a joy to cook in. We rented bikes from Siesta Key Rentals, at $35 for the week, and biked to town and the beach to watch the unforgetable sunsets and enjoy the days. There is a two car garage which we kept our bikes in for the week. Since we brought our family including 2 UCONN grads we enjoyed watching the National Championships on a big flat screen TV in the large comfortable family room. There was a cozy breakfast bar and nice large dining table indoors. There is another half bath on the first floor which was a great convenience. The kitchen leads out onto a deck that has a new gas grill and a table and six chairs so that one can cook and later converse under the palm trees and stars while having a relaxing over dinner. A few steps down there is a hot tub and large pool that is large and in excellent condition. Surrounding the pool are beautiful gardens which create a very peaceful, private atmosphere. The pool man came by twice to check on us and the place was immaculate on our arrival. Everything worked great while we were there including a full size washer and dryer. Elliot was wonderful to work with and couldn't have been nicer. I am telling everyone I know just how special Key West Cottage is and it is our hope to return to this special home one day.

This listing represented itself very accurately and we appreciated the little extra touches that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The large kitchen was modern and handy to the new deck and gas grill. Whether sipping morning coffee or enjoying an evening cocktail , the back deck area was a focal point for activity planning or just soaking up the warm sun. The hot tub was a treat after a dip in the large pool or a bike ride thru the village or a walk on the beautiful beaches. A first floor master suite with private bath was very spacious.(Thanks for all the closet space and hangers) John, the pool caretaker, was a wealth of local information. Appreciated having an attached garage as well as off street parking for guests. Siesta Key was a perfect fit for us and we can whole-heartedly recommend this listing to friends and family. WE'LL BE BACK!

We had a great family vacation, with 6 adults and 1 child the house was perfect for all of us to still have our own space. It was so nice to have a short 5 minute drive to Siesta Key Beach, and just minutes from the village for all our shopping and dining. The house is very clean and properly maintained, it was everything we could have asked for when looking for the perfect house for our vacation. The backyard with the pool and hot tub we're a major plus! I would highly recommend this well cared for beach cottage to anyone, the owners are great to work with and very fast in replying with information about your trip.

First things first, we over packed...all you need is a swim suit and shorts and t-shirts. And not a lot of anything. The home had everything we needed from linens to pool floats and beach chairs. Very private backyard and jacuzzi and lovely neighbors who great you when walking in the neighborhood. The home is within walking distance of the village and there is a grocery, hardware store, ice cream, restaurants, gym and coffee shop amongst other things. They have a farmer's market on Sunday. And Sunday evening we bought stone crabs from a vendor on the beach. We took full advantage of the areas beaches, ballet, planetarium (for children) and aquarium. My favorite outing was the Selby botanical garden...oops, maybe that ties with the ballet since we got to see Baryshnikov. Elliot was so accommodating and responded so quickly to any questions. We would have stayed longer if we could have.

We stayed at the Key West Cottage two weeks ago and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house was clean and very well maintained. The pictures really do not do it the proper justice. The pool and jacuzzi area are large and beautifully landscaped. There is a great outdoor deck with a large dining table just off the kitchen which is perfect for evening dinner/drinks. The location is about 3 minutes from Siesta Key Village where there is a great selection of restaurants and shops. The beach is about the same distance and is probably one of the most beautiful I've seen. Downtown Sarasota and St. Armands Circle are a 15 minute drive. There you can find other wonderful restaurants, bars, shops, movie theatres, and other activities. If you are a dog owner, I highly recommend the dog beach in Venice. This beach is about 25 minutes drive south from Sarasota and is hands down the best dog beach I've been too (and I'm from Miami). There were too many great restaurants to begin to recommend, but the owners have a list at the house and they are all terrific. It was a pleasure dealing with the owners from beginning to end. They could not have been more friendly and helpful. My wife and I are already planning a return trip to this beautiful property.

We had some hiccups with a few things on our trip but the experience still has to rate as excellent and everyone who came to fix things was so nice and friendly it became part of the experience. The place is just beautiful in a tranquil little lane with a pretty garden full of things to admire and watch as you float around the exceptional pool. Sitting in the hot tub watching squirrels play on the fence was awesome! The house itself had everything we needed including a great bar b q and with publix doing such a great selection of bar b q meats you could eat in every night. Then you'd miss the bars and restaurants of the key. The beaches are stunning although I loved the pool so much did not go as much as I thought I would. I loved the master bedroom and slept better than I have for years. Home now relaxed and tanned but already missing this lovely house. Thanks for sharing!

We stayed the week of July 24-31, 2010. The house is outstanding! The pictures online don't tell the whole story. The living room has 20-30 foot ceilings with two big paddle fans. The kitchen is basically brand new with stainless steel appliances. The master bedroom is large with a nice sitting room attached. The pool is pretty big for a private pool in that area. My 4 year old son could touch just off the steps and I would say it goes to about 6-7 feet deep on the far end. We traveled with another family and had plenty of room. There were three kids, ages 4, 2, and 10 months. They had plenty to do and all the pool toys kept them busy outside. The house is a short drive to the village and beaches. You really can’t go wrong with any of the restaurants. However, I do recommend beach access #5. We tried #8, but it was a very long walk and when you have kids, it gets tough. #5 is a short walk and there really weren’t many people. The beach itself doesn’t have many shells and you get nothing but the white powder sand. Everything is within walking distance, but it was so hot that week, we ended up driving. If we only had adluts, I would have left the car in the garage. Elliot was a great guy to work with. He made sure we were taken care of and the house was ready to go. When I come back to Siesta Key, my first call will be to Elliot to make sure his house is available.

Imagine a spacious, comfortable vacation home where all the amenities are exactly as billed, and you are located minutes away from fabulous beaches, shopping and restaurants. That's exactly what you get with Elliot's getaway on Siesta Key... very large for our family of four with plenty of room to spread out and relax. Pool is pretty as a picture, and larger even than the pictures suggest. Hot tub great for changing the mood when we were 'blessed' with rain. The house is centrally located, and provides easy access to both the north and south access points off the island- lots of good shopping, movies and restaurants available either way. Thanks again to Elliot for being extremely helpful and responsive before and throughout our stay...

What a wonderful house! Elliot was so easy to work with, he always answered emails quickly even before we booked the house. The pool is very large and great for late night swims. The house had plenty of towel and linens available. The house was very conviently located to everything. Not even 5 minutes to the Village. If visitng we reccomend The Hub and the Daquari Deck, which are both very family friendly. The beach is also very close, wouldn't say within walking distance but by car only takes a few minutes. The beach was very nice and clean. The water is so calm the kids could wander out quite far without us having to worry. Plenty of activities in the area. We are already considering returning next year. Thank you for a very relaxing and pleasant vacation. Kerry, Sherry, Ethan and Emma.

We had an absolutely fabulous time here. The house is done tastefully and the accomodations are wonderful. The pool is such an added plus. It helps that we are staying during one of the hottest times at the moment. We loved Beach Access #8. Nice beach and tons of sand dollars, literally. We also visited Big Olaf for wonderful ice cream and The Hub has terrrific sandwiches and sweet potato fries. Caspersen Beach had sharks teeth and they really mean it. It was so much fun. We loved working with Elliot and Kirstin for our rental. They truly want you to enjoy the property and to make the most of the visit. We greatly appreciate the wonderful house and how you made our greyhounds welcome as well. Our retired racers spent most of the days under the ceiling fan in the master bedroom or on the pool deck. Take a stroll around the neighborhood and go down canopy road. It is absolutely beautiful and the trees and flowers are amazing. Our dogs loved going thru the hood and checking everything out. We will definitely come back and visit Key West Cottage again. We have been very pleased. We would totally recommend this to anyone who is looking for a laid back atmosphere. The space gives enough so that everyone has a little breathing room! Thanks for a wonderful Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We vacationed here for a week in late May (right before Memorial Day). We loved this house!! It was just perfect for our family. It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. I liked that the master is downstairs and has its own door to the pool area. We used the pool and hot tub daily, and enjoyed the best beach vacation we've ever had. Siesta Key is a charming, beautiful, and refreshingly casual beach town. We will definitely return!

Key West Cottage is a gorgeous place to stay. We stayed here for the first wk in June 2010, and it is as good as the photos and description say it is. The house is light and airy with stylish furniture. The beds are really comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The house is about a 5 minute drive to the a beach which has been rated as the 2nd best beach in the world and when you arrive you will see why -beautiful calm waters, warm sea and miles of white fine sand. Having travelled all over the world, this destination would sit in my top 3 easily. The pool at the house is good for swimming lengths as its longer than most private pools and was the focus of hours of fun. There are loads of restaurants in Siesta Key and accessible in nearby Sarasota. The shops are nearby including Macy's, Sak's Fifth Ave and supermarkets to stock up on essentials. Visit the other Keys nearby especially Lido Key where the Mote Aquarium is and have a drink at sunset at St Armand's Circle, where you can have a Run Runner or a luxury dinner. Don't pass up on Kilwin's either for ice cream and chocolate. So for a relaxing place to stay, with good food, perfect beaches and great shopping, this is the place to choose.

This refurbished house was a great base for Siesta Key. As described, it is close to both village and the many amazing beaches, where the soft white sand manages to stay cool even in the very high temperatures. The pool, the largest of any villa that we have previously stayed at, was surrounded by birds, squirrels and lizards, all of which appeared to be enjoying the lovely landscaped garden as much as we did. A great deck with large barbeque where we enjoyed some wonderful balmy evenings. There were plenty of sun beds and garden chairs and tables. The villa is furnished and equipped with everything to make it feel like home from home. Elliot and Kristen were easy to deal with and really obliging. Siesta Village has many restaurants and bars. We had very young children in our party who were made very welcome in the ones we visited, and who slept incredibly well here. We would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to friends or relatives.

We stayed here from Jan 22 to Feb 20, 2010. The house was exactly what we needed to entertain friends. The master bdrm is downstairs and private from the other bedrooms and kitchen/den area. The pool is huge and backyard very private. The squirrels kept my dog entertained for hours. She was fascinated watching them hop from palm tree to palm tree! We would stay at this property again. A bit of a walk to the village but we had our bicycles and it was no problem!

This is such a wonderful property! We would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Siesta Key area. The house is just charming and has quite the "wow" factor when you walk through the door first time. The owners have supplied for your every need...plenty of towels and kitchen plates, utensils and cooking requirements. We even found a little Christmas tree :) The beds are very comfy and the sheets also. The back garden is private and perfect for any family gathering. The house is very close to Siesta Key village and the beaches. We really enjoyed our stay there and look forward to coming back again.

The Key West Cottage was very clean and nice, situated on a quiet street, and yet close to the Siesta Key Village and beaches. We enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen, it had very nice appliances. The bedrooms had comfortable beds and we enjoyed the private backyard with pool and hot tub. Very enjoyable. We would definitely stay there again!

September 5–12, 2009 - A relaxing stay in a gorgeous location. House was delightful. Pool was fantastic. A short distance from Siesta Village means everything is close but not too close. Perfect! We highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed. In fact, we are planning a return trip!

13 - 24 September 2009 - Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely house in quiet road, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. Nicely furnished in keeping with the name of the house. Very nice swimming pool, in sun and large enough to actually swim in! Elliot the owner was very helpful. Already shown to other friends and have no hesitation in recommending.
