Formally an apple packing shed, Shady Acres has all of the amenities of a modern home, with a rustic feel. Located between the historic towns of Julian and Santa Ysabel, this unique home awaits you and your family for a relaxing getaway in the mountains.
Originally built in the early 1900's, Shady Acres has been fully remodeled into a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. It sleeps 6 comfortably. The accommodations include one queen bed, one full bed and two twins.
There is a game closet as well as a DVD library to choose from. Each bedroom has a TV with a DVD player and there is a flat screen mounted on the wall in the main living space.
Shady Acres is situated on 5 acres with many mature oaks. It is conveniently located in the small community of Wynola, which includes 2 great restaurants, an antique mall, an art gallery, a winery, and a small candy factory. The front porch is pleasantly furnished for guests to play a game, curl up to a great book, or just relax. In the fall and winter, there is a beautiful gas fireplace as well as a gas bar-b-que to use in the summer months.
There is an abundance of wildlife on the property, including deer and wild turkeys. You will definitely get the feel of being in the country, yet close enough to run into town for a slice of pie or fresh squeezed cider!
There is ample parking on the property and several fruit trees loaded with fresh apple, pears and plums (depending on the season) for you to enjoy. There is a washer and dryer available if needed.
