This is a cozy, quiet cottage where you can take out the rowboat, rent a houseboat, or roast marshmallows next to the river. There is a nearby park with a playground and beach. A library is nearby if you're a bit of a bookworm.
When you're ready to explore, check out Mackinaw Island, Mackinaw City, Charlevoix, Petoskey or Traverse City - each with beautiful views and wonderful shopping. Maybe a ferry trip to nearby Beaver Island might be fun to try. Nearby are great restaurants from the local pizza place to widely known restarants like the Rowe Inn. There's a nice little grocery store and general store that has most of what you need.
This is a more casual place where you can sit under a tree and watch the boats go by, have a fire at night, or walk into town. It's also a good base to explore many of the interesting places up north.

Owner Description
My husband and I bought this place because our real estate lady kept begging us to see the darling little place that was now on the market. My husband has passed away but I have some friends who love to go up there with me at least once a year to check it out because they find it so relaxing.
Why the Owner Chose Central Lake
Central Lake is still a relatively undiscovered town that is located in a beautiful area. The rivers and lakes in the Chain of Lakes were developed for a practical purpose (moving logs further south). However, what is left is a special treasure.
