We recently returned from two weeks in Maui. We have been to Wailea many times, but this is the first time we have stayed in this unit. We were so happy with our experience that we have aleady booked to return next year. A lot of thought has gone into making the condo accomodating and comfortable. Small touches were appreciated. We arrived late, os it was nice to find packets of coffee, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, and more before we coould ge to the store. This was greatly appreciated. For those of us who like to cook, the well stocked kitchen was great. Every item needed was provided. The kitchen as well as the barbacue grill were immaculate. The view from the lanai was great in the morning and the fact that it is covered from the sun made it perfect for morning coffee and paper, .The arrangement of the bedrooms is very nice. The master bath and bedroom can be closed off from the other bedroom and bath which makes it great for privacy and noise if some guests are earlier risers than others. The proximity to the pool, the foorpath and aparking are pluses. In summery, the condo is comfortable, well appointed, and immaculate. We were veryh pleased with our stay.

We have no regrets at all with our choice of this unit. It exceeded our expectations. We could see whales through the living room window. "Was the listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc?" Yes. "Was the property clean, was it well-maintained, etc?" Yes. "Did the owner provide good customer service?" Yes, exceptional. "Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative?" Yes. "What activities, attractions and restaurants did you like or dislike?" Walking along the beach walk. Boogie boarding. Snorkeling. Whale watching. Driving up Mount Haleakala to see the sunset. Restaurants we ate at (they all were good): Within walking distance (a mile?): Matteo's, Monkeypods, Pita Paradise, Subway, Cheeseburger's. Kihei: Joy's, Antonio's, MacDonald's, Subway, Maui Tacos. Ma'alea: Beach Bum's Lahaina: Cool Cats. Pa'ia: Momma's Fish House--very good, but very, very expensive.

Our thanks to Randy and Julie for sharing their wonderful vacation spot with us. Wailea Elua Village is beautiful...very meticulously maintained. The condo itself was equipped with everything we needed for a great vacation. We ate out, we cooked in, we swam, we read, we walked, we talked, we watched the sun set, and we enjoyed ourselves beyond words. We circled the entire island, and didn't find a prettier spot than Wailea! Randy did a great job of contacting us in a timely manner, keeping in touch, and supplying us with information to make our trip even better. We'd recommend this spot to anyone making a trip to Maui!

Nice alternative to the big resorts

Pleasantly surprised by how nice both the complex and our condo were. The condo has all of the conveniences of home including multiple TV's, wireless access, and a nice assortment of kitchen gear. We loved the patio area and beautiful ocean views. Close to all of the Wailea resorts without having to put up with the thousand other guests and across the street from a great golf course. Very secure property.

Home in Paradise

This was our 2nd visit to this property. This time for 3 weeks. Settling in was automatic. This condo has the feel of a well kept home, with close proximity to the club house, pool and beach. Correspondence with owners is immediate and professional. Their activity recommendations were helpful (especially the snorkel with Suzie @ Turtle Town). So many daily moments with family (representing 3 generations) were enhanced by the accomodations and Elua village. By the end of our stay this experience will be hard to repeat... but we'll be back to try! Highly recommended.

Dream Vacation

The accommodations and location are perfect! There is not only pride of ownership, but obviously a love of Maui that the owners were eager to share with my family. Extremely clean, very very comfortable and an excellent location to the beach and local amenities. Fantastic snorkeling/scuba is only a 60 second walk away, to one of the nicest beaches we could find. No reason to drive anywhere unless you are looking to surf. There is high-end shopping/restaurants next door with a major chain grocery store a short drive away. Our overall experience was better than we could have imagined and we are already planning our next trip back. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for that special trip to Maui.

The only thing better than the place is the owner. Extremely responsive, helpful, and gracious. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep my mouth shut and already recommended this place to some of my friends. The location is superb and the grounds are impeccable. Everything and anything you might need is in the condo. Great snorkeling in the morning right out your door and when the surf kicks up, it's time to boogie board. Walk to Wailea shops or along the ocean path. Terrific place and highly recommended.

We had a fabulous experience with this rental. Julie and Randy have a lovely home. The condo has been beautifully updated and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location is just amazing! It is minutes from the beach and has a breathtaking trail right along the ocean. Restaurants and shopping are within easy walking distance. The Wailea Elua Village itself is very well maintained and has a great pool that is even closer than the beach. My 6 year old had us visiting it every day - he loved it! The rental process itself was very easy and smooth. Randy kept me posted through the entire process. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this unit.

Randy, the owner, is a super guy to deal with. Thorough, informative and responsive. The unit is even better than the pictures show--clean, well appointed, nicely decorated in one of the best locations on the island. So close to the ocean in such a beautiful quiet complex. Everything you need is there, including a newly revonated pool close to one of the best walking paths on the island. I would rent this unit again and again. My only complaint is that I stayed too short a time. Next visit-2 weeks.

Elua Village Excellent Location

June 2011 we stayed two wonderful weeks and I can't say enough great things about the location of Elua Village and this unit itself and the owners. If you are looking for a morning run or an evening stroll along the beach, the sidewalk path is beautiful. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Swimming, boogie boarding, snorkeling beach - right there. Exclusive access to the point where you have resort-quality lounge/cabana chairs that overlook the ocean. Peep in on a nearby luau. The unit is clean, comfortable and tasteful. (I'd probably lose a few mirrors in the decorating ... otherwise, modern and well-appointed.) Beautiful landscaping -- bougainvilleas, orchids, banana trees (check the office at the pool for a few free home-grown apple bananas). The owners are outstanding to work with -- they aren't about just renting you a place to stay but really making sure your vacation experience is wonderful. Truly caring and attentive trustworthy people. They even supplied a Best of Maui entertainment guide that we found really useful - and checked up on us before, during and after the vacation. Who does that these days?

Extraordinary

This was my sister's and my first use of VRBO for planning a vacation getaway and certainly will not be our last! Our review might sound like all of the others here, but what is not to like? NOTHING!!! Randy made it so easy from before the booking process right on through the check-in and check-out. He was always right there with an answer when a question was raised. The condo was fantastic...exactly as pictured and extremely well equipped and very, very clean! The grounds at Elua Village are gorgeous and well maintained. The pools were beautiful and peaceful. Many times we had the upper pool to ourselves. We look forward to returning to Randy and Julie's unit with much anticipation! It was like being "at home" in Maui. Mahalo, Randy and Julie, for sharing your home and making us feel so comfortable and at home away from home!!!

Aloha! Our stay at this unit within the Wailea Elua Village property was nothing short of fantastic. For those of you that have not had the pleasure of staying at the Wailea/Makena end of Maui I would highly recommend it for its more relaxed and 'civilized' vibe. Plain and simple: There's less hustle and bustle in this area, and if it is more activity you're looking for, the Kihei area is a short trip away. As for the Elua property, again the calm and serenity of the complex is what strikes you. Great proximity to the beaches in Wailea, The Shops At Wailea, the Wailea seawalk/promenade and the additional resources of Makena (Big Beach, Little Beach, hotels, La Parouse Bay, etc.) make this a great base camp, especially if you are travelling with a young family like us. All this with easy highway access to the Piilani Hwy make getting to Kahului, Lahaina, Kaanapali, Hana, etc. super easy. The additional amenities associated with Elua are great - fantastic pools; putting green; community BBQ facilities/full kitchen/public computer/fitness equipment at the Pavilion, etc. etc. The staff are rock solid too. As for this unit specifically, we have had the good fortune of staying at the Elua before in units higher up the slope and closer to the road, and this one is far superior. It is about mid-slope on the grounds, and a very short 2 minute walk to the main pool/Pavilion on site, right in front of Ulua Beach. The smaller pool (2nd of 3) and putting green are 3 minutes' walk away in the other direction. All in all, a very convenient location within Elua Village, with great ocean views off the lanai, but without the super-spendy rates of the units that front the coastline/beach. Another great thing we experienced was the professionalism, friendliness, and hospitality of the owners. Although the rental is managed by a property mgmt. company, you still deal with the owners one way or another sooner or later, and I have to say they were top-notch. This is evidenced also by how well-kept and well-stocked the unit was: TV, no problem; web, no problem; kitchen - well stocked and updated; interior - well maintained and updated; provisions - many included. Extra goodies like the beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and picnic cooler were appreciated also. We can't wait to visit again. Mahalo!

Elua Village

I would love to consider Elua Village my home away from home because that's how comfortable I felt during my vacation at this tropical oasis. Elua Village is safe, secure and well equipped for families. I was amazed by how perfectly kept the grounds, pool and gardens were and the friendliness of the staff. Maui has so many wonderful tourist destinations but I found myself completely happy spending time at Alua beach, in the kid friendly pavilion/pool, or relaxing at my ocean view condo. This was our families first tropical vacation and I'd have to say that all my expectations were greatly exceeded from the beauty of which Elua Village is situated to how friendly and helpful the condo owners were. There is no doubt in my mind that our family will return to Elua Village in the future! Thanks for the great memories!

Exceeds Expectations

When you rent a condo in a popular vacation area, you might expect a few things to be less than perfect or "not exactly" as shown in the pictures. After all, even when you book a room at a four-star hotel you sometimes find dirt in the corners. Not true of our stay at this fantastic condo. First of all, it was immaculate: no dirt in the corners, no grout in need of touch up, no stains on the carpet. Second, the location was perfect: nice view of the beautiful grounds and water, close to both pool areas (we often had the upper pool and hot tub all to ourselves), convenient to the beach and walkway, and a hop, skip, and a jump from shopping and restaurants. Despite all of this, we still felt like we were in our own little sanctuary, waking up each morning to chirping birds, the aroma of Hawaiian flowers, and that serene view. Additionally, we found the on-site staff to be friendly and efficient, the free WiFi handy for tech addicts, and the check-in process a cinch. Other thoughtful extras included an abundance of towels, use of beach umbrellas and chairs, a grill on the lanai, and little instruction signs throughout--tastefully done to blend with the decor. So when you look at the photos of this condo, don't be deceived. This place will “exceed” your expectations. We can't wait to return.

What more can we say? We've vacationed in this part of Maui many times, and we've passed this condo complex frequently, and we've often wondered what it would be like to spend a week or two lthere. Now we know. This is a tasteful, outstanding and very comfortable unit. Like the Elua grounds and amenities, the unit is maintained impeccably. The views from the lanai, where we ate breakfast and, ocassionally, dinner, are beautiful; I already miss the sound of birds every morning. Landscaping is understated and carefully groomed. The pool area is a gem; it is quiet, accessible, and beautiful. The unit was amply stocked when we arrived. The furniture (including the beds) were extremely comfortable, with a full complement of the necessary appliances Perhaps most importantly, Randy was a responsive and thoughtful host from beginning to end. He advised us on how to have a crib for our little granddaughter and some beach equipment for our family delivered to the condo before we arrived, so we didn't miss a beat. He responded almost instantly whenever we had a question, for which we were grateful. We'll be back!

Excellent Location - Great Owners

We were visiting Maui for the third time, but this was our first stay in Elua Village. We were very impressed. Elua is a great location. We were steps from a sandy beach where we could swim and snorkel. We took great advantage of the coastal walkway to access the restaurants and other facilities of nearby resorts. The Elua grounds are very well maintained. The staff were super friendly. The check-in process was fast and easy. The unit was perfectly suited for two couples. It was the best equipped unit that we have experienced in ten years of home rentals. It was a pleasure dealing directly with the unit owners. Randy and Julie were very responsive (but not pushy) during the reservation process. They promptly answered all questions and even provided an excellent list of area attractions with helpful advice based on their own experiences. Best of all our deposit was refunded within 48 hours of our check out. That never happened before. We are already planning our next trip to Elua.

Perfect Family Vacation: Paradise!

We enjoyed eight nights in November in Randy and Julie's beautiful condo. It was perfect for our family of 5, including 3 daughters aged 17, 15 and 12. Condo was perfect - as comfortable as home! We appreciated the location of the unit - a very short walk to a magnificent beach, but tucked back enough to be out of high foot traffic, very peaceful and quiet. Our family scuba dived and snorkeled right from our beach! We found the grounds to be perfectly manicured and beautiful. We comfortably allowed the girls to go to the beach and shops by themselves. Randy was excellent to work with - we consider him a friend now! Good thing, since we plan to book with them again :) Thank you!

Back in Colorado for One Day and We Miss "Our" Condo Already

My family of 4 (including two sons 22 and 24) stayed at the condo Nov 13-18, 2010. It is a beautiful and very comfortable place, just a short walk down to a wonderful little beach and a slightly longer walk to other area attractions. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is all new and has all the amenitities, there is a large lanai with a view of the ocean and a grill. We loved sitting out there every morning drinking our coffee, gazing at the ocean, listening to the birds and planning our day. The grounds of this complex are simply stunning. The landscaping is amazing. The beach has a great reef to snorkel, the shops at Wailea are a short walk away. Of course, there are many wonderful beaches in the Wailea area and we tried them all, but this was really our favorite. We highly recommend seeing Willie K at Mulligan's on the Blue, a snorkeling cruise on the Alui Nui, hiking La Perouse Bay. The owner, Randy, is very responsive and easy to deal with and we look forward to returning as soon as we can. Thanks for a great trip!

This past October provided a chance for two related couples(sisters),to return to Wailea for some fun and relaxation. We had been to the area 4 previous visits but it had been awhile and we were new to the VBRO option. It couldn't have been a better experience. The owners, Randy and Julie have a beautiful unit with attention to every detail. Their responsiveness to our needs included a return call while on an anniversary overseas! This was our second time staying in this unit in Elua Village, and we'll likely be headed there again next year. The location in the heart of Wailea, privacy, and peace just cannot be beat. Elua Village is a beautiful property, very serene and well maintained. The condo itself is clean, well equipped, and has all the advantages of home. The brief walk to Ulua beach (less than 2-3 minutes) is fantastic, and the pool is just as magnificent. We were often the ONLY people at the pool, or otherwise accompanied by maybe one or two other groups. Working directly with the homeowners, Randy and Julie, is a breeze. They are prompt, efficient, and readily available to answer any questions. Our security deposit was refunded in less than 24 hours of our departure. Their hospitality makes the stay there even that much more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone interested in a peaceful, relaxing stay in Maui.

We were so pleased with our accomodations at this resort property and especially with this condo! So nice to be able to just grab a snorkel and a towel and head down the path to the beach. Easy access to the pool, beach and shopping! The grounds are so lovely, and we enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning. This condo is well-equipped, and spacious. Very clean and comfortable too. Would love to come back sometime!

Randy and Julie, Thank you so much for allowing us the luxury of staying in your beautiful Wailea Elua Village condo. We had a wonderful time. It was perfect for our family of five, 2 adults and three daughters ages 16,19 and 20. I enjoyed my morning coffe and our early evening cocktails on the lanai which had a beautiful view of the ocean. Your pictures describe the unit exactly as it appears. You have provided everything and anything one would need for their stay. I will recommend your unit to anyone who is plannning a trip to the Wailea area. I loved the fact that it was walking distance to the upscale hotels but yet we could retreat to the peaceful tranquility of the Elua village. The pool was fantastic and had a beautiful view of the ocean. Your unit is within a very short walk to both pools as well as the ocean. My daughters were extemely grateful for the internet access!! I cannot thank you both enough for all of your help during the plannning process as well as when we arrived. The is our first experience with using HomeAway and I was very pleased with being able to communicate directly with the owners. A gem in paradise

Hi Randy Gary, Philippe & I have been home for a few weeks now, and we are slowling adjusting to reality and settling in to our day-to-day routine. But truth be know, we left our hearts back in paradise and we are already talking about our return visit to Maui and to Elua Village. Again Randy, thank you for opening your beautiful home to us. It is a real treasure and we are very happy that we made Elua Village and your condo in particular our destination choice. Your home is spacious, beautifully decorated, well appointed (we lacked for nothing, your kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary gadgets and toys), and oh so perfectly perched. We loved our ocean front view, our evening barbeques on the lanai, and being just a hop, skip and a jump away from the beach and pool. Within a minute, we were at the ocean's edge enjoying the warm waters, playing in the waves and taking in the colourful underworld (the snorkelling was just fabulous)! We also enjoyed the peaceful pace of life that Elua Village offered, such a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of our reality. We also appreciated the top notch service and warm hospitality you extended to us Randy. We felt welcome before even stepping through the door. What else can I say but thank you for everything! The 17 days we spent at your home were pure paradise and we will definitely be back in the not-too-distant future. Until then, take care and all the best!

We stayed in Unit 701 for about 12 days and loved it. There were five of us (2 teens, 3 adults) and we had lots of space. The unit is very well equipped with great flat screen tv in lr, and tv's in the 2 bedrooms. The kitchen was probably the best equipped condo rental that I have ever been in. Tons of towels, including beach towels, cooler, beach chairs, and a great lanai, with comfy cusioned lounge and dining cgairs. Big dining area and lanai tables to eat at. Big Bathrooms, and great location. Mayve a 90 second walk to the big pool/beach area. Easy 10 min walk to Shops at Wailea, few more minutes to the Spa at the Grand Wailea. Kihei is maybe a few minutes drive. Lots of restaurant choices in Kihei and Wailea. We loved everything about this place- location (Wailea, and its proximity to the pool and beach); Elua- good pool, great Pavillion area, very good beach for swimming and snorkeling; the unit- very clean, extremely well equipped, good location in the complex. Wish we were there right now, and hope to return soon.

Randy, we really enjoyed staying at your place this winter. Elua is special with its beach and surf. The condo was well appointed, had all we needed and you were very accomodating. The sunset view from the lanai is special. We have already booked the unit again for next year as the family agreed that our holiday was the best yet.

This condo was perfect for our family vacation. We spent 9 nights here in early November, and I highly recommend it. The condo is gorgeous, with a spacious lanai and fully-equipped kitchen. The location was ideal, with pool and beach only a short walk away (only 2 minutes with a toddler). Once the women discovered that The Shops at Wailea were within walking distance, we could shop to our heart's content. The owners were very helpful and responsive. We will definitely recommend this property to family and friends, and will return on our next trip to Maui.

This is our fourth stay at Wailea Elua, and we will be be back again. The grounds are amazing, and always well kept. The condo is well situated in the property and is close to the pool and beach access to one of the best beaches on Maui. Everything you need is found in the unit, and we especially liked the Queen & Twin bed in the second bedroom. Breakfast on the lanai, lunch at the pool, and dinner at any of the fabulous restaurants in the area. What more could you ask for.

Perfect perfect perfect! The location could not have been better -- walking distance to shops, restaurants, 30 seconds to both pools on the property, 45 seconds to the beach, and a beautiful view from the huge lanai! Not to mention, quiet all the time. The condo itself was COMPLETELY outfitted and beyond clean. Plus, the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful from suggesting restaurants to helping us find a babysitter! We've been to Maui 6 times and have stayed in various places and even in different places in Wailea and this was by far the best place we've stayed. We certainly hope to make it a tradition!

We just returned from our six night stay at this condo and had an absolutely fabulous time. Elua Village on the whole is exquisite. The grounds are immaculate and very beautiful. The condo is very close to the oceanfront pool which looked beautiful, but to be perfectly honest we never used it because the beach is only a few steps further and is even more beautiful. There is great snorkeling on this beach (Ulua Beach) and is perfect for both little and big kids to play in the waves. The condo itself is very comforable and spacious, and everything you need from kitchen gadgets to beach towels and sand toys are there. The only hiccup we had was that the lanai floor was not the cleanest, but the homeowners were very responsive and I honestly think this was more reflective of one cleaning staff rather than the homeowners or management company. The homeowner was very easy to work with, reliable, and followed through on everything in an incredibly timely manner. We had a great time and would recommend this unit to anyone, and hope to stay there again next year.

Hi Randy, sorry it has taken so long for us to respond. We arrived home on Thursday evening and then had a family emergency Friday morning. I am logging on to my e-mail for the first time in 2+ weeks! Our trip was absolutely wonderful. Your condo was lovely and we really enjoyed having the extra space. We have stayed at the Marriott next door a few times and I really wasn't sure if I would like the whole condo thing. I was wrong. You and Julie have such a great space and the furnishings were perfect. We wouldn't have changed a thing. Took your advice and caught the Willie K show at Mulligans-loved it and also had a great time zip lining, luau at the Marriott and driving to Haleakula. Sailed to Molikini with Trilogy and had a great day on the water. Spend some time at the smaller pool (because of the great hot tub) and usually had the place to ourselves. The complex was quite and so well maintained. We enjoyed walking around and admiring the beautiful flowers, trees, etc. You and your wife have been great to work with and we would choose your place again without hesitation. Collin (son) and Jill (his girlfriend) want to go back for Christmas. We told them perhaps next year. We had a wonderful stay at this unit, I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Maui. The unit has been updated nicely, is well maintained and has everything you could need. Elua is a great property, this is the 2nd time we have stayed there and both times have been fabulous. We decided to stay in this unit because of it location within Elua and were really happy with our choice.

What a great pick my wife made when she selected this condo for our 2 daughters to stay at during our vow renewal in Maui. We stayed right next door at the Marriott,but the truth be told, they got the better deal. The location was ideal, close to the beach but away from all the action. The condo itself was very well appointed and the pictures on the web site matched up well with reality. Very clean, nice view of the ocean from the lanai, well equipped kitchen and the Internet access was much appreciated. The pools and grounds at Elua Village are immaculate and secuity was evident which also gave us peace of mind. The owner Randy was great to work with. He was very accommodating and responsive when ever we had questions or needed his advice. His list of favorite restarants was very helpful and and several other pointers very much appreciate. Bottom line, you could not ask for a nicer place to stay in Maui.

This was a perfect condo rental experience. Location, veiw, accomodations were great. Elua Village is pristine and very quiet. Pool area is fantastic. Loved the large nicely furnished lanai. Comfortable beds, top quality towels and and linens, well stocked kitchen with lovely appliances, and internet access made this condo a perfect home away from home. Would love to stay here again!

What a wonderful place. Seriously, it looks just like the photos on the flyer. The view from the lanai is gorgeous - it is very nicely updated. Plenty of room for 4 people - yet small and cozy enough to fill like it is your own place. Everything you need is there. And the location could not be better - both inside and outside the condo. Inside the complex you are close to the main beach walk, close to the pool pavilion - which is beautiful - close to the 2nd pool and hot tub - The grounds are immaculate and like being in a botanical garden - orchids on every tree! We stayed in mid-May and felt like we had the complex to ourselves. Outside - close to Shops of Wailea, golf course area is beautiful - great to eat at Sea Watch on gold course, close to Kihei town, easy to get to all areas of Maui.Towels and sheets are very nice - great to have a washer and dryer. I'm not sure how many ways I can say PERFECT. We hope to come back to Maui in 2011 and we will definitely stay here again. I looked at a lot of rentals and this was exactly what we were looking for and had a great time.

I am reluctant to write this review as I don't want the condo to get booked up but feel it's only fair to let others know what a great place this is. We had a wonderful stay here, the condo is extremely well equipped, comfortable, modern, and the large lanai has a wonderful view. It is exactly as described and portrayed in the description and photos here. Elua village is very pleasant, nice pools and grounds, and Ulua beach is just beautiful. The owners were great at keeping in contact throughout the inquiry and booking process and in the run up to the vacation. We definitely hope to be back soon!
