THE MAIN HOUSE
The main house has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
All bedrooms have on-suite designer bathrooms with over-sized soaking tubs and showers.
French doors from all bedrooms lead out to the patio area and look out to the gardens.
Bedding can be configured as either singles or kings to suite your specific requirements.
The master bedroom suite has a wood burning fireplace, screened-in sleeping porch and private outdoor heated “al-fresco” shower.
The spacious great room has a wood burning fireplace, radiant floor heating, dining area, fully equipped kitchen with granite counters and top-of-the-line modern appliances.
Three large sets of french doors lead onto the large covered patio with outdoor fireplace, for year round outdoor living, dining and entertaining.
The Main House features high-speed wireless internet access, cable television, DVD players, gas barbecue grill and washer/dryer facilities.
Cell phone service accessible.
The salt water hot-soak spa and cold-plunge pool is available for year round enjoyment.
The Main House has no stairs and is all on one level.
The property is elder friendly and handicap accessible (with some limitations).

THE BUNGALOW
A separate 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, private bungalow with full kitchen is also part of the residence.
Bedding can be configured as either singles or king to suite your specific requirements.
The living room and bedroom of the Bungalow both have French doors which lead onto a private patio and garden area with a hammock and outdoor fire pit.
The Bungalow has a fireplace and radiant floor heating, and also features high speed wireless internet access, cable television, DVD player, gas barbecue grill and washer/dryer facilities.
Bungalow rental can be separate or combined with rental of the main house.
THE STUDIO
The 1,000 square foot (approx. 40' x 25') studio with radiant heated flooring and restroom facilities is ideally suited for yoga and other workshops.
The spectacular studio opens onto large oak trees and gardens and a rock outdoor fire-pit.
The studio is a perfect space for movement and meditation.
RENTAL POLICIES
Villa Ojai is for exclusive use as a quite family and tranquil retreat setting.
Parties and/or any loud activities absolutely not permitted.
In consideration of our neighbors, outdoor amplification, music and group vocal expressions, are not permitted anywhere on the property.
Outside activities to end by 10 pm.
Quiet time policy after 10 pm.
Any activity that creates excessive noise and/or other disturbance will result in early termination and immediate eviction from the premises.
In the event of an early termination, no refund of rental fees or deposits will be made.

The Casitas Water Adventure is open throughout the summer. For the younger children, a multi-level jungle gym with waterfalls, bridges and slides in a lagoon with water up to 18' deep.
For the whole family, the Lazy River offers a cool water ride on inner tubes along a scenic waterway featuring waterfalls, fog filled bridges and jet sprays. The inner tubes are available free of charge on a first come, first served basis. And for the tots, a zero-depth pool sprays water from all angles, providing a safe, fun play area.

We were a group of life friends having a 50th birthday reunion, 8 singles. We were very comfortable in the Villa, each having our own beds and plenty of bathroom space (we could have accommodated 12). We cooked and hung out at the house, and found the kitchen to be well equipped and modern. The setting is gorgeous and private. We walked easily to downtown twice. Don't miss Bart's Books down the street! The booking, entry, exit, cleanliness, etc, were all perfect. The listing represents the property very well.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

My stay at Villa Ojai was wonderful. I stayed with a group of women that I had the pleasure of meeting and really enjoyed the concept of bunking with others (felt like we were at camp) as well as the comfort of a large kitchen and beautiful setting so close to town.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This review is long overdue! Villa Ojai saw the joining together of various branches of our family to celebrate both college graduations and a marriage proposal. The main house itself is gorgeous, decorated in southwestern muted tones; comfortable and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms almost spa-like in presentation and design. Everything was very eye-appealing and extremely clean. The floor plan lends itself to privacy for couples (split bedroom wings) yet also allows commons areas (indoors and out) for the group to join together. We also rented a adjoining guest house that was romantic and delightful in its decor. The main house is barrier free inside and on the back patio; perfect for anyone with a disability. (including a beautiful barrier free shower in the main bedroom!) We loved ending our evenings with a fire in the outdoor fireplace! There were chairs that could be pulled up or outdoor sofas that welcomed the weary tourist, allowing us to share our adventures of the day. The Wine Festival was amazing and way too much fun! We also enjoyed the local golf course and a beautiful park, perfect for hiking, located about 8 miles east of Ojai. Darryl, as manager of Villa Ojai, was very accommodating to our needs, both ahead of time and while at the villa. His pleasant demeanor made the whole reservation process painless. (We ended up renting the whole estate as our numbers grew!) Villa Ojai was all that was promised in the VRBO! The location is perfect, just a few blocks from the main street with its great shopping/small upscale shops, great restaurants and a quaint used book store. The biggest surprise is that you are, in fact, in a residential area but you are also at the end of a dead end street; thus feeling you're "away from everything" while you're really not! It's just beyond the thick, lush greenery! (We were there in June) In short, our experience with Villa Ojai brings nothing but 5 out of 5 stars in all areas. Kudos to Darryl and the people that work so hard to maintain a premium property!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We had one, nine week stay at Villa Ojai and found it a more than enjoyable experience. The property exceeds the beauty of the pictures. Host Darryl is exceptionally accommodating and was most gracious. We had a number of out of state friends join us at Villa Ojai, all on short notice and Darryl was able to arrange very comfortable and enjoyable places for them to stay on the property. I'm sure they join me in stating the property is impressive, the location is private, yet within walking distance to downtown, the accommodations excellent and the host is great to work with. We hope to stay at Villa Ojai again, very soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

came to Ojai for the Ojai Music Festival, its 65th year, and had a remarkable experience--it's a great festival! Staying in the beautiful accommodations at Villa Ojai was simply a bonus. The setting is very appealing, and the attention to detail in the dwellings is a dream. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Oh, and by the way I found the best hammock I've ever been in--lying out in amongst the lovely trees and birdsong, reading in my hammock, was very pleasurable. One thing that is important in traveling is to enjoy the place you stay, which we did. There were seven of us sharing the main house. Not only was it convenient, but it was quiet and very comfortable. There was lots of room for each of us. We will definitely stay there the next time we travel to Ojai.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Villa Ojai is a fabulous place with an amazing location in Ojai, California. Once you arrive you can park you car for the entire time of your stay. You are only minutes from downtown shopping and restaurants. You can also spend days just relaxing at the beautiful home that is full of art and space. A gourmet kitchen, an incredible master suite and bath...You can sleep ten easily or you can feel quite cozy as a couple. The owner is a great guy who will work with you to make you stay memorable. If you have a group or a family reunion check out Villa Ojai...its unforgettable!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

What a wonderful location! It is a park like setting. Very quiet, comfortable with a cool breeze through the trees. We have stayed here a number of times over the past few years and we are always looking forward to our next visit. Clean comfortable every thing you could ever need to prepair that perfect meal. Walk to town great places to eat or pick up something and bring it home. I would recomend this property to anyone looking to stay in Ojai don't look any further this is the one!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

We anticipated our enjoyment of Ojai's Music Festival. We did not anticipate the exceptional enjoyment we experienced throughout our stay at Villa Ojai. Its kitchen truly accommodated preparation of our, yes, gourmet meals. And, the gently lighted dining room lent elegance to their presentation. Even clean-up was fun. Then there were our cushy beds with their cloud-like quilts and pillows. And, forget the word bathroom. These were luxurious spas. As to your "Review Tips & Guidelines," I would highly "recommend this property to a friend or relative" and further recommend that they take me back to Villa Ojai with them. Sincerely, Doris S.
