The Chinon Bungalow at Chien Blanc Lodging is a beautifully landscaped garden bungalow in the Napa Valley, just two blocks from Historic Downtown Calistoga.
The bungalow is individually appointed with outside sitting area. A private entrance leads to a cozy living room, a separate bedroom with a queen bed. There is a full bath which includes bath and shower plus a small dressing alcove.
A twin daybed in the living room offers separate sleeping for an extra guest or two. The kitchen is available for preparing a meal or simply storing your wine and making coffee. For convenience, your bungalow has a washer and dryer.
Separate Living Room/Game Room on property features comfortable sofas, a pool table, a wood burning stove, Cable TV with VCR/DVD, printed and video library and various board games.
Calistoga is located at the top of the Napa Valley, close to Sonoma and Alexander valleys. We purchased this rental because of the great location in downtown Calistoga in the Napa Valley. Calistoga is a great town and, in our opinion, the best town to stay in when visiting the Napa Valley.
This property is located just 2 blocks from downtown Calistoga where visitors can walk to great restaurants, spas, shopping, wine tasting, art galleries, live music and a wonderful museum.

Pleasantly Surprised - a breath of fresh air

We were looking for lodging for our little Oregon family for Pacific Union College's graduation weekend exercises. A seperate bedroom and living area and a kitchen are high on my list when traveling with a two year old and my severe dietary restrictions. Lodging in St. Helena was limited and expensive. This little bungalow was just what we needed. We stayed in the Avignon. The June weather was perfect and we spent most of our time out in the courtyard for meals (fresh from the Calistoga Farmer's Market Sat. morning) and in the game room for pool etc. We used the kitchen and laundry facilities a lot and the air conditioning was great as well. They provided a rollaway crib at no charge. We had 3 adults and a 2 year old in the bungalow and it was quite comfortable. The innkeepers from the bed and breakfast next door were very accommodating and kind. We had a wonderful time relaxing here amidst all the craziness of graduation weekend and moving my sister-in-law out of her dormitory etc. This was a home away from home. It's not modern. In fact it's refreshingly antiquated while entirely functional. Kitschy and charming. We are not big on technology so we never turned on the TV and what internet connection we did use was on my husband's smartphone. So I cannot comment on that end. Although I can recommend that you leave your technology off and enjoy relaxing outdoors with a little local food and beverage. We picked up BBQ from Buster's and created our own side dishes etc. and spent a lovely dinner out on the patio. I would go back.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
