We stayed at Casa Carolina for 4 days with our friends (8 adults and 3 kids). We felt completely at home and had plenty of room. The place is beautiful and has a nice layout. The adults kept to the kitchen, dining room and hot tub while the kids (and our little dog) played in the very large yard with the donkey (very kid friendly), cat, neighbors' dogs, chickens, etc. We took daily walks around the area (beautiful). And, our bed was very comfortable - our friends said the same of their beds. Thanks for the great stay; we will be sure to come back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Carolina. The house and grounds were even better than we expected. Clean house with well-equipped kitchen, expandable dining room table, cozy living room. Comfortable beds, nice linens, two soaking tubs plus hot tub outside on deck. Kids and adults loved hanging out with Daisy the donkey. She is very tame and loves attention...and carrots. Very convenient location, close to downtown Sebastopol - but you feel like you are out in the country. We would definitely recommend Casa Carolina to friends and family and look forward to staying there again next year.

Charming, comfortable, well equipped, relaxing, and did I mention charming? We came for a wine country weekend to celebrate a birthday (my mother's 75th) and we couldn't have hoped for a nicer retreat. After a long day of wine tasting - grueling work, that wine tasting - to be able to return and cook a nice meal and enjoy our wines was fantastic. After all that, falling into comfortable beds was even better. The owner and caretaker were extremely helpful in assisting us with local information and resources. Our only regret is that we didn't spend more time enjoying the Casa. Next time we won't schedule ourselves so heavily so we can enjoy this 'Absolutely Delightful' spot.

What a beautiful house in a pristine location. We were welcomed in by a sprawling garden only to experience a quaint yet inviting country home. Everything was in immaculate condition and we could not have asked for more. The only thing better than exploring the gorgeous wine country and Sonoma Coast was relaxing in the hot tub and staring up into the clear country sky upon our return to our new favorite country home. Thanks for everything.

Having spent a weekend at Casa Carolina, I must say that it is its very own little oasis. From the beautiful landscaped gardens to the lawns, decks, hot tub and nooks, this place has it All. The actual layout of the house makes it a great space for larger groups to have their own rooms with privacy as well as very comfortable and inviting common area's. Every bathroom comes equipped with its own tub, which is Amazing if you love taking a bath as much as I do! This is a great destination for any amount of time you are looking to get away, for it comes equipped for the cooks with a well stocked kitchen, games and animals for the kiddies, and ample space for peace and quiet. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I want to thank Casa Carolina for a fantastic weekend. The house is nestled into the country on a quiet and tranquil hillslope. The garden is delightfully decorated and a nearby donkey adds friendly charm. The house is beautifully rustic and has accommodations to sleep at least 10 people-great for a friendly getaway or even a small family reunion. Despite the tranquil setting in the country the house is a short drive, or 20 minute walk to downtown Sebastopol, close enough to walk in for dinner or ice cream. One can easily explore the beautiful hills of west Sonoma County, the coast, the redwoods, or the Russian River. Thanks for such a wonderful and relaxing weekend. I strongly recommend the Casa Carolina for a weekend (or longer!) getaway.

The house was charming, clean and set in a beautiful setting with a giant sequoia. All these things combine to give you the feel you are in your own private setting, miles away from anything. The kitchen is great with up to date stainless steel appliances for cooking large family and group meals. My favorite part had to be the jacuzzi. Sitting in the hot water in such a lush location could not have been a better and more relaxing start and end to each day. I absolutely recommend Casa Caroline for families, groups of friends, and anyone looking for a romantic getaway.

A beautiful setting for a relaxing time outside of the city. The hot tub and adjacent garden made for quiet and cozy evenings in the countryside. At the same time, the property offers a great starting point for day trips to wine country, Bodega Bay and the charming dining culture of Sonoma County.

I visited Casa Carolina with a group of women friends. We had a wonderful time! The house was charming and comfortable. We especially loved the garden, the hot tub, cooking in the kitchen, and of course, Daisy the donkey. The location is great--accessible to lots of things while still feeling like you're in the country. We hiked in the stunning Armstrong Redwoods reserve (about 30 minutes away). My friends really enjoyed visiting California Carnivores, a nearby carnivorous plant nursery. I wish I could have stayed longer and hope to return!

Casa Carolina is such a warm, comfortable house -- I would highly recommend it. Sebastopol town is fantastic too which is just a short drive from the house. The garden as you enter is beautiful; the huge deck is wonderful for outdoor time too, as is the open "field" area. I took my daughter and her 6 year old friend to Casa Carolina and it was perfect for them. There is a super sweet gentle donkey named Daisy whom the girls adored. The house is meticulously maintained and very tasteful as well as comfortable. It's perfect for a special reunion or a family get away in such a quiet beautiful setting.

I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed staying at your property. We were very comfortable and had a great deal of room. The property was very clean and just perfect for us. We all noted that if we go with our families or when we do our couples' trips we will definitely book your home. Your suggestions were perfect. The private chefs were exquisite! We all really enjoyed Jed and David. Not only was their cooking and class wonderful, but they were so outgoing and enjoyable. We loved their personalities! We had plenty of room to prepare and eat our meals. We also enjoyed lunch at Lynmar and too much champagne at Iron Horse. Perfect suggestions. And, we enjoyed dinner with Trevor at Peter Lowell's. The Cedar Enzyme Bath at Osmosis was over the top! Thank you so very much for helping make our annual girls weekend our best one ever!

I am from Boston and us East Coasters can be cynics; I once read that a cynic is a passionate person who is afraid to be disappointed (Ben Zander from The Art of Possibility). Well, that’s me, and Casa Carolina was magical. It looks even better than it does in the photos. The innkeeper raised her family here, and the energy of home and hearth is felt. There is a care to the beautiful gardens that surround the home and a coziness in the rooms that stands out against other rentals. The home has (3) full bathrooms so no crowding with the bathrooms. The house is spacious so you can get space from one another. It is spotless – very clean, and the appliances are modern and in excellent working order. The bookshelf of visitor materials was fully stocked, with lots of copies of all sorts of different activities. This house is great for couples, a bunch of women or families. There are golf courses, spas, galleries, shops and of course, wine. And, I plan to come back someday. Yes, cynics have breakthroughs!

Driving there, the location was a little like a neighborhood to me but, as we turned the corner to Casa Carolina it was almost as if we were transported to this lush homey property with no visibility of other properties; just everything from eucalyptus to mounds of mint, as far as the eye can see. All my needs were met from the modern kitchen to a flat screen TV and MP3 player. not to mention Daisy the donkey or the sheep and fresh eggs for breakfast. YUM! I could have stayed on the property all weekend with the hottub on the large deck with grill or driven the 10 min. to town to enjoy all that Sebastopol offers; from wine tasting at some of the wine country's finest wineries or just a visit to the open market with local goods and music that make me want to come back to this clean, pet friendly, inviting home very soon.

Casa Carolina is a unique getaway. This is a very comfortable home, with all the amenities and then some. It's setting is spectacular, completely secluded on a stunning piece of property yet it's only minutes away from the heart of Sebastopol. The rooms are beautifully appointed, 4 cozily decorated large bedrooms and 3 baths. One of the bathrooms is in the master bedroom. The other one is more central and features a long clawfoot tub. Kitchen and dining area is great for entertaining. Cooking dinner in the fully stocked kitchen and barbecuing on the patio was perfect. A wonderful retreat - we had a blast!
