Why the Owner Chose Tahoma

Tahoe's Peaceful West Shore is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation at Tahoe. The Tahoma Cabin is a short walk to Chamber's beautiful sandy beach, only about 1/2 block from the Lakeside Bike Path, 1 mile from Sugarpine Point State Park, and convenient to Homewood Ski Resort, Alpine meadows and Squaw valley.
Emerald Bay is a short drive, as well as Meek's Bay beach.
The little town of Tahoma never seems to change much, with it's quaint little country market and several cozy restaurants. It is "Old Tahoe" as you remember it and perfect for unwinding and relaxing.

Owner's Map of Tahoma

My husband and I live in san Jose, and have been renting our vacation rental homes in Tahoe since 2000. We often have our guests tell us that staying in one of our homes is more like enjoying a friend's Tahoe Cabin than a rental house. I make it our policy to have a beautifully clean, nicely decorated Tahoe Style home for your mountain vacation, winter or summer.

    • We had a very nice stay at the Tahoma cabin. It was spacious, squeeky clean (cleaning fee is high, but then again, it IS clean) and the cabin is close to lots of hiking trails, which was what we came for. The kitchen was especially well equipped, and the available crib and high chair were great because we didn't have to carry that much. The payment, check out, communication etc., iIt was all very professionally managed, great. Recommended!

      Homeowner Response:
Note: We pay $30-$40 per cleaner/per hour at Tahoe-Resort costs!

    • Our family had a last minute opportunity to spend a few days in Tahoe; we love the west shore, and were pleased when we walked into this home. This is a spacious, well appointed, clean home. The dinig room and living are are both spacious and the bedrooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed local hikes, local beaches and were centrally located to meet with friends to boat at Sunnyside. If you have time for dinner don't miss West Shore cafe right up the road. With a washer and dryer we were able to clean our beach towels before we returned home. This is a great getaway.

    • This was our first stay at the Tahoma Cabin and we were favorably impressed from the minute we drove up. It's in a nice area, a couple blocks from the beach, quiet and surrounded by trees and other lovely homes. Inside, it's welcoming, and nicely laid out. The upstairs living area was very bright and comfortable, and conducive to relaxing or socializing. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The downstairs bedrooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space for my husband and myself and our teenage son and daughter (and our dog). I'd definitely return and would recommend the Tahoma Cabin.

    • I stayed at the Tahoma cabin for a week with my husband,my 20 month old son and our dog. The cabin was perfect! I cooked almost every meal and had no problem finding the utensils and dishes that were required. It was a very spacious, well appointed kitchen. The area was great, close to the water, the mountains, lots of hiking trails and convienient grocery shopping!! We had so much fun in the snow and Joyce was wonderful with all her helpful information on where to go and what to do. The hot tub was terrific on those cool evenings as well. This pet friendly, kid friendly cabin was awesome and we look forward to going back again in the near future. Thanks Joyce!!

    • This was our first trip to the Tahoma cabin. The home and area were perfect for a family with a dog and two small children. We'll definitely return to this or one of the Miller's other cabins.
