  I can share a few thoughts with you. Good things: The view is incredible and exactly what the pictures show. The location in South Beach is great. The pool was great. The balconies were great. Beach chairs that come with the rental were great. The number of beds is great as there are few 3 bed - 2 BR rentals out there.

  The condition of these rooms is pathetic and made us want to go back home! Let me serve the old compliment sandwich here, the tile floor is nice, the new beds are comfortable, the towels were soft. Don't let the pictures fool you, the "new appliances" and "new paint" is a ridiculous excuse for the term "renovated" (probably why there are NO pictures of the kitchenette area). The vents were so full of dust you could hardly see into them and every corner looked like it belonged in an old garage or unfinished basement. There are no quality details to list, just gross, unless of course you are used to living in a frat house, then you will be right at home. For our FAMILY of 5 this wasn't even close to par. Lets get to the REALLY important details though. This "condo" is extremely vulnerable. There is one key to lock a dead bolt that only goes into a hole in the door frame. I am POSITIVE I could have kicked it in. That's it for the lock. No... No extra lock guard or chain inside. Just one key for one faulty deadbolt. Whatever you pay for this place, know that you are only paying for the view, the beach chairs, and the location, which is the rest of my sandwich. The hotel is TRYING, you condo owners should too.

  Our stay was most enjoyable. South Beach location was superb. 1506 was really 1st class. Housekeeper: Was a very pleasant and helpful person. Beach: The chairs & umbrella were supplied, and was a nice touch. Pool: Was exceptional and enjoyable.

  We loved the place and would stay again! Very central location with incredible views. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of towels available. Helina was great too! We really enjoyed our stay.

  You get what you pay for here. Just a little TLC would make this place great. Instead its good but rough around the edges. Good: Beach side, Ocean View, decent hotel Bad: Curtains Missing = early sun, nothing on walls, terrible paint job, weird AC unit, decently clean This place is for the beach and view, everything else is a bit rickety but fine. Enjoy Miami, romance your lover.

  Stayed in this owner’s studio over New Year Eve. What a Happy New Year! We asked the housekeeper for a recommendation for dinner and we were so happy. This studio has been freshly painted and is all we needed to ring in the New Year in South Beach. We could walk everywhere. The rate was at least 40% off Shelborne Hotel rates and was well worth it.   "We leased this studio over Thanksgiving for a get a way weekend. We had the best time. The studio was simple but had been freshly been painted and beautiful. We loved waking up to the best view from our studio. The Shelborne is a great place and will be even better when it is finished being remodeled. Will be back next year.

  I do not know what was the worst, in the building which houses the Apparment, or the apartment itself! The building ( The Shelborne Hotel ) is in urgently necessary renovation work. This means mud and noise everywhere at the hotel for the guest. The lobby was totally colsed during my time in the Hotel. The swimming-pool was not usable because of the noise. The " fitness centre " is in an awful and extremely danderous state. On the website of the hotel is there no reference to the construction work, and the owner has also not informed me. Now to the Appartment: The pictures and the description on VRBO have nothing in common with the reality. The " kitchen " is only a Refrigerator with an Microwave standing on on top. There is no sink no kitchen unit as it showes on the picture. To wash the dishes you must always go in the bathroom. The washbasin in the bathroom has jumps what is quite unsanitary. The promised Internet access was not there, not even the phone. From the smoke detector there was only the fixture. During my stay it was twice a power outage. And so on..... The owner has not reacted to my discomfort. Only his secretary has apologised by email for the inconvenience with the note not be responsible for anything. My result : never ever again!

  Owner response: It is true that the Shelborne Hotel was in the process of being renovated extensively during this guests stay. I recommend viewing the extensive renovation pictures via their web-site, it is gorgeous. Our beautiful studios include a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker for our guests, which is part of our description through our VRBO listing and email correspondence to our guests.   This was our first vacation in Miami and had a blast, I would recomend Miami and the Shelborne to anyone, the room we stayed in could use some updating it was't to bad, we only slept there spent most of our time out and about, if we were came back to Miami again we would stay in the same room.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car.
