Why the Owner Chose Venice Beach

The edginess and charm of Venice Boardwalk has always been incredibly unique. Carl saw the potential for growth in an area of Los Angeles noted for being a creative gem but still a little rough around the edges. Gradually as more celebrities started moving into the area along the quiet walk streets such as Eric Clapton and Julia Roberts, Venice Beach grew in its reputation as a hip and cool cutting edge place to be. For Carl, there was no better place to set the benchmark for the utmost in cool, well designed furnished apartments with all the character and charm that is synonomous with the orginal Venice Beach.

The location is incredible and balances artistic bohemia with natural beauty. Across the ten meters of The Venice Boardwalk is the bike path and the sandy beach. The expansive Venice Beach is several hundred meters wide and stretches as far as the eye can see in either direction. The bike path runs from Pacific Palisades to the north all the way down through the cities of Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, past Playa Del Rey, past LAX and all the way down to El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach and Palos Verdes. The entire journey is 21.1 miles along the beautiful pacific coastline. It is filled with people on their rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles, even unicycles and two-seater bikes. You might say the raison d’etre of Venice Beach is people watching, there is no end to the myriad of street artists, musicians, colorful characters and sideshows. The best thing about Venice Beach is its ability to adapt and move with the times without ever losing the magical and unique charm that lies at the core of its community.

The Unique Benefits at this Apartment

People visit the Venice Breeze Suites all over the world. People from the Scandinavian countries really love it in the winter because it is much warmer than it is at home. Of course the snow birds from Canada also love it; they regularly go swimming on New Year’s Day. During the day it is an urban environment where you feel the hustle and bustle of the city and the Venice Boardwalk experience. However, at night the Boardwalk quiets down and you see a few people strolling in the evening. The street vendors go away and the music stops on the Boardwalk. The evenings are a good time to go up on the roof deck and enjoy your favorite beverage, beer, wine, cocktail or soda, and watch the sun slowly sinking into the Pacific.

Staying here gives you all the beauty and charm of the beach area whilst being just a short drive from Santa Monica, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Hollywood and dowtown LA

Owner's Map of Venice Beach

Carl Lambert now owns four lovingly restored properties in Venice Beach, setting a new standard of accommodation on the Venice Boardwalk, where old world charm has been revived and enhanced to include modern conveniences. Carl also owns several quality boutique hotels on Catalina Island including the Avalon Hotel.

Carl’s ethos has always been to offer consistently excellent hospitality, ensuring people are happy and comfortable. He takes pride in the creation of individual properties that offer an experiential lifestyle where it is possible to “Live Like a Local” as opposed to staying in a characterless hotel away from the real Venice Beach

Date of Stay: 10/28/10 Review Submitted: 11/01/10

We had a fantastic week in Venice and most of that was due to your wonderful digs. I will get around to writing up a very positive review but I would like to express to yourself what a pleasure it was to stay in such clean and well appointed accommodations. Everything worked, everything was clean and there was not a thing we needed. We had a ton of fun just hanging out the windows watching the circus always on parade below our building. What a hoot! But so many things left undone and lots to be done again! Next year we will be down for a month. hope to see you then and once again congratulations to your well run establishment
