We had a reunion on this property and it easily accommodated 25+ people. The cabin had everything we needed as far as coffee pots, pans, dishes, slow cookers, etc. I would recommend this property to anyone who would like to visit angel fire. especially nice for skiing (ski in/ski out).
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Five families and two singles had plenty of space and enjoyed privacy as well as camaraderie during our family reunion last week. We had sections B-E: two full kitchens, two full-size washers/dryers, and plenty of sleeping and communal space. Many bedrooms have attached baths. Though I hoped we'd be closer to Santa Fe, I couldn't find anything big enough, which was very lucky for us. This was our best reunion house ever, and It will be hard to top these accommodations for future reunions. The views are amazing and on our first morning, we were treated to a double rainbow right outside the main living room window. This was the first time we've ever had the chance to look DOWN on a rainbow! We viewed sunsets from the same windows (usually while we were ALL eating dinner TOGETHER), and because of those gorgeous events, sunsets were dubbed "angel fire". The decks were comfortable with plenty of chairs and a big table. We had stargazing sessions nearly every night and some got to see their first falling stars! Though we loved this place and would return with no qualms whatsoever, there were some disappointments. The amenities list includes "DVD player" and the photo spread includes a "media room". Unfortunately, the media room EQUIPMENT is not available to renters and the DVD player is just connected to one of the two TV's in the house. There is very little sound insulation (I could even hear the 'foot slide' sound of normal barefoot walking on the floor above me at night) and sub-par skillets (though higher quality pots were in one of the kitchens, no good skillet was available), and some found the bedrooms to be a bit stuffy at night, even with the windows open. However, we adapted and still had a great week, just without movies, with some overdone eggs at breakfast, and a few strategic naps. The drive along hiway 64 is beautiful, both north and south of Angel Fire, but plan your drives to make the most of driving time. We spent a very long day visiting Los Alamos, Bandelier Monument and Santa Fe, and if they were closer we could have divided those into individual trips and spent more time at each. Went river rafting on another day, and took in some beautiful scenic drives on others. There are many stairs (not steep inside, except for loft ladder); some seniors may have trouble with those. Toddlers/preschoolers need to be monitored very closely on decks and driveway/parking area (which fit four cars nicely) where there are steep drop offs
Owner response:Thanks so much for your feedback as it is taken seriously and greatly appreciated. Please note that the confusion over the Media Room has been resolved by guests checking with Property Manager upon arrival. But in order to use the media equipment an adult will need to see get key from Property Manager, only adults are allowed access to the equipment and only adults can operate the equipment. Sorry but not sure we can do anything about the sound insulation but the squeaky door has ben oiled. In reference to the pots/pans/skillets; another complete set of pots/pans were ordered with additional skillets and griddle pans. According to Property Manager Angel Fire was unusually warm this year; probably why so stuffy. A note about extra heaters being available throughout the house is now included in the miscellaneous guest information that is sent out before guests arrivals. Thanks so much for your feedback as we always want every guest to be comfortable and enjoy their stay. Hope you come back soon and get to see a double rainbow again.

The cabin was absolutely wonderful. Our group had such a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for all of us and it was really nice that the cabin was stocked with extra sheets, blankets, towels, etc. The ski in ski out was especially convenient. We'll definitely be looking to make a return trip next year! Thanks for everything!

We stayed here for 4 nights and felt like we were in our own home. There were 9 of us staying there with more than enough room to spare. My favorite thing is that it is so easily accessible with it being ski in/out. It made our stay so much more relaxing knowing that our kids could go in and out so easily. The home is gorgeous and decorated perfectly and oh so comfortably. They had all the amenities covered plus some. We loved having a grill to use too. The wood burning stove heated the entire house and made it that more cozy. The views are breathtaking from the living room. Definitely need a 4WD as our Expedition did not make it 1/4 of the way out one morning as I had to go back down to the ski shop. My kids can't wait to go back :) We felt so at home and are SO appreciative for the hospitality shown us by the Flaherty's. We can not thank you enough!!! My sister wrote a review also and I agree with everything she said too.

This comfortable home was perfectly situated on the Headin' Home trail of the Angelfire Ski Resort. We got dressed every morning and walked right onto the slope and cruised down to the base where we bought our lift tickets for the day. The teens could ski right up to the house anytime they wanted for meals, which we kept warm in a crock pot. That access was such a wonderful convenience I'll never be able to tolerate a generic hotel room for ski trips again! The huge table in the dining area (seats 10 comfortably) was wonderful - it allowed both of our families to sit together and enjoy mealtime. The house had great wi-fi and cable, so in the evenings we were still able to watch movies and update our Facebook pages with wonderful pictures of the house and our snow adventures. :) The home was well equipped with all the daily necessities of life, which was nice when we forgot mundane things like napkins, salt and pepper, or paper towels. There were even small space heaters to dry out all our ski gear after a long, wet day on the slopes. The wood burning stove was a nice touch (very toasty!) and we used it on two or three occasions. We sent the boys out into the woods to gather up some wood. There was plenty of room throughout Section B for 9 of us to stretch out and relax, and it really felt like we were in a friend's home - it was that comfy. Next to the fabulous ski in/ski out feature of this property (which I can't rave enough about), the view from Section B is breathtaking. Big plate glass windows in the living area allowed us to enjoy the view to the fullest, and my husband enjoyed sitting on the porch cooling off after some long ski runs. The house is a good 15 minute twisty drive from town/Angelfire base, and can be iffy in snowy conditions, so I have to concur that 4WD or chains are a must. The driveway is VERY steep. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay in this very nice home. This was the first time I've ever invested in a private vacation home rental (it always seemed a little too personal for me before), but now that I've done it and had such a great experience, I look forward to doing so again. Thank you, Rosemary, for all the helpful info ahead of time, and thank you, Flahertys, for the lovely stay in your vacation home.

We have stayed at the house in both the summer and the winter. Everything about the house and its surroundings is wonderful, whether you are the outdoor type, or not. The view is magnificent. Traveling to and from town is a bit tedious but worth every twist and turn!
