This is a one bedroom, one bath condo in the Marriott Grand Residence Club, one of South Lake Tahoe's newest facilities located in the new Heavenly Village. The bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, gas fireplace, TV and DVD player. Living room has a Murphy bed and sofa bed, gas fireplace, TV and DVD player. Condo sleeps up to 6 people. The Marriott refers to this unit in their advertising as a Villa, One Bedroom, King Size Bed.
Kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, appliances, dishes and cooking utensils. Bathroom has full size tub and shower with Jacuzzi. Unit overlooks the year-round pool and spas with a small patio off the bedroom. Also included is access to a state of the art health club with sauna and fully equipped fitness center. Heated swimming pool and two relaxing spas with an incredible mountain view. Concierge and bell services. High speed wireless internet access. Free underground valet parking.
Features available in the complex but not included in the fees are housekeeping (there is a mandatory fee at checkout, other cleaning is optional,) on site spa with massage therapy, facials and body treatment, dry cleaning and laundry services, Heavenly Valley Gondola to the mountain (right next door), shopping, restaurants, movie theatre, and winter ice skating rink.
South Lake Tahoe's many casinos, shopping, skiing and dining are within walking distance. Beautiful Edgewood Golf Course and the beautiful Lake Tahoe and its many water sports are very close by.

Year Purchased: 2000
We are a retired couple living in Folsom, California for about 4 1/2 years. Jim is a retired Real Estate Broker thinking about getting back into the world of the employed to help out in these tough economical times. Patty is a retired Library Resource Specialist after working for 37 years in a Teacher's Resource Library for the Santa Clara County Office of Education in San Jose, California. We lived most of our lives in the Bay Area. We moved to Folsom to get away from the traffic and hustle and bustle. We love the mountains and we love to travel. Between us we have 5 children, all married, and six grandchildren. We enjoy volunteering for a wildlife conservation organization (WCN.)
Why the Owner Chose Marriott Grand Residence Club
Jim is always looking for vacation rental property as an investment. We purchased the Marriott property before it was built because we thought it would be a good investment as well as a place we would like to spend some time. We love Lake Tahoe and wanted to own a little part of it. The Marriott purchased it from Heavenly Valley properties, who we purchased it from, before it was built. We have what is called a quarter ownership meaning we have the condo every three weeks throughout the year on a rotation basis. We pay association dues and property tax on a yearly basis. We try our best to keep our rental fees low enough so that our clients may enjoy a beautiful, luxurious place for an affordable price.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We no longer ski so we enjoy the summer months the most. We love to take trips around the lake. We have hiked to the Viking House at Emerald Bay and have really enjoyed the gorgeous view. We love to go to Richardson's Resort to the Beacon Bar and Grill for lunch where we can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake from the deck. We also like to have lunch or dinner at the beautiful Edgewood Golf Course. The view there is also pretty spectacular. We also enjoy just walking around South Lake Tahoe and occasionally even do a little gambling in the casinos. The rest of the time we enjoy just sitting around the pool or in the condo and relaxing. We love having friends come and stay with us also.

This unit is absolutely perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. It is an extremely roomy 1 bedroom with a comfortable double murphy and pullout queen. The Marriott is unbelievable here. If you need towels, soap, shampoo or whatever they will bring it to you immediately, and then they call to make sure you got it and are happy. No daily maid service but you can get new anythings (sheets, towels, shampoo, soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, etc) any time. Also, there is a free laundry center (with the new High Efficiency units) on each floor. The location could not be better!!! Thank you, Patty!!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.
