Our family of four stayed here for a week and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! We have an 11 and 13-year old and we all enjoyed the condo immensely. For starters, the location of Reef Residencias is excellent -- about 15 min. from downtown Cozumel and away from crowds of any kind. It is adjacent to 2 small resorts that have live music that is just loud enough to enjoy, and can be shut out by going indoors. You can also enjoy spa treatments at the resorts and lounge among their amenities. The condo complex has two pool and a stunning beach dotted with palm trees. The condo is situated right on the beach on the ground floor with an expansive wrap-around porch facing the ocean - it's probably the best unit in the entire complex. The complex has a security gate with round-the-clock staff checking everyone that comes in yet the vibe is safe and totally relaxed. The condo is outfitted superbly with all the snorkeling, beach and pool gear you could want. Also plenty of beach towels, etc. A housekeeper came every two days and clean the place thoroughly and changed all the linens. The photos give a very good depiction of the space. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the beauty and charm of the Mexico. The people were kind, friendly, forgiving of our broken Spanish, respectful and helpful. We felt completely safe throughout the entire island and using US dollars or pesos was no hassle everywhere. We discovered many excellent restaurant offering a wide variety of food and cuisines. There are Mayan ruins to discover, incredible snorkeling/diving and plenty of excursions for all ages, decent shopping, great grocery stores that sell everything you could want above and beyond food. Can't wait to go back again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Love the place. Great access to the beach and pool. You can see sunsets and the boats in the water at all times. The porch is wonderful for having outside activities with the kids when it is the hottest time of the day. Even if you want to avoid the sun, you can hang out on the porch and have lunch, very private, and can hear the water. Beautiful place to relax and enjoy time with our family. We missed going one year and we were so sad. This year we are going to not miss it again. It is not too far from town, but a lot of times, once is enough. We have stayed in 5140 4 years in a row. It is truly paradise! My kids count the days until we go. The condo itself is comfortable and beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and the beach is amazing. About the owner: We're a group of 5 friends that set out to own a piece of paradise! We all have kids and families and a love of the island. This condo is truly a 2nd home to us and our families and we put our hearts into making it that.
Why the Owner Chose Cozumel Island:
We looked at several properties on Cozumel. But the Residencias, and this condo in particular, were perfect. The quiet beach, the just close enough location to town, closer to the reefs, the wrap-around porch with a constant breeze and direct access to the beach and pool, the beautiful craftsmanship evident throughout the construction - it spoke to all of us.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
One of the best parts of this location is the choice you have. Dive boats can pick you up easily; the pool & beach are almost empty; but down the beach either direction are numerous activities, people & parties!
And you'll be so spoiled by having only 2 steps down to the beach that you'll wonder why you ever stayed somewhere that made you get in an elevator!
