Step outside and you're on the Malecon with the bright colors of the street vendors and a stunning view of the Pacific at your toes. Walk a few blocks south and you're at the most famous beach in all of Vallarta - Los Muertos Beach. Walk a few blocks north and you're in the city's downtown square. Hundreds of restaurants, shops, the flea market - all within a five minute walk - you can't beat it!
This fantastic two-bedroom (one with king, 2nd with two twins or make it a king!) marble bath, fully air-conditioned condo is in the heart of downtown Puerto Vallarta. The rooftop pool and sun deck provide stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, and an incredible panoramic view of all of Puerto Vallarta. Recent renters comments: Since we totally go to relax and eat out in Puerto Vallarta, this location is PERFECT! Walking distance to all of our favorite restaurants (River Cafe, LeBistro, and Trio.) This makes your location ideal. We loved staying in town and would definitely rent your condo again in the future. Your condo is such a great value!

The kitchen comes equipped with sink, fridge, full stove/oven, microwave and coffee maker - everything necessary to make this your home away from home. The bath and bedrooms come equipped with linens in bright Mexican colors. Enjoy stunning views of the Pacific from your 25 foot long balcony (look left and see the ocean, look right and see mountains!) off of the living room and the master bedroom. (Condo faces north.)
The building has a stunning roof-top pool and large sundeck with views of all of Vallarta, in addition to 24 hour security, fountains in the courtyards, laundry room on each floor, fitness center on the second floor, 24 hour door man, and security gates. The twice weekly maid service will make your vacation hassle free!

This is just the greatest condo, and what a bargain compared to other rentals in the area. We used to rent on Los Muertos Beach, at twice the price for the same thing! Never again! Plus, your roof top pool is the nicest in town, and the entire building is just stunning! I love the decorating, the balcony, the privacy of two separate bedrooms located at opposite ends of the condo-and you were right-we never took a taxi or bus-just walked everywhere! We are back from what we consider an exceptional and memorable stay in your BEAUTIFUL condo in Puerto Vallarta. Everything went beautifully. The cleaning lady did a good job of keeping the place tidy. The condo is truly magical and the people are incredibly kind. I will certainly recommend the condo to my friends. IMPORTANT: All condo rentals in Mexico are subject to taxation. Many condo owners do not know this. Enforcement of tax paying is strong (the renter and owner may have to prove that taxes on the rental have been paid). Whatever condo you rent, BE SURE to get documentation that your condo owner pays federal and city taxes in Mexico-just paying taxes on the income in the US is not enough. I provide my renters with my tax identification to prove tax payment. 17% is the total tax they should pay on your rental. We also require a $100 security deposit which is fully refundable once you return our keys.
There are almost no other condo buildings in El Centro (downtown) on the water, because the Malecon (Boardwalk) fronts the ocean. You can walk EVERYWHERE---to Liz Taylor's home-4 blocks away-where she built a bridge over the street to connect her house to Richard Burton's! Many of the great restaurants are right down the street-Trio, Cafe des Artistes, Daquri Dicks. Shopping is right there--the famous flea market is only 1 block away!

Why the Owner Chose Downtown (Viejo Vallarta)
Vallarta is magical and unlike anywhere else in Mexico. It has both mountains and the ocean. The mountains are actually a jungle environment so the lush greenery is gorgeous. Vallarta retains its Mexican flavor while still offering modern conveniences to make non-Mexicans feel comfortable. Why downtown? I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's in the heart of the city and walkable to everything. You just miss so much being in the hotel zone or up in Nuevo Vallarta.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
There are VERY few properties RIGHT downtown and literally on the ocean. No other property in Vallarta offers the proximity to both Los Muertos Beach, the flea market, the best restaurants, and the downtown main strip. It's all about location - and there is none better in Vallarta than Malecon II.
