You don’t need to go very far to enjoy the sun and surf. One block from the beach located off of East Cliff Drive between Capitola and Yacht Harbor. This hideaway is ideal for a couple or a small family. This second story one bedroom, one bath, is warm, comfortable and very inviting. Gourmet kitchen and great room look out at an outside deck. Outside deck allows you to BBQ and check out the waves at the beach along with a view of the lagoon. This 700 sqft. guest house has all new floors, tile work, appliances, cabinetry, counter tops and home décor. It is adjacent to the Hawaiian Style Beach House listing VRBO…123636, but shares no common walls or hot water and is very private.
Includes all linens, towels, and bedding along with wireless internet access, and LCD HDTV.
So you don’t waste time getting to the beach we have beach chairs, towels and a couple of boogie boards for your use while you stay at Hale Nalu.

Why the Owner Chose Santa Cruz
Our reason for choosing Santa Cruz was easy. My family and I love the beach and the surf. There is nothing like listening to the waves crash on the shore or to watch the sunset. We live in East Bay of San Francisco and wanted at place we could all enjoy as a family or with friends. The guest house is located in between Santa Cruz and Capitola were you will find a great deal of beach activities from sailing to surfing to just walking on the beach. Santa Cruz also has the boardwalk, which is the biggest attraction. It is has rides, arcade, concerts and something for everyone. Capitola is a very quaint little beach town with great restaurants, and shopping. The entire Monterrey Bay has a great amount of things to see and do. You could take day trips to see the Monterrey Bay Aquarium and to Carmel, which is about 45 min away.
The guest house is located in between Santa Cruz and Capitola were you will find a great deal of beach activities from sailing to surfing to just walking on the beach. Santa Cruz also has the boardwa
The Boardwalk is a major attraction in Santa Cruz. The boardwalk has rides, arcade, concerts, shops, restaurants and something for everyone.
Quaint beach town filled with great restaurants, bars and wonderful shopping. Located on the beach, four miles from the house. For exercise it is a great walk along the beach and cliffs of pleasure p
Cowells is one of the best places to learn how to surf. At a surf shop called Cowell's, across the street from the beach, you can get surf lessons.

We bought the house after it had be rented by college students for 10 years. We completely renovate the house and guest house. We fell in love with the age and character of the house and wanted to bring it back to it orginal beauty. We also wanted to make it a place that people would enjoy hanging out and being comfortable in. I was born and raised in Hawaii and I wanted a home away from home. So the island decor fit perfect with the house location to the surf and having the Aloha Grill down the street was perfect. This a place that all generations can enjoy. My family of four have stayed in the guest house and have been perfectly happy and comfortable.
