Exceptional Accomodations that will Exceed Your Expectations

My partner and I spent our civil union honeymoon at this property. I visited PVR Zona Romantica before and stayed in the most highly recommended accomodations available - We will be returning to this rental instead of those. Selva is meticulously maintained: The pool is exceptionally large, was a perfect temp in early May, and the view from the infinity edge is breathtaking. The grounds can accomodate anyone who desires privacy or who wants to talk with other guests. The gym has equipment to satisfy any fitness freak on vacation (if not, 2 excellent gyms nearby offer passes.) The rental unit is more than well-appointed and the pics on VRBO do not do it justice! The kitchen has everything one will need; the washer/dryer is an excellent perk; the living room/dining area is tastefully furnished - the couch is extra comfy and there is a gorgeous view at all times from the dining table. The large flat screen TV has surround sound, DVD player, and cable with many channels in English, and there is wi-fi for laptop/iPad users!! The bedroom has a great deal of space and the bed is sooo COMFORTABLE, a rare find!! The bathroom has a huge walk-in shower. The 2 air conditioning units work extremely well, cooling off the rooms quickly. A very sweet maid did an excellent job cleaning for us mid-week and all property staff were very pleasent and helpful. We felt extremely safe at all times. The unit is at the top of a picturesque hill. It may seem like a real challenge to take the steep steps on one side or to walk up and down the steep hill on the other, but the exercise is worth it; after all, the location lets you escape the busy street life below the property. At the bottom of either side are great shopping, dining, and nightlife areas. Be sure to catch a drag show at The Palm (even if you are straight!) and visit the amazing art galleries, especially Galleria Dante!! Cafe San Angel deserves to be your routine spot for food and drink, massages next door at Metamorphosis are excellent, Don Guacamole is exceptional for Mexican cuisine, Marantina serves amazing gourmet dishes/drinks (Garbo's also for drinks), Swedes Bar has cool evening views from the small balcony, La Noche (gay) is very swanky with strong drinks(!), avoid "beach seating" at shoreline restuarants if you don't want sales people politely interrupting you (sit inside). The property owner is trustworthy and quickly responds to questions/concerns. We give this rental and him 10 out of 10 stars!!

Upscale, near everything

The condo and the complex exceeded my expectations. My husband and I have been coming to PV for 14 years but this was the first time to stay right in town rather than at a resort. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet, removed from the bustle of the street it was despite being a 3 minute walk to a street filled with retaurants, shops, cabs as well as about 5 minutes to the beach. It was also within walking distance of the town square, cathedral and the malecon.The condo was clean and attractively furnished with the convenience of a washer/dryer.We felt totally safe in the neiborhood and the complex as it was gated and had security THe infinity pool was a great place to relax and enjoy athe views were fabulous. THe owner was very easy to work with.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

John and Will's Excellent Vacation...

How often is their perfection? This spot is pretty much it. Spectacular complex with 24 hour security, upscale amenities and a view that will take your breath away. From the second we arrived, I felt nothing but comfort and pampering. The Potent coloured Bougenvelia is cascading down the stunning sun bleached White of the buildings. With several buildings within the complex, each suite is on the end. The space is perfectly designed with floor to ceiling open windows that create warm cross breezes, The kitchen is like something an upscale chef would use to shoot a TV show. The bedroom and spa like bathroom are instantly welcoming. Very soothing and relaxing which is what you want in a vacation of this calibre. Not cheap by any means, but when you are treated to this place, you will never regret the money you spent. To our surprise our maid came twice in the week! There is no need to leave the complex. The infinity pool is an illusion like no other. Even though there is nothing like being at the beach in PV( and it is a 3 minute walk to the beach), sometimes it is nice to escape the bead salesman or being asked to go parasailing or jet skiing. From here PV is yours to explore. The upscale restaurants and shops of Old Town are at your feet. There has been some horrific news lately about Mexico and yet I never once felt unsure or that anything bad could possibly happen. Selva Romantica is locked down secure with two roaming guards walking the grounds 24 hours a day. You also need your key to get in AND out of the complex. This only adds to making sure we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in paradise. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to pamper themselves with luxury and have the vacation that is both exciting and relaxing. This is it, the perfect spot....

Great location in Old Town

The property was well-equipped, in great condition, and spacious (just two of us). The pool had a beautiful view of town and was very useful (Los Muertos Beach is pretty rocky so not great for swimming). The owner was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Staff within the complex was also friendly. It's a quick walk into the center of town but far enough away so you're not overwhelmed by tourists.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

This condo turned out to be as good, if not better than expected! Walking distance to all of PV's attractions, Malecon, great restaurants and the beach! We highly recommend this place!

We were surprised at how wonderful this place was... and we are picky travellers :) It was upscale, clean, comfortable and charming. It is a quiet little oasis in the middle of old town PV. The infinity pool is never overcrowded, has an amazing view of all of PV during the day and a great place to watch the fireworks at night. Note the pool rules (which are actually quite few) as you come in. The stocked gymn is situated with a view as well! The king size bed is super comfortable and wow, the bathroom is huge! The pictures cannot do it justice. Every morning tropical birds come to a big tree outside the dining room window - very cool pajama photo op! As an aside, everyone who works at the complex was super helpful and friendly, not to mention the owner of this property who was more than generous with information, etc.

The accommodations more than exceeded our expectations. The condo is well appointed, very comfortable and a great place to stay while in PV. The complex has a great pool and gym. You are within walking distance for everything you need, restaurants, shopping, groceries, the beach. We can't wait to go back. See you next year. Cheers

I was fortunate enough to be the first one to stay in the condo. Although August was a bit warm the location in Old Town was perfect. It was beautifully furnished, everything worked as expected, it is close to the pool which has one of the best views in PV. What can I say, I will be back next year!
