Some of the other benefits of staying here are waking up in the morning having a cup of coffee on the lanai, then taking a stroll, less than a mile, to the beach with facilities walking on the sand and in the surf finding your way to Sharky`s and strolling out to the pier, maybe dropping a line to see what you might catch then back to Sharky`s for refreshments...

My wife and I have lived in Sarasota for the past 25 years. My wife attended Venice High School. We always enjoy boating and going to the beaches in Venice just as much or even more so than in Sarasota. Venice still has the beachtown charm that is missing in so many other Florida locations. With our vacation retreat being so close to all that Venice Island has to offer,Little Venice Theatre, Venice Avenue shops, Sharky`s Pier, Lakes of Venice golf, Scenic Biking Trails,Caspersons Beach, Crows Nest Restaurant and brand new Pineapples Restaurant and Nightclub, all within minutes, it makes it an ideal place to visit.

We enjoyed our stay @ this property for over 3 months. I love personal aircraft, so with the airport just across the street was a nice plus for me. The short run to beach is great. We spent many a day down by the seashore sifting sand @ Casperson Beach for shark teeth and various shells. The close proximity to dining & shopping thrilled my wife. Brought more stuff back then we brought down. The owners of property were always available to answer any question. Library, Hospital.and Post Office along with a great farmers market just a few minutes away. Loved the pool also, heated to a warm 86 . I will be looking forward to go back there again this fall . Great Diggs. Oldease4 re:guidlines. property is as advertised. Recomend only on dates I'm not there. Resaurants, Sharky's, Althea's, Gold Rush, Crossroads, Burgundy Square, Rib City, & my personal favorite is a bit of a drive in Bradenton and Ellenton, The Anna Marie Oyster Bar. Best seafood.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

My husband and I just returned to our home in Alaska from a wonderful vacation in Venice, Florida. We rented this vacation condo and to our delight it was everything we anticipated, based on the photos and description in the lisiting, and talking with the owner on the telephone. Actually, it was even better!! The condo is well designed, nicely furnished, well maintained, and very clean. Venice is a lovely city with great beaches, good shopping, and wonderful restaurants. We especially enjoyed eating at the Honoluana Island Grill (located just across the street from the condo), Sharkey's Restaurant located at Sharkey's Pier, and the Crows Nest located at the south jetty. The seafood at the above listed restaurants was terrific. Last, but not least, I would like to express our appreciation to the owners for their gracious assistance when requested. Very nice people.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at this condo for three months this past winter. We enjoyed being close to the Gulf and downtown Venice where there is lots of great shopping. Our hosts were most accomodating and even took us on a lovely boat ride on the intercoastal. Many great restaurants in the area. Our particular favorite was just across the street called Honoluana Island Grill. This is a great location to see and do many things.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing.
