The Art Nouveau villa “Villa Anna Isole Borromee”, which was built in 1908, is located ca. 1,9 km above Baveno and the wonderful lake-side promenade, with the ferry landing pier. You can take the ferry to many of the surrounding places you may wish to visit. Baveno railway station is also only ca. 2 kms away. You can get to the centre of Milan City by train in approx. 1 hour. This complex is in a unique and panoramic location, with breath-taking views of the lake, the Borremeo Islands and the surrounding mountains. The villa was completely renovated in 2004. During the careful restoration of the heritage-protected Art Nouveau villa, the structure of the old facade was preserved and, when necessary, restored. The result: a stylish villa which has been equipped with all modern conveniences, while retaining the charm of its original facade with its wonderful frescos. Thanks to a well-known Milan interior architect, all the appartments have been tastefully re-furnished in a style apropriate to the ambience of the villa. All kitchens have a dish-washer and a micro-wave. In addition, most appartments have a splendid private outdoor area with patio and garden or balcony, with breath-taking views of lake, islands and the Alps. There is also a communal outdoor area which is shared by all the appartments, with sun patio („Solarium“), and a ca. 1.000m² garden with a beautiful swimming-pool (ca. 10m x 7m), open from ca. mid-May to ca. late September (weatherdependent). Amenities in this garden area include an outdoor shower, deckchairs and umbrellas. Children will love the small playground. A washing machine is available in the basement for general use (payment by coin). The appartments can be easily accessed, either by stairs or lift. All appartments were tastefully re-furnished in 2007. The kitchens are well-equipped with dishwasher, micro-wave, etc. Most appartments also have an attractive private outdoor area, with garden or balcony and views of the lake, islands and the Alps. There is ample parking space in the grounds.
In 2007, an 8-family house („Dépendance“) was built beside the Art Nouveau villa. The guests of the Dépendance are naturally entitled to avail of the communal outdoor area of the „Villa Anna Isole Borromee“, which includes the ca. 1.000m² garden with panorama view, the lovely swimming pool (ca. 10m x 7m), which is open (depending on the weather) from ca. mid-May to ca. late September, with garden shower, deck-chairs and umbrellas. Children will love the small playground. There is a washing-machine in the basement (payment by coin). All appartments were tastefully re-furnished in 2007. The itchens are well-equiped with dish-washer, micro-wave, etc. In addition, most of the appartments have an attractive private outdoor area with garden or balcony, as well as views of the lake, islands and Alps.
