Our group of 4 adults and 3 children had a lovely stay at this wonderful cabin. We loved skiing at Homewood which was not crowded despite the holiday weekend and only a short 5 minute drive from the cabin. It was a great place to bring a dog. Nice trails in the woods for walking nearby. The kitchen was well equipped. The living room and dining room was well laid out with plenty of comfy seating for all. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to any questions. They were a pleasure to work with. We'd definitely come again.

My husband, our two kids and myself spent a week in July in this lovely cabin.... and would have easily stayed another week! Great location, near lots of beautiful beaches, market nearby, yummy pizzeria a few minutes away. The cabin is very comfortable, has everything you need. A very nice layout, enough place for everyone, a great kitchen very well stocked and a nice set up on the back deck for dinner al fresco. We are definitely coming back! Thank you again for a wonderful family vacation.

The cabin is really comfortable. The location is exquisite, just 1 block off the water. The upstairs floor plan is really good for groups looking to cook delicious meals and hang out in the evenings. 20 minutes to Squaw, 5 minutes to Homewood. We're already making plans to return.

My husband, two teenagers, and labrador retriever recently stayed at the cabin/house for a last minute ski weekend. It was exactly what we would want in a house. It was clean, well appointed, nice neighborhood and close to skiing. We hope to be back!

Comment Text: Our two families (4 adults, 4 kids and a dog), had a perfectly lovely vacation in the snow staying in your clean and well appointed Tahoma cabin. Those that like to ski had a 2 mile drive to uncrowded Homewood, while those who like to cook found all the gadgets/pots/pans/etc. in the kitchen they needed to prepare feasts. Loved the hot tub, the entry-way for all the wet snow gear, and the level driveway in the snow. Thanks!

We had a very nice stay at the Tahoma cabin. It was spacious, squeeky clean (cleaning fee is high, but then again, it IS clean) and the cabin is close to lots of hiking trails, which was what we came for. The kitchen was especially well equipped, and the available crib and high chair were great because we didn't have to carry that much. The payment, check out, communication etc., iIt was all very professionally managed, great. Recommended!
Owner response:Note: We pay $30-$40 per cleaner/per hour at Tahoe-Resort costs!

Our family had a last minute opportunity to spend a few days in Tahoe; we love the west shore, and were pleased when we walked into this home. This is a spacious, well appointed, clean home. The dinig room and living are are both spacious and the bedrooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed local hikes, local beaches and were centrally located to meet with friends to boat at Sunnyside. If you have time for dinner don't miss West Shore cafe right up the road. With a washer and dryer we were able to clean our beach towels before we returned home. This is a great getaway.

This is the second time we have stayed at Millers' Cabin and yet again we had a wonderful stay. The cabin is so well equipped and beautifully maintained, we couldn't have asked for more. It is the perfect setting in both summer and winter. We hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful time at the Tahoma cabin which is really a beautiful, cozy home. It was convenient and fairly close to all the activities we wanted to do. It works perfectly for dogs and the back deck was our favorite place. Hope to return again next year.

This was our first stay at the Tahoma Cabin and we were favorably impressed from the minute we drove up. It's in a nice area, a couple blocks from the beach, quiet and surrounded by trees and other lovely homes. Inside, it's welcoming, and nicely laid out. The upstairs living area was very bright and comfortable, and conducive to relaxing or socializing. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The downstairs bedrooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space for my husband and myself and our teenage son and daughter (and our dog). I'd definitely return and would recommend the Tahoma Cabin.

I stayed at the Tahoma cabin for a week with my husband,my 20 month old son and our dog. The cabin was perfect! I cooked almost every meal and had no problem finding the utensils and dishes that were required. It was a very spacious, well appointed kitchen. The area was great, close to the water, the mountains, lots of hiking trails and convienient grocery shopping!! We had so much fun in the snow and Joyce was wonderful with all her helpful information on where to go and what to do. The hot tub was terrific on those cool evenings as well. This pet friendly, kid friendly cabin was awesome and we look forward to going back again in the near future. Thanks Joyce!!

This was our fourth Thanksgiving at the Miller Tahoma cabin. As always, we found it warm and welcoming. I often rent for a week or weekend all over California, and the Tahoma cabin definately offers the most ammenities, a great backyard for the dogs, a very well stocked kitchen, and is in a great neighborhood...not too busy yet not too far away from markets and restaurants.

w have been coming to Tahoma for over twenty years and absolutely love it. Meeks Bay is our favorite beach and the mountain biking is tremendous. Even walking down to the end of the street we came across a bear feeding on berries. The house was great and the kitchen has wonderful pots and pans. We enjoyed lots of great meals as we watched lots of the Olympics on TV. The west shore of Tahoe is wonderful!
Owner response:Thank you so much! We try to have a good supply of cooking tools. I am SO jealous about the bear! In all of our years at Tahoe, I have never seen one!

This was our first vacation with our entire family. Our 2 son's, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons - 4yrs and 10 months had a wonderful time. The house was perfect. Very well stocked with bikes, games, books, washer and dryer, kitchen utensils and tools. Deck was also comforatble. Nolan, age 4 yrs injoyed exploring for new games and things to play with like lego's etc. This in it's self was a game for Nolan. We love the westshore and have camped at Sugar Pine for over 26 years. We tried a place up the road from here a few years ago that was a cabin, not real good. The Millers house was just what we needed. Spent nearly every day at Sugar Pine Pt beaches, we prefer them over Chambers, much quieter and more like Tahoe should be. Went to High Camp at Squaw, that was a blast. Already talking about 2009. You will like the location, home and amenities the Miller's have.

We spent a wonderful week June 21 - 28 with Grandparents, three children and mom and dad. Enjoyed seeing the stellar jay babies in the nest by the hot tub. Enjoyed the flat, quiet and safe neighborhood where the kids biked frequently. Where we live there are very steep hills, so the children LOVES the flat land. We loved the beaches, had glasslike conditions on the water with our Sea Doo. Ate out A LOT! Road the Gondola at Squaw Valley, swam and saw a big Marmot! Would recommend this cabin to all! - Shannon

Only one word to describe "The Tahoma Cabin"- FANTASTIC! We had an incredible week skiing hard at several of the great ski resorts of Tahoe, and to return to the perfect vacation retreat every evening made our holiday absolutely awesome. We unreservedly recommend the “Tahoma Cabin” to anyone wishing to stay in the Lake Tahoe area.

Traveled across the country to ski Taheo, and the cabin was great. The hottub after skiing was amazing, really help me and my friends continue to rip throughout the whole trip. Solid place to stay, clean and good beds and sleeping situations. Too bad about the steamshower not working though.

Our vacation on Tahoe's unspoiled West Shore was magical, and having the Millers' beautiful, comfortable house as a home base added the perfect touch. We enjoyed every moment there, especially preparing meals together in the well- equipped kitchen and feeding taco chips to the Stellar's jays on the deck early in the morning. At night, the area is cool and quiet for sleeping and don't forget to look up at the stars! We'd love to come again. We highly recommend (1) the beach at Meeks Bay, (2) booking one very special meal at Wolfdale's in Tahoe City, and (3) Tahoe Whitewater Tours in Alpine Meadows for rafting on the Truckee River.

We had a great time in this spacious cabin. We had 2 couples and 2 dogs. The dogs loved the large backyard and the nearby beach. The cabin was clean and had all of the amenities we needed (TV, DVD, Hot Tub, Stocked Kitchen, etc.) We'd definitely hope to stay here again. In addition, there were plenty of markets and restaurants nearby so we did not feel too isolated.
Owner response:Thank you! A comment about the nearby beach-Chamber's Beach does not allow dogs in the Summer.(This guest was there in the spring)
