Why the Owner Chose Atrium
In town, in town, in town! We really saw such a huge advantage to be right in town within walking distance of everything. You really get such a better sense of Breckenridge by being in the heart of it when you stay there.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Access to Lifts. You can walk to the base of Peak 9, its doable, about 3.5 blocks. Great if you leave your ski-boots and skis at the rental shop at the mountain base. Only a 5 minute walk. Summit Stage (free bus system) stops right in front of the Atrium complex every 20 minutes and takes you to the new Gondola, which is by far the fastest and best way to get up the mountain. Absolutely no walking just a quick 7 minute bus ride.
Owner's Map of Atrium
Our family purchased this unit as a placeholder for us in the mountains, so that no matter where we lived, we'd always have to ability to go back. Generally we rent the unit out during ski season and typically spend the summer weekends up there ourselves.

We had a great time at this condo over Christmas. It's very close to anything you would want to do--sledding hill, grocery store, slopes, downtown shops and restaurants. The place itself was very clean and comfortable and the owner was great to deal with, even tossed in a free night for us! Overall a great experience for both the adults and the kids--highly recommended.

No elevator; had to walk up 5 flights of stairs with all our gear

Besides no elevator, there's no loading area to unload gear from the car. The parking situation is terrible; "no parking" signs everywhere. Only one car allowed; overnight parking for additional cars is three long blocks away. The buzzer to get into the bldg. doesn't work, so you must have a key. The unit is dated, with dirty, old carpet and paper-thin doors. The kitchen is poorly equipped; barely any glasses and not a wine glass in sight. Utensils and cookware are sufficient, but are thrown in cupboards with no organization. It was clean, however, so the maids are doing their job; owners are not. Good dishwasher. The only redeeming factor was the space - large unit does sleep 8. But for that many people, there will be more than one car. I would never recommend it. Location is good for kids - right next to sledding hill. Walking to town is doable; it's not in "historic district," but you can easily walk to it.
Owner response:Unfortunately in Breckenridge parking is at a premium, and overnight parking even for residents of Breckenridge is hard to get. Luckily we have any sort of overnight parking available for our guests relatively near, its cheap and it does the job. I warn all my guests regarding the parking situation. The guest who wrote this review was also staying during xmas and new year holiday and as everyone should expect, Breckenridge is packed. There is no buzzer to get into the building as it would be hooked up to a phone which the unit does not have anymore as everyone has cell phones these days. I provide up to 6 keys for my guests so that everyone can come and go with ease. I have addressed the glasses issue at the unit. Glasses break and I wish she would have called me to let me know her needs. This unit is in the historic district, that's the way the deed reads as well as where we come up on VRBO, something that I have no control over. I always explain to my guests exactly where the unit is. Yes, there is no elevator and I have many times suggested to renters to find other lodging if they have individuals for whom stairs are a problem.

Great condo! We have 2 young boys and this condo was perfect for us. The great room has a lofted ceiling that opens to a lofted 2nd living room. Our boys loved it. They had their own space but were never too far away. The condo had everything we needed. Nice kitchen with all the amenities. Wood burning fireplace, big screen TV, hot tub, sledding hill right behind the unit (sleds included).
