Whether you are an avid boater and fisherman looking to conveniently tie your boat at this beach home’s backyard boat slip or simply want to enjoy the Lemon Bay vistas from your tropical lanai and heated pool or stroll the pristine Manasota Key sugar sand beaches, this private beach home will not disappoint! A slice of old Florida has been preserved on the island – enjoy watching dolphins frolic in the turquoise waters of the Gulf, sea turtles, gentle manatees lolling in the warm waters, the antics of pelicans and egrets hunting for their dinner, excellent shelling on our pristine beaches, breathtaking sunsets, extraordinary fishing – snapper, redfish, snook, cobia, mackerel, tarpon, whiting, jacks, sheephead.
Situated on the southern portion of Manasota Key, an unspoiled barrier island adjacent to Englewood - our charming four bedroom, three bath beach home features a spacious, comfortably furnished great room and bright updated kitchen with breakfast nook. Our home is ‘horseshoe’ shaped with sliders opening from the airy great room, the master bedroom and the kitchen to a comfortably furnished lanai and private heated pool – perfect to enjoy the Lemon Bay views or to keep an eye on the kids at poolside! The open floor plan living room and dining room is attractively furnished with updated tropical decor and includes cable TV and DVD/VCR. The master bedroom features include a queen sized bed, private bath and walk – in closet, cable TV. Second and third bedrooms feature queen sized beds and is adjacent to a full bath. The fourth bedroom offers twin beds, cable TV and is adjacent to the third full bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes with an electric range and microwave, full sized refrigerator with water/ice in door and dishwasher. In addition, this ranch style home includes a carport plus a storage room for stowing fishing and beach gear, and a laundry room with full sized, newer washer/dryer, barbecue grill. This floor plan is truly a perfect situation for indoor/outdoor vacation living – no stairs, just comfortable amenities, privacy and views!
This vacation getaway is located on a secluded bay side cul-de-sac yet is just a short block and a half walk to public beach access or a walk/two minute drive to Stump Pass State Park beaches. Without leaving the island you enjoy the option of lovely restaurants featuring live music or casual beach/tiki bar dining, shopping, kayak/boat, jetski and scooter rentals, charter fishing excursions and sunset Lemon Bay cruises. Golf, theater, horseback riding, eco-tours, cinemas, para sailing, and organized shopping excursions to Sarasota and St. Armands Circle are a short trip off the island.

Owner info
About the owner: We started coming to Manasota Key to visit our grandparents who were avid fishermen. The tradition continued when our parents purchased on the island and we in turn brought our own children. Countless happy hours sailing, picnicking and 'beaching' it were had. Manasota is Old Florida at it's best! A perfect spot to relax and restore - or get out there and enjoy all the Gulf waters have to offer.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
It's my ritual to grab a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise at the end of our street. Dolphins are usually gliding by or catching breakfast. The dramatic show is at the beach at sunset. It's not to be missed! For walkers, you need to take the beach hike to Stump Pass - it's quite a distance but definitely worth the trek. Quick tip - order out at the Lock and Key for instant hor d'oeurves for your Happy Hour on the lanai. Oh yes - don't forget to spend an afternoon strolling the shops and galleries, and grabbing a bite to eat in the Old Englewood area.
