A Million Dollar View in the Heart of the Sunset Strip!
Year Purchased: 2003
Why the Owner Chose West Hollywood
The view is amazing and the location is perfect.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The view, the view and also the view! Some people end up doing nothing but reading a book on the balcony when they stay here! Being 2 minutes to the Suset strip and right in the middle of everything in L.A. makes this perfect for sightseeing!
Kodack theater, Grauman's Chinese Theater, El Capitan Theater (Disney's premiere theater...truly amazing inside!); Avenue of the stars;
Between Fairfax and LaBrea, the most eceltic, modern, newest, stangest and everything else.
West Hollywood is home to the Sunset Strip and the center of the gay community.
Hiking with amazing views of the City; dogs allowed to walk off lease making this very popular with dog owners!
Upscale shops and The Ivy and Newsroom are favorite celebrity hang-outs.
Owner's Map of West Hollywood
The house may be small, but it is so cozy, it's on quiet deadend street, AND it's 2 minutes from the Sunset strip. Even after all these years I am amazed by the view and still soak it up!

The apartment itself is really lovely and the balcony is just amazing - fantastic views and a great place to drink a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. Good location - only takes 10mins to walk down the hill and you are direct on Sunset which itself has plenty of bars/restaurants and taxis can be easily taken to other areas. We had a car so in the day we found it in a really good spot for getting to other sites, attractions etc. All in all we had the best time in LA and were so lucky with this Apartment - cannot wait to come back and will definately be contacting Scott to stay here again!

We had a most amazing time living in the sky for a week in WeHo at Scott's place. What a kind host Scott was! We had everything we needed to make our stay fabulous. Swinging on the patio while watching the views and Fireworks!! was amazing. We will be back. Close to all the great restaurants: Playa, Spago, Capital Grill, etc! Barney, Gypsy and Frida loved the patio and walking all over the hills! Thanks Scott!
Owner response:I try hard to make my guests feel like guests!

We had a fabulous two weeks at this property. Having stayed in many high end hotels in the area over the years, I can safely say that the view from this property cannot be topped. The property is adequate for a base, with a comfortable bed, equipped kitchen and a nice living area. It is ideally located, just minutes from Sunset Boulevard. Scott is a very accommodating and honest person and we would not hesitate to stay here again. He lets you know where he is if you need him, but allows you to get on with things and totally respects your privacy. Our days of hotels in West Hollywood are over! Thank you Scott, we hope to see both you and Cooper later in the year. P.S...keep using that face cream, it works!!! xx
Owner response:I try to treat my guests like family...and because it isn't a hotel with room service, maid service and a front desk, I try to be as accessible as possible to make sure everyone's vacation is the best! I loved having you Jac & Ali and hope to see you again!

I have to say that Scott is a great guy with a great sense of humor. Hospitable and considerate, the place is well kept and the atmosphere is chill. Of course, the view is breath taking and turning off the inside lights while looking out at the city lights at night is beautiful.

Plain and simple... The view is worth it.

This was my first time in CA, and i have to say this was the icing to the cake. I was nervous about staying here when i saw the first review but it was too late the trip was already prepared. I got in expecting this to be a horrible place, but honestly it was wonderful. The owner is upfront and honest about the place the pictures and descriptions are all accurate. I'm not really sure what the previous reviewer was talking about. The place was close to the city and I was able to explore all i wanted with ease. The first night i stayed there I sat on the porch and watched the sunset over the city it was a view most people will never get to experience in their lives. I am saving up to make another trip and i will be returning to the same place without a doubt.
Owner response:...and you are welcome to come back!

the view didn't offset our vacation rental requirements. No closet to hang clothes, the kitchen was not fully equipped with basic cooking utensils, and the bathroom has no space. This property is less of 1 BR house/duplex, but more of a studio apartment above the owner's home. The covered parking is the front porch, which is shared with leftover remodeling debris. The patio deck is adorned with a dead potted tree. Missing screens on the patio doors, cracked mirrors on the wall, and it lacked in overall cleanliness. We moved after one night.
Owner response:I don't want to spent time listing all the false information contain in the review, but let's just say there is no front porch, a red leaf Japanese maple tree sheds it's leaves in winter...it doesn't die, and you can't write a review about a place you didn't stay in. Making unreasonable demands promising to write a bad review is not something that will make me succumb to a person's bad behavior. Fortunately I have 3 years of great guests before someone came along trying to get free rent and then writing a bad review for my unwillingness to comply.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers.
Plane tickets $800, Rental Car $200, Walking onto the deck of this property.......PRICELESS!!!

This house was honestly breathtaking...both day and night!! The view was AMAZING!! There is a wonderful long windy road through the homes of the Hollywood Hills to the top where this house is located!! It is right off of Sunset so EVERYTHING Hollywood is right there!! Scott was so helpful with providing anything we needed to make our stay as great as it could be. If you're good tenants, he'll even show you where some highly paid well known actresses live...well their roofs anyway!! ;) P.S. Warning...those scared of heights...do not apply!! This is an eagle's view of Sunset Blvd. and West Hollywood!! Thank you Scott....I'll be back!! (said in a very Hollywood Schwarzenegger accent)
Owner response:I treat my guests like they are MY guests. :)
