Booking and key pick up went off without a hitch, the location is exactly as described and just minutes from the beach its a wonderful location, quite, lovely views of the sea an a long beach to walk on. The beach could be a dangerous for small children as it has sand bars with steep drop offs and rip currents. The house is showing its age, with paint pealing from the window frames and woodwork. Everything is a little run down but functional. But for the price and size of the house it's worth it, if you are not looking for perfection. WiFi internet is available which is a nice extra and we did like the large outside deck to hang out on and the enclosed deck with fans in the heat of the day. We enjoyed our stay immensely; the house was clean and tidy and had all the equipment we needed. Plenty of room for the 7 of us to spread out and Chill.
Owner response:This is a great location to the restaurants and stores on Sullivan's Island, and the house is in a wonderful residential neighborhood. Unfortunately with the house being ocean front the woodwork around the windows does take a lot of beatings from the wind. This is an older home with a lot of wonderful character, good beds, very clean, quite spacious, and well maintained. You will love the views of the ocean from the decks.

This house was everything that the description said it would be, and it was even larger than I imagined. The owner was very helpful in getting us set up for our trip to the Charleston area. The house was beautiful, and was great for the 12 of us that stayed there for our family reunion/wedding trip. We were a quick walk to the beach, and could even walk in to town for any number of restaurants and shops on Sullivan's Island. Poe's Tavern was great, even when we showed up with about 20 of us! We took advantage of a number of tourist attractions in and around the Charleston area, as well - Patriot's Point, the Charleston Aquarium, Fort Moultrie and Fort Sumter, just to name a few. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a place to accomodate a larger number of people. (Great kitchen, too!) If you're there, take advantage of the wonderful screened in porch. We sat out there and told many a family story! My only concern was the circular stairway that went between the 2 floors. We had to keep an eye on the 2 year old and the crawling baby around that. But we managed! It's just a wonderfully comfortable home. Thanks so much to the owner for everything. I hope everyone gets a chance to spend time in this beautiful home. It truly helped make our trip better than expected. Enjoy!

This is old school Sullivan's Island. The house is older but it has tons of character! Artwork is amazing and it was perfect for a house with several families. The walk to the beach is like the enchanted garden and the beach itself is one of the prettiest in the Charleston area. Walk right when you hit the beach and you will find a real treasure down the beach....a beautiful view of Ft Sumter. I would rent again and again. The back porch is great for morning coffee and evening wine. Great restaurants just down the road. We loved Home Town BBQ and Station 21, and you can't beat Poe's for a burger. Linda was great to work with. May weather was great, but I think anytime would be great there!!

We visited Charleston for the April 2011 Charleston Race Week sailboat regatta. The beach house housed 4 couples and one 2 1/2 year old. The setup on the first floor, with a queen and full bedroom sharing a bathroom, worked perfectly for the couple with a child. Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The layout with two living areas was especially good so that the 2 year old could sometimes watch kid videos (when not on the beach) and not disturb the whole group. The views are as good as shown in the pictures. The property is not new, but was clean and maintained so that it can be enjoyed. The location was as stated in the listing description. We spent a lot of time on the screened-in deck, which had room for all of us to sit at tables and/or lounge chairs. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and many within a short driving distance. Of the close restaurants, Poe's was our favorite. Downtown Charleston is about 30 minutes away. I would recommend this property for 3-4 couples, and would return if we came to Charleston again.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with our family. We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the views and ocean breezes. The house was perfect for our family of 12. The kids enjoyed having the downstairs living room, microwave and refrigerator for their game time, and we enjoyed the spacious kitchen, which was fully equiped with everything we needed. We will definately be back next year.

We had seven adults and loved how huge this house is, we easily could have invited several more friends to come along without it feeling cramped. The kitchen has everything you'd need and more, it's very organized too. It was nice having an extra fridge downstairs too. We spent lots of time in the screened porch, the chairs were comfy and the ceiling fans along with the breeze from the ocean made it very pleasant outside even in August. The rental process was easy and we would definitely rent this house again.
Owner response:I am so happy to hear you will return. I agree, the downstairs refrigerator is wonderful. With a living room, dining area, microwave, and sink, having the refrigerator is a prefect setup for two families to share the house or for a great place for the kids to hang out. We look forward to reserving your dates for your next vacation.

We just spent our third annual family vacation here. As usual, loved the views, the breezes under the eaves in the afternoons, bocce ball on the lawn in the evenings, morning visits from a brown ware, and daily visits to the beach. Thanks for the additional grill. Be back next year (Please contact us if you want to sell.)

Our GetAway girls group loved this house on Sullivan's Island. Thanks for the great telescope which made watching the ships really easy. Ate a several great restaurants. Linda was very helpful in planning our trip and I would definitely recommend this house to others.
Owner response:I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. Of course you really did not need the telescope to see the ships, but it is a nice added touch. The view is spectacular from the deck!

What a greaat location. Pictures don't do it justice. House was immaculate, no worry of previous review. Linda is wonderful to work with promptly answered all informtion requests. Kitchen is a nice size for 2 cooks but bring your own pots and pans. The ones there have been too used and need to be replaced. Rest of kitchen dishes, platters, etc are very well supplied. Bedroom and bathrooms are all on the larger side. We had a great time only 15 minutes away from Charleston not to mention the fun that Sullivan's Island has to offer. Great resturants within walking distance (a short car drive for others) and of course the beautiful beach. We plan to return again next year. Thank you Linda for sharing your great beach home with us.
Owner response:Between the ocean views and the location this is the perfect location. We love to hear feedback about the house, therefore there is no need to bring pots and pans, we will gladly take an inventory and replace all that is needed.

Waste baskets were not emptied. Barbecue was broken and we had to buy a grate. Dishes were put away and had food on them as well as frying pan and other pots and pans. Base board heaters did not work. It appeared the house had not been cleaned in a long time. Mold on some of the vents. I would not recomend this property.
Owner response:I appreciate the feedback from this guest and have taken measures to correct all concerns. Please note that all guests have my direct line and if ever there is a problem I encourage our guests to contact me immediately so that we can ensure their stay is a pleasant experience.

This is a great home on Sullivans Island for a long weekend, or even multiple weeks, with plenty of room for everyone. We had an wonderful time here and hope we get the chance to come back sometime, preferable in the summer.
Owner response:The house is perfect for two families to share. There are two Living Rooms, with one floor hosting the main kitchen and the one floor has a half kitchen with a mircowave and a refrigerator. The sun room is right off of the large deck overlooking beautiful views of the ocean!
