  Our group thoroughly enjoyed the lakehouse! Lots of space - 4 comfy bedrooms, lots of seating. 8 adults (4 couples) fit comfortably in this house all week. Kitchen was great for our eat-in meals - used the grill twice. House was well stocked with linens, towels, kitchen supplies, etc. Although I was aware of this - it needs noted - you cannot swim at or anywhere around the lakehouse. The water off the dock is green/slimy/gross. You must travel by car to find somewhere to swim. Plenty of restaurants around the lake ranging from dives (I say that in a positive way) to nice (pricy). Several marina's will rent pontoon boats & jet skis - our group enjoyed our day on the lake in a pontoon boat. A couple golf courses in the area in addition to the expensive ones over by Vernon, NJ. Mohawk Lake was fun - close to the lakehouse - waterpark with 7 slides and beach area - fee to enter. Close to NYC - we rode the NJ Transit train in to the city twice and did all the NYC attractions. Jersey City, NJ is a 45 minute drive from the lakehouse - directly across the Hudson River looking at NYC - nice eateries on the waterfront. Plenty to do for adults. Grocery store & liquor store10 minutes away. (Why can't you buy beer or wine in a grocery store in NJ?????) Yang was great to work with - answered all my emails and questions. I would recommend this property to friends looking for a relaxing week - the house met our expectations.

  I had the pleasure at staying at this beautiful lake house this past June and it was nothing less than perfect. The owners were amazing and accessible for any questions and the house was clean, had everything you needed, and I would go back many more times without question. I have rented several houses over the years on lakes in the area and this one is far and away the best one I've stayed at.

  We have celebrated a big birthday of my mother-in-law over a weekend in mid-June 2012 at this wonderful house. The view is so good that we definitely want to come back. We rented the big pontoon boat for 2 days and took relaxing lake trips in between grilling filet mignon and other steaks on the barbecue grill. We had waves of family visits and everybody enjoyed themselves. We had kids as young as 1 year old and we were able to block them in on the top deck by moving a bench, so that they would not escape. This beats Lake George accomodations by an order of magnitude! So if you are wondering whether to go to Lake Hopatcong and stay at this house, or rent a house at Lake George, you will not get anything close to this there.

  We stayed in this house for three weeks for a long family reunion. The house is spacious and nice, everything in working condition, linens available, gorgeous sunroom etc. Could have been cleaned better though, just s note to the cleaning lady. A lot of personal things of the owners and even food left in the fridge so it's not like one of those empty houses left just for you. Unfortunately, the outside of the house facing the lake is unkempt and not suitable for having a party or picnic - tables and chairs outside were quite dirty. But we enjoyed the sunroom well enough. The water is on the septic system so you have to be careful that no water leaks from toilet etc. Two major things: 1- you CAN'T swim in the lake from the dock! It's all growth and too shallow and muddy. To be able to swim in the lake you either have to go to the Lake Hopatcong beach (fee for entrance) which is 20 min away by car or rent a pontoon boat which is $300 per day at the local Marina, and swim from the boat, that's what we did. We also rented a row-boat from the neighbor for fishing and it was much cheaper than renting at the Marina. Fishing was great. However, if you want to swim from the dock - forget the idea. Second main disanvantage - if you have a baby, there is no place to go in the neighborhood for a walk with a stroller. It's a quiet dead end street and that's it, a busy road then. So to go for a long walk which you sometimes need with a baby we had to drive somewhere. There are a lot of hiking places in the area (Mahlon Dickerson Reservation, Mount Hope Park etc) but you have to drive there. NO place to just stroll with a stroller. Otherwise, a great house.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  My husband and I were in New York for 10 days. Great amount of time for a first trip. The apartment we stayed in was perfect, big for two people but perfect for 4 people. Very spacious which is very rare in New York. We had everything at our door step, chemist around the corner, supermarket 2 blocks away, bottle-o across the road and great Chinese take out (needed for those longs days on your feet). Subway 4 blocks away if needed but we seemed to walk everywhere. The apartment was very clean and the owners were fantastic. Location is great also. Planning on staying there again in 2013.

  Our family had a wonderful time. The property commands a spectacular view of the lake, is well-appointed,and tastefully decorated. The managers of the property are amazingly helpful, extremely pleasant, and accommodating. It was everything we hoped for and much more.
